One thing I should make clear from this review is that regardless of the QC, the sculptor did an incredible job with this figure. The sculpt work is phenomenal and this is one of the best painted Figuarts I’ve ever owned. It’s just a shame the quality didn’t hold up.
100%, the sculpter very clearly put a lot of love and care into this figure and tamashii bascially threw all that hard work in the dumpster by allowing their standard to drop this low. Trunks is falling apart, zoro is falling apart, guts is falling apart, this is unacceprtable, they can't keep getting away with this. If griffith has any problems I'm gonna be knocking on their front door fr its on sight

Tamashii keeps making shit qc cause people keep freaking buying. Theres no self control in the community and these companies are well aware of it. Imagine the changes that would be made to qc if people actually boycotted the company? They dont care about their fans. But i cant really blame the fans either cause we always will want the new releases. Its keeps a lot of us truly happy to buy new figures.

Bro I feel your pain regarding tamashii's quality you are 110% correct. What's the point of putting so much work into sculpting/engineering a figure when the quality is just so atrocious.... This really really needs to be called out a lot more because it's only getting worse and it will not change unless we do something about it.

Just opened mine, broke the statchel as well, impossible install the cloth, the collar in the front pops as well, the hand holding the sword is impossible, it's really shit quality, DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM.
It really feels bad when a figure broke even when you are handling it normally. I also had one broke on me before (SHF Final Battle Iron Spider) when I just bend the elbow joint. It's a shame too since this figure looks good visually.
I was unboxing my figure and I started moving the backpack for the crossbow accessory, and just like that it broke ;( these figures have many issues (just like some figures made in Vietnam) and it´s super sad man, this figures are expensive but don´t deserve the money that we spend in it.
A tragedy that this happened, i still really do like Guts a lot, but i genuinely wish this guy didn't fold. Thanks again TFNUT for another review going through this mess, we appreciate it.
Some huge problems: 1) sword is too big and too wide… the proportion isn’t ok; 2) the figure can’t keep the sword beneath the cape, attached to his back… that’s terrible;

Unfortunately I've had some problems with my copy as well. The legs didn't explode like on yours but the back piece to hold the crossbow broke just by my moving it a bit. The hands on this guy also suck as none of his right hands can fit onto the peg. I had to stretch open the holes in the hand with a thumbtack and then they were kinda able to be put on but would still fall off easy. Super disappointing especially for the price point as this was one of my most anticipated releases this year :/
Really hate the material they used for the brown straps. The people or person who decided the type of plastic used for that clearly has no experience with poseable figures. So damn dumb. Who worked on this thing man?! The guy who sculpted it tho did amazing. Props to him

Man, so sad to see this happen to you... I have never liked Tamashii's hip design. What happened to your Guts is exactly the thing I am always afraid of when moving the legs of any figuarts. They really need to stop overdesigning their hips+legs to avoid breakage. A lot of my figuarts have arrived with problems, mostly loose/tight joints: My Power has loose elbows, my Luffy is a bobblehead if I don't put some paper inside his neck, the left leg on my Trunks fell off and I wasn't able to put it back normally so I had to fix it, SSJ4 Vegeta and Loid had loose hips... The hips are a problem almost all of the time, lol. I haven't received my Guts yet but now I'm scared.

I'm starting to suspect that crunch may be playing a factor in a lot of this years figures. If so they need to take some time and let them rest cause, it doesn't matter if you make 100 popular characters if they are all bad qc wise.
I will gladly wait a long time for figures of characters I need in my collection, as well as take less figures a year, if it means we have good quality products
literally just managed to fix mine to a degree. Used some loctite glue inside the hand and let it stand for a bit. Made the hand much tighter and had to force the ball joint in. Now it stays in there tightly but its still limp so can only be posed in certain ways. I have had not many other issues you had but the figma versions of guts are far better. Its just sad they didn't do a berserk armour version of guts. If they did I never saw it anyway. I mean for as lovely as the sculpt is simple things like no back storage for his sword or proper hand joints or even just a suitable stand for such a heavy figure really take points away. Especially as I say compare it to figmas who made the sword lighter, gave him a stand, gave him a back storage for his sword, good solid joints to handle the sword and made it so his daggers etc are properly attached to his armour. My stands don't work for him though because he is so front heavy it just wont hold him so I have to see if the official stands work better for him (really SH should give stands with the figures like figma does for the price) as mine can't even wrap around his body and tends to catch on his dagger to easily or his crossbow part on his back. I don't understand it either because I got the POWER chainsawman figure at the exact same time and she is PERFECT! they made her hammer lighter, solid joints and my stands work perfect for her. I also have some older dragon ball figures and another chainsawman figure (the sword guy) and all are solid. Though I am a bigger figma fan I still liked SH but I am concerned for the full berserk armour guts coming out now and I hope the Denji figure is just as good as the other 2. I did pre order the three zero versions of guts, griffith and skull knight though so hopefully they do a better job since I love Berserk so its sad that this had such issues. @@tfnut

