Nicely done. So many great ideas. Thanks for taking your valuable time to make this remarkable video. 🎉😊
So kind of you to say. Thanks, Bev❣️
Apesar de não entender bem o idioma deu p aprender bastante.
Road maps would also be fun to add
Definitely! Good idea 💜
I live books, the feeling of paging through a book is something our kids are missing. By using my own old books that I have not opened or looked through for years it feels amazing to use them and change them into something i can fallin love with all over again. Even if they look different after the revamp, it still is a book with memories and energy I now can use to introduce a book and book page's with my children. Even if it is in another way. Thank you to all for giving new love to books.
How wonderful! I’m so glad you are creating with them 🙂❣️👍🏼
OMG, as soon as you initially placed the lovely copper hinge down...I was saying a loud "Yes, yes YES!!!" I LOVE your final result. Thanks for the useful commentary on your thoughts and choices for collaging.
You're welcome!! So glad you enjoyed this 😉
My daughter in law got a bunch of paperbacks from a thrift store and did an entire wall in pages overlapping here and there in her den. Came out fantastic!
I’d love to see a photo of that. That sounds like such an amazing project 👏🏼❣️🌟
I too would love to see a picture of it.
It sounds beautiful!
Soooooooo doing this!!!❤ Thank her for me!!!
I had to laugh while reading some of the comments. Such different opinions. If people don't want to destroy a book, they can still do your creative ideas with photocopies or ripped scrapbook paper. I keep buying books at Goodwill for crafting and then decide they need to sit on the shelf, so maybe I will rip my scrapbook paper for a background. Sometimes, I watch a DIY video just to relax and watch creativity at work. Other times, I am inspired to copy or to take the basic idea for my own creation. This video was inspiring. Thank you.
Yep. Exactly! I like your ideas 💙
Margarete: a good reminder for all of us. There are so many things one can do with book pages, sometimes we forget. Thank you. Carol from California
Thanks so much, Carol 😘
Margarete, you teach so well, you make it look so easy, great ideas!
Thanks so much 😊 ❣️🌟
I absolutely love the torn edge pockets! Your demonstration was perfect, thank you. 💜
So glad it was helpful ❣️
Yes please an envelope video would be great 😊
It's now out! I hope you'll check it out 😉
Thank you, Margrete! I think my favorite is the torn edged pocket. I will be trying some of these for sure!
Fabulous! I hope you love the results 👍🏼
I just watched this video for the 2nd time. I just love your teaching method. 🦋
Wonderful! I’m so glad it’s helpful❣️
Margarete, I can't throw anything away! Every bit of trash in my home has become a potential substrate! 😀
I know what you mean! You've got to start to be picky, though. Otherwise you will start to keep too many things 🙃
Another amazing fun, smart and interesting to do with books old or new is .......to READ them.
Of course! Do that, too 👏🏼
😂😂😂
I'll definitely be looking for the French dictionary! It's good to have a refresher on using old book pages and some new ways too. Thanks!
Good! I’m so glad it was useful ❣️😉👍🏼
I do believe you are my hero! I always learn from you. Thank you 👍
Awww, thanks Janie!! 😘
Thank you, Margarete. You've given me so many ways to use my old book pages decorative as well as so many other ways of decorating my page also with some doily lace or punched lace edges, using book images as my focal point and adding parts of stencils to add some color that goes with the image and so much more. I'm working on a forest journal so I will incorporate several other techniques as well. XOXOJANE
Neat!! I’m so glad you’ve got some fun ideas to play with 🙂❣️👍🏼
What is a forest journal please? Xxx
Lovely to see that old familiar New Zealand stamp in your work at 7.41. It reminded me of all the letters that needed that stamp when I was young!
I love those small flower stamps from New Zealand. There are many different kinds and they're all awesome! I have a small collection of them because I love to put them in my collages 😉❣️👍🏻
YET AGAIN, MY FAVOURITE MIXED MEDIA LADY.. thanks Margarete this was lovely to watch 🥰🥰🥰
Awww, thanks so much!! 💜
Thank you so much for sharing these great ideas for collage, always appreciated 👌❤️
You are so welcome! Thanks for stopping by 🙂❣️👍🏻
I love the idea of collage but for some reason each time I try I give up, wondering why am I doing this. That said I am having another go, you are inspiring and I so want to do this, the steps you take and the explanations as to what works (or not) is very helpful, also I think I have been over filling my page, losing my idea along the way. Thank you so much, your voice calms me when I get frustrated with myself, you are appreciated. xxx
Thanks so much for sharing your struggles, Diane. I do hope you will continue to try and will soon see real progress that encourages you. I wish you the best!
Watch Ceri the Crafter Masterboard videos.
Just make sure they are old books, but not 1st editions, or collectables.
Of course! 😉❣️👍🏻

I’m so glad you liked it! And I’m so excited for you that you are exploring old books. They’re such a great thing to work with 💜
Thank you for sharing these tips. Its easy to forget just what we can do with paper leftovers!!!!
Exactly! Sometimes a little reminder is all it takes to put those ideas to use 😉❣️👍🏻
Thank you for the ideas. I love the idea of using envelopes!
You are so welcome!
Wonderful ideas. I love the torn edge pages. One thing i like do with book pages is to use scotch tape to take the words out. I sometimes make stripes with the tape, ink all over the page, then take tree tape off. It makes blank spaces for journaling if i put it on the back of tags or journaling cards. It occurred to me watching this video that you could use that to isolate and emphasize certain words in the page. These are all fun ideas that you showed!
Cool idea, thanks for sharing!
Hmmm. I that sounds so cool! Have I seen you do this, Dorothy? Next time you do, tag me so I can see 😉❣️👍🏼
@@MargareteMiller I think i did put it in one of my videos, but i will probably do it again and will tag you!
Loved your video. It inspired me to pull out my old books and begin working. Your suggestion to stamp the blank spaces on the book page was a game changer. I wouldn’t have come up with that and it makes such a lovely addition.
Awesome!! I'm so glad you've got a new idea to play with ❣️

Envelopes yes!!!! Thanks
I’m working on it right now 😉
Your explanations are wonderful! Thank you.
Thanks so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it 🙂❣️👍🏼
Some people look at books as books and some people see books as art, some people use them as fuel to build a fire, also some people just see them as trash. There are no right or wrong, not one better than the other. They are just different perspective 😊 To me books are just simply beautiful, no matter how you use it.
I agree with you. There are so many creative ways to get use out of book pages 😉
