Supercharged Squarebody Custom 10" Lifted Suspension Paint & Assembly - LT4 Swap Chevy K10 Ep. 4

  • The chassis of the supercharged LT4 K10 is going back together this week for its final assembly! All the components of the 10" off road lift kit are getting a fresh coat of paint. And while the squarebody chassis is all stripped down, we're giving it some extra love as well. Since this truck is sitting so high, we're making sure every dimple in the frame is smoothed out before getting a slick coat of black paint. The cab of the K10 is also getting some love as we fit up our Restomod AC system. Once we have that unit fabricated in place, we're doing some body work to the firewall before matching up that original gold paint on our custom firewall sheet metal. With the chassis final assembled, and the cab ready to be mounted, we're one giant step closer to this lifted K10 squarebody to hit the road and the trails!

    • @SalvagetoSavage
      @SalvagetoSavage  ปีที่แล้ว

      Its the same chassis paint just in different applicators. We do our best to make the video flow as smoothly as possible, but there are a few other projects happening at the shop, so a lot of the times things don't happen on the same day, or even the same week! So for the axel it made more sense to use the premixed canned paint rather than running through the process of mixing everything together for such a small surface

    🤯How does it make sense to buy a cheap gun and throw it away?
    A cheap gun is Never going to flow as good as a more expensive, well machined, well maintained 20 year old gun. Not to mention, it has paid for itself within the first year of use.
    If it's because of the time it takes to clean it get an ultrasonic cleaner.

    Skip the patina and leave the paint stock looking. Enough of the patina already.

      Just send us over a check then so we can get the entire truck sanded down and repainted so it's not all cracked and peeling!

      I drive this truck (one eerily similar, at least) and had a full paint and body work done. The paint and body work was just shy of $45k and took 9 months. The owner can get that done any time in the future, so I can see it as a reasonable option. I don't much care for patina trucks, but I guess that is why there is both chocolate and vanilla.

      I think what we are trying to say Bill is the customer wants a patina farm truck and that's what HE is paying for. We get a little annoyed with negative comments like this but were all entitled to an opinion.

      A lot of people can't see past the paint. It's sad, but that's the way it is. If they like the color blue, and the car is green, well that's it, the cars no good. Doesn't matter what else is done. They get stuck on color. These are the same people who would give up an incredible deal on a house. Just because it's not the right shade of gray. I'm not trying to poke fun at anyone. That's just the way some people are. They just can't move past certain things. We all know that certain fads in the automotive world come and go. Unfortunately, some stick around a little too long. But hey, at the end of the day as long as your customer is satisfied, that's all that matters. Nothing else.
