    Bought myself a pair of these a couple of weeks ago, quite enjoyable to run in, comfortable enough, light and very good for tempo runs

      @@FordyRuns I think I prefer these to the sl2, I find the lockdown on the Adidas are so lax, unless you do a runners knot they just flap out and open up on every stride. Also the laces are shockingly bad, there's barely enough length to even do a runners knot, I totally agree Adidas need to change up all their laces!

    My pair arrived early of this week and I loved it! I have severe overprinted on my lt foot and there's no Hyperion GTS version in Thailand. However, after 5km run, I think it is not that bad for overprinted runner. I cannot ware SL2 since the width of the middle of the midsole is too narrow and my lt foot fell out from the platform. Hyperion 2 has wider middle of the midsole(almost fell). And Brooks has massive discount in Thailand now. I got this pair from Brooks official store for only 36GBP.

    Took my BRAND NEW Hyperion 2 GTS out this afternoon for some recovery running! Lateral midfoot strike is far softer than the previous H1. The foam went up by 4mm and the rubber outsole under foot has been reduced 1mm and some bigger holes in said rubber add to the new flavour. Price is not amazing, but the SL2 isn't going to work for me as an enough to be a problem pronator. If you are a light weight lander this shoe is all you need for a daily, the GTS v is in its own market.

    I love the look of this shoe! Ordered it only to learn my feet are a bit too wide and my feet slip toward the midline and over the platform, so back to the store it went. Lacing is so nice though, really premium.

      Sorry to hear that

    • @wordsovsean8905
      @wordsovsean8905 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Are you saying that your foot ends up sitting on the medial/inside edge of the shoe? I have pretty average width feet and that's what my foot does in this shoe. For me, my entire foot feels like it shifts to the inside edge and when I run I feel like I'm not in the centre of the platform and I do appear to overhang the inside edge in the mid to forefoot. I don't so much feel like the shoe is too narrow as I can force my foot to the centre, but it does not want to stay there. I've done a 13km, 10km and 7km run and they might be my last because I don't think my ankles will forgive me if I keep going. I think I'll just have to sell them. I had no such problems with the Hyperion Max. I put 450km on them. I'm really disappointed because I actually think the foam and level of cushioning feels great. I don't think there's much road feel at all. I could go 20km in them for sure.

    • @DistantStorm
      @DistantStorm 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@wordsovsean8905 yes. I am a medium width but on the wider side. I have Achilles and calf injuries in my history so I decided to play it safe. Each step I took, my feet would slide to center and over the edge of the platform. Couldn't imagine running based on how walking felt.

    • @wordsovsean8905
      @wordsovsean8905 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DistantStorm Well at least you were smart enough to send them back before running in them. I thought that possibly once I'm at some sort of pace my foot may correct itself in the shoe. Why that would happen exactly, I'm not sure. You absolutely can imagine what it would be like running in them. Take your walking experience and speed it up. That's what it feels like to run in them.

    • @DistantStorm
      @DistantStorm 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@wordsovsean8905 brooks does have a 90 day policy, even if you run in them. Not sure if you bought from another running store but if they don't honor Brooks' policy, brooks should even if you exchange for another pair of Hyperion Max (which I also own and agree with you on) or something else. I compared the soles, the original Hyperion Max is wider.

    Would the GTS version be a good addition to a Saucony Tempus for tempo runs? For me the Tempus is a bit narrow in the toebox (at my left foot) and I don't know how snug the Hyperion's fit is...Stability runners blues 😢

      @@FordyRuns Agreed! The foam on this version is definitely noticeable and a great improvement from the first version. The GTS version isn't quite as fast as the Tempus for me, but I do love the feel of it. Not "bouncy" but very comfortable, grounded, and quick.

      Which has the best shock absorption for a 90kg usually around 10km runner? :)
      The Kinvara 14 is way too hard. Currently my allrounder is the Novablast 4 TR. Shouldn't be softer than that or bottom out faster i suppose.
      Noosa Tri 15 is also after 6-7km on the road too hard. I think because of the old FF midsole - the new #16 has FF Blast+.
      The Mach 6 should be very similar to the Noosa Tri 16, just a bit softer and also a bit more stack and also the 5-6mm drop.
      I seem to like less drop than 8mm or 8mm at most, because that bs forces you heel first into the ground. And due to my meniscus tear i changed from heel striking to forefoot and now I'm trying to land midfoot. So, the additional stack in the front of the shoe (mach 6 vs Noosa 16) could be better for me.
      SL2? If i have to, ok, otherwise i stay away from Adidas because they killed the Five Ten climbing shoe brand!
      Also the SL2 is not that versatile due to test, it is just good for uptempo and that's it.
      I also have a Superblast (1), which i just did a short testrun it.
      How does the Hyperion 2 and Hyperion Max 2 compare to these?
      Brooks Ghost Max (1) is on the way that i can test those. I hate the Nimbus 26 and want to replace it and sell it. Way too much slapping onto the ground and too sinky soft.

    Banging shoe. Loved the original Hyperion for faster workouts, 8-10k tempos, 5k, anything short that required faster turnover and a light shoe. Wanted to like the Max but the heel bevel didn’t work for my heel strike. The Hyperion and the Mach 6 are the best shoes out there in this category. Brooks screwed up the pricing though. It’s $200 CAD and should be not be any more than $160 in line with the kinvara 15 and Mach 6

    The Adizero SL2 is great and I liked the Hyperion Max; all on the road. I'm ~ 60 kg and I use these as my daily trainers. I've been thinking about Hyperion 2 vs. Noosa Tri 16 to pair with the SL2 and I think the Noosa Tri 16 might be better for my uses. I also have the Mach 6 but I struggle with the fit on Hokas.
