UPDATE: Boca Bashers put on a disgusting show when they dumped bins of trash off a boat after a wild, boozy weekend. Boca Bash isn't connected to the city of Boca Raton. Because it's on the water, it falls under the jurisdiction of the state. In this case, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is the lead agency. At this point, it's not clear what action the FWC will take, but the agency wants each person involved to do at least 500 hours of community service. Do you think this is enough?
Not enough. Send a message to all boaters who pump their human waste holding tanks into our lakes and ocean and dump their trash and oily bilge water into our oceans and hold them to the Federal and MARPOL standards penalties.
The Captain is Charlie Ruth. His parents are Chris and Lisa Ruth of Gulf Stream Florida. They own Firstlight Care Home Franchises, they are from New York! The trash dumper is Michael Kirby a Junior at Boca Raton H.S.

That should be instant jail time! The captain should have to surrender his boat for forfeiture for letting it happen. As a surfer and someone who has picked up enough trash off Atlantic and Pacific coast beaches to fill 10 dumpsters, this makes me sick and PissesMeOff to no end.

Coast Guard doesn't really handle these cases, this will fall on FWC, Coast Guard is more focused on the more serious offenses i.e. drug/human smuggling and the at sea water rescues as that's what they're mostly trained for. They leave the small level offenses that happen within inlets and/or the immediate coastline to FWC and any local Sheriff's Offices as they have overlapping jurisdictions.

I've watched probably every Boat Zone and Wavy Boat video that there is and I never wanted to see the boat take on water and sink until I saw the brazeness of those arrogant kids tossing garbage into the ocean
I agree that the idiots in this video should not be on the water. Many of them are renting the personal watercraft, and are not acting responsibly. Blame the people, not the equipment. So many of those people onboard boats were not wearing life jackets - what are they thinking in water conditions like those?!
The two teens are now charged with a third-degree felony of causing pollution, so as to harm or injure human health or welfare, animal, plant, or aquatic life or property.
What I haven't seen posted, is the fact, they knew one of the boating channels was going to video their malicious act. They reveled about what they did. Tantamount to in your face!!
Turn them over to the Feds. I understand you guys took the video of the punks throwing trash overboard. You guys are entitled to up to 50% of the fines the owner gets.
