I thoroughly enjoy your videos and learn a lot from them. Much appreciated! I’m about to upgrade from my current axe and following you I noticed you use different axes culminating in the current GB one. Is there a reason for changing axes? Is there one you would prefer over the others? Thanks for your input. Ilan
Hi there! So I use a lot of different axes to test and reference. The GB is a wonderful axe, but can feel heavy over time for a lot of people. Have you been looking at multiple axes?
Really appreciate these videos - so helpful for learning (and just plain great to watch!). Cheers!
So happy to hear that, thank you!
A joy to watch Andy.
What wood are you carving and how long since it was green?
Thank you ☺️
Cheers! This is Cherry that has been seasoned for about 6 months
👍
Watching the smooth carving strokes and listening to the rain falling put me right to sleep. Really enjoyable.
Hola me gusta verte trabajar que madera utilizás
This is Prunus Serrulata (ornamental Cherry)
Carving in the rain, love it

Love the format, cheers.
One small, tiny improvement might be to zoom in on the finished spoon to see more detail at the end.
Thanks for the advice! 🙂
The rain, the skill on display….killer video and awesome work Andy
Thanks so much, brother. It certainly helps having fantastic tools made by people like yourself!

Hi, how do you sharp your axe?
Hi there! I have a collection of sharpening videos 🙂👌
You make it look easy Andy.
It's not my first rodeo!
Very nice! I also admire the birds singing in the background
