What guitar essentials do you take when you travel?
Not guitar-related. But definitely my Aeropress and grinder. Ain’t nobody got time for mediocre coffee while on the road.
I have a Positive Grid Spark Go, for Really light travel practice.
otherwise I would grab my 5 watt tube amp. ( after the Mods, I will clock the one meter db ... I am guessing it hits about 110db at 1 meter ... feedback on tap at that distance )
I set my guitar on the couch, for a break, 1.7 meters from the amp, and it actually took off.
@@lyricbread amen to that!
Leo, why you're using UA audio interface? Why not only FM3? FM3 it acts as audio interface? What's the issue with using FM3 as audio interface?
What struck me was that in that compact setup you have more guitar tone generating and overall recording capability than professional studios of even 20 or 10 years ago. Minus the legions of mics and amp heads and cabs of course. Mind boggling to an older guy like me, but I'm glad to see you've got it. Bound to keep the stank face active.
It's WILD hey? More than enough to get into trouble :p
So much you can do... I'm using my FM9 on its own with my computer, using it live as a backup and using it live (primarily) for effects and midi control of my JP2C. Such an amazing array of devices Fractal makes.
Not so long ago I used to take a guitar, iPad/iphone with GarageBand and positive grid apps, an old Alesis dock station + phones. Now I’m using a HXstomp, OTG adapter to plug Hx to my iPhone and about the same sort of apps. Headphones are the same ATH M50X. Very compact
My not home studio is for van camping.
Bashed up parts-caster, RC505 Looper and a few mini pedals in an old Get Smart looking brief case and a Portable JBL Bluetooth which givers me power via USB and does a surprisingly good job.
And headphones 👍👍
But did you bring the cone of silence?
iPad with JamUp, iRig connector, headphones and what ever guitar I’m feeling at the time, small easy portable 🤘🏼💀🤘🏼
Tasty!
Hi Leo, I was looking at your mobile studio. You're doing great. When I go somewhere, I don't take my guitar. Then I get bored there. But I would probably take electroacoustics and Positive grid mini on the trip. A pretty good combination too. Otherwise, another great video of yours. Have a good time and keep playing well.
Thanks mate! This definitely makes it easy
can you play 'bleed' with the theragun through the FM3 ? 🤘
can totally relate to that shoulder stuff, i feel that there should be a term for 'guitarist's shoulder' 😄 , what a thoughtful gift
an 'onlyLeon' site would be sick otherwise, hair care, massage, sauna tips and the like , i can see that working
glad to see you doing well over there
Not gonna lie, I immediately tried that after reading this :p
Theragun is LEGIT. Love those things.
Dude! Lifesaver
Is that a half smoked dart beside the coffee cup in your rooms cupboard?
4:01....a cable maybe😅
Thanx for this particular video,im working away from home at the minute and youve inspired me to go mobile 🎸👍🏻
Hahaha yeah that's a cable
Great setup mate!
Thanks! Hope all is well with you mate :)
Got the same Amazon S/PDIF to Toslink adaptor. Works great!
Tim Tams ✔
Got any Jamie Dodgers?
what is the benefit of using the audio interface in addition to the FM3, vs just using the FM3 as the interface?
The Apollo has mic preamps that I need to record my vocal mic and it makes using LUNA a lot easier
@@LeonToddSo your main DAW is Luna? I think I've seeing you using Reaper at some point?
@@basandi4017 I was on protools for a long time but I've never used reaper
loving the onions...
Personal microphone hey....😳
🤣
Hi Leon, in addition to the Stompbox Buddy switch Toppers, can you tell us where to find the transparent plexiglass protection for the top side of the FM3 ?
Good video as usual.
Knk shields
I have the same UA interface,
my fav UAD guitar amp plugins are the Chandler ltd. GAV19-T, and the Ampeg B15N
Still tweaking my travel setup, but right now it's my 1990 Strat with a Waza Air wireless headphone amp. But something like what you have is a goal. I recently picked up a Friedman IR-X, so I may incorporate that into some type of portable, quiet system.
Waza Air makes it ridiculously simple hey!
The ATH M50X is probably the one piece of gear I have used most consistently over the last decade.
Great video! Been wondering how you've been working on the go
Likewise. I actually got them in 2016 so it's going on 8 years of solid service now!
What about the vegimate mate ..looks like you forgot your shaver Leon ..lol
Never leave home without a jar under each armpit 🤣
Vegimate? Sounds like the Chinese knock off of vegimite 😂
I have that little white apple plug, so my ipod touch plays well with my boss ir2, thats the only similar thing i have....oh and i do have the lushious hair but in blonde and white😂
Man those converter cables are so annoying but so essential
Can you use the fm3 with usb into the Mac? Just need an adapter for tab c?
Yes indeed!
