- Members of 5th Canadian Ranger Patrol Group (5 CPRG) were issued their C-19 rifles last week, in Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador. This video shows the classroom training on the rifle, to ensure that proper use, handling and safety are maintained.

Thanks for posting this. I would like to see more videos on the new Rangers C-19, showing it's accuracy. I am a huge Lee Enfield fan, so sad to see them being replaced. So it's fitting that they were replaced with such a nice rifle.
Thank you Canadian soldiers for your Service. Stay Strong, keep us free. Cheers and Blessings Eh!
The Canadian Rangers are not "exactly" soldiers but trained scouts who are civilians with great knowledge of their home areas.
Can you do more videos on this rifle?
The cleaning kit pouch was made in the 11th Providence.
Love the rifle, I own the the commercial version,
I want one!
C11/C12 next?
very nice rifle, why didnt they have it when i was in the canadain ranger :(
How long before we get them down here in the States? Looks like a beautiful rifle to add to anyones military collection.
It's a Tikka t3x Arctic
@@ScuddyMcScudFace These particular ones are made under license from Tikka by Colt Canada (formerly Diemaco).
When do I get mine?
question what did they do with the larger cartridge with more power. ?
.308 / 7.62 x 51, 180gn Nosler Accubond, is the issued ammo.
"Shoulder controlled" Dude what?
Nice Tikka T3x Artic. is it still in 308 or you guys got it in NATO 7mm
It is chambered for 7.62x51mm NATO, but can also work with .308
@@DeNihility Same round
C-19?
Oh My God Chaps!
it was the finnish all along! 😱
what did you guys do with the Lee Enfields? .303?
spent forever looking for an "auction".....where did it all go man? a deal to be had...
It dosen't have the provision for use of stripper clips, will they be issued with enough magazines in the case the worst happens?
should been issued with 25 round mags like p mags !
This is interesting
You will find this twice as interesting th-cam.com/video/RT0bBSseKPA/w-d-xo.html
Why give them outdated equipment?
They have special uses. It's not a combat role. They're a backwoods patrol unit that mainly needs a rifle for bear defense and occasional hunting. Also, all of the gear needs to work to -50 degrees, so bolt actions are the only reliable choice in those conditions.
Previously, they were using WW2 era Enfield rifles, so this is a major upgrade.
@@cymond ok thank you for the info that's pretty cool.
you lot should gone for a spring assist straight pull rifle instead of a turn bolt action ! faster then a turn bolt action with better reliblity then a self loader in cold climites
should of gone for a plastic stock instead of wood
Plastic stocks break when its -40 to -50. The C19 was meant to be used in those temperatures, not sure what you're used to hunting/shooting in but the C19 is mechanically simple because it gets so cold
Also the C19 is a bolt action rifle, not a self loader
@@SitInTheShayd if you read what i posted, then you would of seen that i never said that it was a self loader
@@geezerp1982
Rifles in the north need to be strong and simple. Straight pull introduces complexity and more areas for water to get in and freeze. and a plastic stock will crack at -50 whereas laminated wood does not
@@DaDaDo661 actually depends on the type of straight pull for example in the uk due to stupd communist laws our ar-15s are converted to straight pull. this type of straight pull ie rotating bolt and carrier is much more reliable then other types of straight pull . speed is important since the rangers are not a polar bear hunting club but a military force charged to stop a foreign invading force
Too expensive for what they need
Canada overpaid for this.
Congrats Canada, for spending a fortune on what essentially is a new made equivalent of a sporterized surplus rifle....
What rifle would you have chosen that can fire in -40C weather?
@@MapleBalls .300 Win Mag from Prairie Gunworks. Better rifle half the price or the CZ. contestant. Or the Tikka T3 straight from Finland for a quarter of the price. Cut out the Middleman like Colt Canada who give the same rifle marked up 4x.
Should be lucky we got any military spending at all.
@@MapleBalls TRG 300 Win Mag. Better Cheaper and made for firing in icy conditions. Problem is its Finnish made and not made in Canada.
