BEST of Thailand: Floating Markets in Bangkok | Are Bangkok’s Floating Markets Authentic? (2024)

Today we are on a mission to explore and two of Bangkok’s floating markets, and check out how authentic they are. We will try out a variety of unique Thai dishes cooked right on the boat.
The first market we come across is the Khlom Lat Mayom Floating Market. Here we try out some really unique dishes such as Thai Seafood Omlette, Pandan Cupcakes, Longan Juice and Coconut Ice Cream.
After that we make our way to Wat Takien Floating Market. This was a fantastic authentic Bangkok floating market, with many boat vendors sellng food cooked right on the boat.
Here we tried some iconic Thai foods such as Pad Thai and Chicken Satay,
The market in fact has a temple next to it as well which it is named after (Wat Takien).
