Hi Ferd, that's just the kind of repair I like. Always feels good to fix something for virtually no cost at all.. My washing machine is 36yrs old and still going strong due to my low cost efforts..lol Cheers, Simon..

Just recently had to say goodby to a washer dryer set not quite that old. Wish I still had them. New ones spy on you and send info to the government, like DNA and how big a skid mark you left in your undies. LOL Bet your handy work would make for some good videos. I'd definitely watch. Thanks my friend

@@CaptFerd Haha Ferd, that could be true when you see all the electronics packed in the controllers of modern machines.. I think the plastic outer drums are made from two sections 'welded' together ! Makes it very difficult / impossible to change inner drum bearings etc... Get 3yrs years out of it then dump it... Looking forward to more of your great videos...

Thanks for sharing your time and efforts with us. This will be a great reference If I ever have this problem. If the exhaust valve gets over heated due to an overheated engine ; there's a chance that the exhaust valv spring could loose some of its temper and tension and the spring keeper could disconnect from the valve again. If you can afford it ; this might be a good time to replace the spring when you put it back together. There is less chance of this happening with the intake valves .You might also want to put some permanent LockTite red on the outside of the guide for installing. Thanks again for your video.

Thats some very good information. Never thought of Loctite. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

Just checked out knurling. Very interesting way to fix. Thanks for sharing that.

It got hot that's why it pulled the guide. You can get guides but you have to cut to fit. If you need more info send me a message.

Now that you mentioned hot. The muffler bolts were stripped and it was flopping around on the motor. Rethreaded the holes. Bet that did it. Just worked on a honda with a blowed out muffler that locked the crank just below it. Very interested in the guides you talked about.