Like, for SH Figuarts Jujutsu Kaisen Yuta, from what I've seen he splits at the right hip when moving his hip upward. Mine doesn't do that, but I've seen several have had. But still at that price it shouldn't of happened.
I recently received my copy of Guts and I'm desperate. How do I attach the neck armor piece without damaging the ring where the cloak is inserted? The triangular part of the neck armor piece fits but the small ball very tight. I'm afraid if damaging the ring where the cloak is inserted...
Try to get the part of the cloak as thin as possible and make sure a lot of fabric isn’t bunched up when inserting it. It’s really not designed all that well but I haven’t had a problem with this system yet.

Basically Miura made up the word to sound like a latin word which means that the way the word is written is exactly the way it sounds. Also the way japanese people say it is Be-he-ri-t-to.
Had mine delivered two weeks ago and the ankle peg was hanging on a thread so I contacted the online seller who has supposedly trying to email Tamashi Nations for a replacement. Does anyone know if its up to the seller or Tamashi Nations who should send a replacement?
Hey just a question but I noticed you heated up the hand to make the peg fit, was it small for both hands? Because I saw that you put the regular hand on the metal prosthetic hand, are the pegs the same size for both wrist joints?
I’m sorry that happened to you! To me it looks like the qc issue is in the amount of glue applied, doesn’t really look like a break to me. Looks like they just didn’t add enough glue to that joint, I could be wrong but I’ve dealt with this before and a bit of superglue should make it stronger than new!
It was a pretty clean break so it can be glued back but the problem is the separate parts form those hip pouches being placed correctly again. They really overcomplicated things with parts of this figure.

If you’re wanted the new Guts that just got announced I would try Entertainment Earth or Amazon when they get those preorders. Or enter your email to get notified on if and when it restocks on Hobby Genki or Nin-Nin Game. I was able to get this Guys because Hobby Genki emailed me the beginning of September saying it was in stock.
I hit it with some superglue inbetween filming and it holds up a bit better but still feels likes it’s gonna come undone. I’ve contacted Hobby Genki about a possible replacement

Mine is pretty bad. The joints are figma level weak. And I had the arm fall apart because of the shoulder joint split in two.

A lot of the time it’s best to ask the seller first but also there is a Bandai support website on these boxes you can try as well

The metal hand fit better than the right side. I think one of the left hands were a bit tights but nowhere near as bad as the right.

No you didnt by design when I got mine. The joints are a far cry weaker than SH Baki which they did a good job with the joints. @@tfnut

To me it looks like the qc issue is in the amount of glue applied, doesn’t really look like a break to me. Looks like they just didn’t add enough glue to that joint, I could be wrong but I’ve dealt with this before and a bit of superglue should make it stronger than new!
It was a pretty clean break so it can be glued back but the problem is the separate parts form those hip pouches being placed correctly again. They really overcomplicated things with parts of this figure.

If you’re wanted the new Guts that just got announced I would try Entertainment Earth or Amazon when they get those preorders. Or enter your email to get notified on if and when it restocks on Hobby Genki or Nin-Nin Game. I was able to get this Guys because Hobby Genki emailed me the beginning of September saying it was in stock.

I hit it with some superglue inbetween filming and it holds up a bit better but still feels likes it’s gonna come undone. I’ve contacted Hobby Genki about a possible replacement

@@tfnut they send replacement parts. If you understand the whole situation between china and japan right now you would know they’re not on good footing. Overseas workers in china are not putting in the work they used to due to their conflict with all products.

Also, what you’re telling me is that basically because China and Japan aren’t on good terms, then I’m supposed to be ok with subpar product? That’s Bandai’s problem, not mine or any other consumers.

This video is a REVIEW, meaning that I am going to highlight the pro's and cons of the product I receive, regardless of what's going on between different countries and their factories. If there's things I like about it, I'll mention them. If I have problems, I'm going to address them. If you don't see a problem with something, that's fine, but that doesn't mean there isn't a problem overall. A LOT of people have had problems with Guts, including you. Yet because you don't mind your figure being broken (which is just you gaslighting yourself) that means everyone isn't allowed to voice their frustrations? Maybe try understanding the frustrations of consumers instead of defending the billion dollar company that doesn't care about quality anymore.
