I’m one of the unfortunate ones. I tried the combination of taps so many times and in so many locations that I got Gimme Some Lovin’ by the Spencer Davis Group stuck in head. I do wish Hyundai would allow us control of our own vehicles and just make it a non warranty repair if we fuck it up.

I am intrigued to know whether you have you ever changed it back to see if any updates to your iphone and/or car has fixed the wireless Carplay. Stay safe 😍
Great to hear! I've sold the car, so unfortunately I didn't get to the dealer update. Some of the comments though say it does fix it, some say it does not. Good luck with yours!!! Love the little Picanto!!!
@@FiansMoorrees Hi, you bascily use apple car using wifi with kia picanto 2021? i have same car and iphone, and would like to use apple carplay wirelessly :D
I'd be super careful with any Factory Reset. Rather take pics of every page before you start, if factory reset dumps you into Korean menus that would suck... Unless they region flash and the default language matches your region 😅 As for wireless CarPlay and android auto, they can be a bit hard on your phone, Android Auto is frequently (2022 Kona for example) compiled to use WiFi for casting Google maps etc. to the display and bluetooth for audio streaming and calls. In my case, when in the car my phone connects to the car via BT and WiFi, and navigates with 4G/5G meaning all the radios are constantly giving it stick and the phone is working to run all the usual stuff plus casting to the head unit which is a bit processor intensive, add the car's built in wireless Qi charger to the mix and the old Samsung Note 8 gets so hot it starts down clocking to run cooler, WiFi also disconnects to run cooler, and Qi wireless charging stops because the phone is overheating. The overheating temperature is around 52°c internally or 48°c on the face of the display 😬 I'm currently working on a new non-slip plate for the car's wireless charger, basically a thin (3mm) hollow 3D printed, ventilated box coated in silicone rubber with a small ball bearing 12v blower fan to cool the phone down... because only the EV Kona has a fan below it's wireless charger (probably same "engineer" that decided on the window switches and seat frames), and also my phone is too large and blocks all the OEM Hyundai non-slip plate's vent holes 🙄 That said, disabling Qi charging and using USB charging doesn't make much positive difference to the phone's temperature issues when using Android Auto, and the phone's WiFi still occasionally shuts off. As it stands I have a 120cm 12v PC case fan mounted over the phone blowing down, and that bit of breeze works well to keep the phone cool enough (+/-12°c above ambient), but I'd have liked the option to use USB wired instead of wireless Android Auto until I can find a new phone I like 😅 first world problems.
Hello, Actually you may be on to something, overheating may actually trigger the phone to switch some components/functions in order to throttle down the performance and so to reduce the heat. What I found was that I was having frequent wireless disconnects when my carrier signal was poor and I was sometime loosing the data signal ( going through mountains and the like ) Will try to find a solution for cooling down the phone. I think I’ve got a fix after having a wireless issue with my daughters 2022 i30. I was able to get a fix via an iPhone but you need to be in your car to fix it. Go into Settings / Wi-Fi on your iPhone then start your car, wait for the Hyundai Wi-Fi name to come up under MY NETWORKS or OTHER NETWORKS (this will have minor info attributable to your car), tap on the symbol (i with circle around it) to the right of the Hyundai Wi-Fi name & toggle on Auto-Join.
