    @PNWEnduro 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Other than being a 300 vs your 250 I think a lot of what you are describing is the power characteristics of the TPI bikes in general. They are smoother and some think tamer and kind of "boring" power but they seem to put the power to the ground more efficiently. Just wait until you get into some steep, slow gnar and you are going to be impressed.

Would you mind sharing your camera setup? Chest mount? 4:3 or 16:9? Wide lens, Superview??? Yeah I didn’t set up the sag it was way to stiff for my weight (140lb) I might re spring it as I have the clickers backed pretty far out now. It has the xcw gear box at 50t vs my xc gear box at 51t

  • @RevNecks220
    @RevNecks220 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had the exact same impression with arm fatigue on my 2021 300xcw, it took me 2 real good rides to get used to the power delivery and throttle response compared to my 2018 250, but after that you appreciate the ease of getting over obstacles and want to attack bigger and gnarlyer things 😜

  • @BrianLampright913
    @BrianLampright913 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Most of your observations are the extra torque from the larger 300 motor, same as KTM 250/300 difference. The reason the 300 feels so light is because you have a TON of crap bolted to the front end of your 250 bike and that destroys the light feeling. I avoid putting stuff on my bars, triple, fender as much as possible to maintain the light front end feeling. It doesn’t take much weight in the handlebars area to change how the bike feels. Also the question everyone wants to know is how does it compare to a KTM/Husky 300? Basically the same bikes with some different components.

    • @TrailBoundco
      @TrailBoundco  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don’t worry I got all the crap (that I use to protect the bike or fix the bike) bolted on and it still feels light and torquey. Compared to previous 300’s I’ve ridden it feels more nimble which had always driven me away from 300s

  • @andrewgraham8561
    @andrewgraham8561 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    First off awesome vid. Like the comparison with your 18 250 XC. I am looking at the GG EC300 as my next bike. Coming off a 2019 250 xc-w
    How does the seat height compare between the two bikes? What are your thoughts going from the standard gearbox on the 18 XC to the wide ratio of the GG EC300? Thoughts on brakes and clutch pull?

    • @dustieolson7513
      @dustieolson7513 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @TrailBoundco
      @TrailBoundco  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dustieolson7513 that’s interesting because seat height spec is the same for all the bikes I believe. My gf always says my xc feels lower than her xcw (both 250) I think the linkage bikes sit lower

      I am in the market for a new 300. I have heard from a dealer here that the Husky seat height is lower than the EC300 by about 1/2 inch. I wonder if it is because of the subframe. Might be important for shorter riders like myself. Also brakes seem to be better on the GG
