not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but that psa 8 electropower is a promo for playing the tcg, but that one actually has a staff stamp! so that was given to someone running the event, and personally they’re some of my favourites! the gold stamps look awesome
That $500 box really did have a lot of beautiful pulls and was actually worth the chance. The Dialga was a $40 pull, the Leafeon Alt art is $20 with two other full arts giving another $10. ETBs you wish you could get. I opened TWO of those ETBs and got the worse pulls lmao. I think it was honestly the best of the boxes. Edit: after looking it up, those japanese Charizard, Charmander and Charmeleon cards are green back topsun cards from 1995. Super old and worth actually a good amount of money in good condition. (Blue backs are worth the most, but green backs are worth a good amount!)
It is so much fun opening packs on your own, sadly at my locals if you bought a box people would come over and say I am here to help you open those, oh yeah like opening a box of packs is so difficult that you need help, One of my friends wanted to film me opening a box to put on his channel and it was ruined by others swarming me and opening packs
@@JumperBean That's what I started to do but they would block me from leaving and I would just shout to the shop owner that they wouldn't let me leave and he'd make them let me go home
You know it is a good day when pm7 posts also great work your editing skills have gotten so much better love the video and all your content keep up the great work
It brought back memories and some cool new stuff. Hope you had fun, and honestly if you go through some of that is worth it. But was a fun watch, maybe sometime you and Micheal should do a pack off.
A very cool array of mystery boxes. I love Poke-Collect and its mystery packs ( the $25 packs). I feel like you always get your money's worth, and opening the individual packs is just a fun part of the gamble that you take when opening cards in general. If you ever do another one of these videos, and are considering recommendations their VIP boxes are really cool. Also, Pokerev (TH-camr) has some really cool mystery packs as well. Love your content.
I have absolutely no knowledge of the cards other than some of them are really pretty (I love all the shine and glitter, lol), but seeing you so excited made me very excited as well :D
That last thing in the video, the Grass Chopper deck. That price tag came from military installation. That's awesome to see and it also brings back memories as a kid seeing those decks.
I'm a strict Eevee fan and I do not like how you're so lucky and you got a leafeon to Sylveon I believe I'm so jealous like oh my God so many Eevees❤❤❤❤
that last box HAD to have been a viewer or someone who researched you. No way that you got both a virizion pack and a poliwhirl theme through sheer coincidence. Still, really cool
I’m planning on a shiny ghastly or drftloon hunt. Which of the two should I start with? My game choices are switch diamond and pearl, sword and shield, and legends arceus
I dont know if theres anything guaranteed on ETBs but i have the best luck with them. Im running out of room for the extra boxes but feel guilty throwing them lol anybody have ideas what to do with them

27:31 John please read That Poliwrath with Ash on the other side. Early on in Pokémon’s history there were 3 sets of collectible cards. The TCG, promotional cards, and Movie/Anime cards (scenes from them displayed on the cards). That card you have is none of these. There was also a series of cards that acted like a Pokédex (OG 151). It simply had; The Pokemon, the Pokemon’s name, and its Dex entry. This seems to be what that card is… though I’ve never seen one that is Holographic on both sides.
I just started collecting Pokemon cards earlier this month. Could someone please explain the difference between a reverse card and a regular card (if there is a difference other than design that is)? As a newbie I feel very lost on what all the different card styles mean.
Reverse cards are the shiny versions of regular cards. They are slightly more valuable as every pack has 1/2 random reverse cards compared to around 8 regular ones. They aren't that valuable though and mostly have value only to masterset collectors (masterset is the complete set of every card in the set in every variation possible)
The fun you had was worth every dollar you spent. That's what Pokemon is all about. Getting disappointed by a product not because of value but because it just wasn't fun is the worst thing anyone can do to Pokemon cards.
Oh those red cards are Topsun cards. They were a promo with apple flavored bubble gum in Japan. Charizard is the most valuable, if the back is blue it's a first print.
I remember what it felt like opening those packs back in the day. I'm missing like 6 cards from the OG cards. One day I'd like to complete it, just to "catch them all".
PM7, the crown zenith box was crazy! That dialga card is worth 70 bucks if not graded and probably hundreds if graded! And crown zenith is the best set to open since it has the best pull rates. I've opened one before and it was crazy!
So that Charizard line with the green backs are topsun cards from 1997. They were sold as a bonus with chewing gum. A PSA 9 charizard can go for over $2,000!
Being subscribed to both you & Purplecliffe, I've noticed that you 2 upload around the same time & I dont think it's by chance cuz it has happened many times. Anyways, I dont watch card pack opening videos at all but u managed to make it a bit entertaining for me.
I'm not much of a card collector but i have a starter gift box from 1999 that was gifted to me, and it has the same art style as the theme deck you didn't open
I love your Pokemon cards I think you have more cards than me I only have a few cards and none of them are the halo cards. But I love your Stakataka card the most it looks so pretty.
Ah, a fellow collector of swirls, lol. I have quite a few nice ones. Edit: Those old decks had predetermined cards, so you can see the list of what you'd get, anyway, lol. They're the same as today's decks. That Japanese slabbed Misty's Tentacruel was a double-swirl, as well! Nice.
Don't mean to brag or anything, but when he got that venasaur snivy tag team, I remembered about my celebi venasaur rainbow tag team gx. It looks beautiful

Since it's graded 9 it's worth $18 at best.

I just started collecting Pokemon cards earlier this month. Could someone please explain the difference between a reverse card and a regular card (if there is a difference other than design that is)? As a newbie I feel very lost on what all the different card styles mean.
The design is the only difference. Anything holographic like that tends to be more expensive

They aren't that valuable though and mostly have value only to masterset collectors (masterset is the complete set of every card in the set in every variation possible)
