If there isn’t a video made I can gladly make one. I came across it while messing around with the whirlwind Spirit wall glitch.
I'm actually really happy to know about that method of getting under the map -- Eorlund Gray-Mane's chest used to be much harder to get to. Now, I can grab what he's got much easier. Hell, using this method, I can snatch all his gold, use his own gold to buy his stuff, sell his stuff back to him, then snatch all of it again and repeat the process to boost my Speech to 100.
Good job finding a new route! I was wondering out side of whiterun using the barrel trick and found this giant dip in the ground and got there that way
As far as the wall glitch goes, Instead of putting up with the nuisance of trying to sprint through the wall, just whirlwind sprint while holding a plate or kettle in front of you. Works every time.
It's just shitty merchant chests. The one in Dawnstar can be exploited and is worth doing the NPC restock glitch to farm for money. I made it to 90 smithing in around 3 hours by farming 40k, going to whiterun and crafting iron daggers and leather armor. Also using the restock glitch to do it faster, of course.
Take off your armor go to front gate, jump on barrel, keep trying to jump out of it, when you do it head left until you reach the skyforge and go between the rocks until you are underneath it a chest will be there, each time you loot it sell the useless stuff to make even more money (You already get a duplicate of the guys stuff) then wait a while. Each time you do this he gets better stuff and if you get better stuff it will just make the quality continue to go up
+Feral Insanity much faster to just use a bowl near skyforge behind companion building in corner than to run around whiterun. Also bowl glitch is extremely easy, i tried in yesterday and it took 3-5 minutes to learn it and now I can use a bowl to get past any wall I want.
Fun fact not rare chests see the game has chests under the map to store the Vendors inventory so technically you're stealing and wasting time on food you will never ever need... EVER in skyrim
TheRealSynq Shut up every decent skyrim player knows this... especially the fact you can steal Eourlands stuff from under the sky forge with a platter or glitching out of the map
There is actually a chest underneath the sky forge that you have to go around the city for but it has all kinds of metals, weapons and armour. P.S it is eorlund's inventory when you buy from him and re-spawns every 48 hours. I used this at least 50 times. If you want a description of how to get there search 'get paid to level smithing' on TH-cam. Hope this helped!
Dude thanks you so much for uploading this I found it works for the sky forge chest as well instead of having to parkour on a roof and get it 1 out of 10 tries I can just walk into the building :)
The chests are shop inventories, if you really want to glitch, you can just wait until they're restocked and do it again, and you can also get the gold you spent at their stores.
these are not rare hidden chests, these are the merchants inventories. There is another one under the skyforge, but you need to run a long way around to get there
No you don't. Hold a kettle up to the stone near the corner by the wall surrounding it....below, not at the same level. When you can see through the bottom, sprint. May take a couple tries, but still quicker than walking the long way around.
buddleiagirl ah well as a Pc player just open the console and TCL your way through any obstacle :P it's boring anyway, even without cheating I can't sell all my loot fast enough to get rid of it, if you find all 24 stones of Barenziah and finish the quest you get a bonus perk to find extra gems and you will find a lot... after getting 400k money i started decorating my floor with tons of flawless diamonds because there is not much where you can spend your money on after a certain stage in the game.....
PS3 player here. I know what you mean, I recently got around to getting all the stones and finishing that quest; finished the major quest lines a while ago. I'm just thankful that bonus isn't for finding extra heavy armor or something. Gems are light. I've got a high carry weight, but that kind of jinxes you...by the time you start seeming heavy, it takes days of playing to sell everything. The game is really getting boring now. And I wish my character had some facial expressions instead of looking dead depressed all the time.
buddleiagirl that's why i don't play on consoles ;) I played Skyrim vanilla first and had it lying around for a year or so and then i started with various mods, eg. alternative start, custom follower which made the game a whole lot more entertaining since the follower is really well made and not an OP cheater (Inigo) and so all, there is a plethora of mods out there which greatly improve the immersion of the game. I wouldn't want to play the same game over and over like console gamer are doomed to do ;)
Just did this on PS4. I had no problem with the first one, but I couldn't get to the 2nd and 3rd. The loot isn't really worth the effort, but it was pretty cool to find the chests anyways. Thanks!
All those chests are, are the Vendor's inventories. For every open vendor there is a chest somewhere near them housing their wares. It's easy to prove, just sell something to the vendor that you know they wouldn't have otherwise, then go underneath and do whatever they did to get the chest, and you will see whatever it was you sold to them.
There are about 6 more in Riften,the ragged flagon,use a plate to go through the wall just before the sign into the flagon,you will be underwater,but theres 5-7 chests with a crapload of stuff
This glitch also works on XBOX 360 as well not just PC..I tried the hidden chest under Whiterun and it worked..i also found hidden chest under the Ragged Flagon under water and that worked..u don't need any special gamer pad or anything..all glitches for XBOX 360 for this game works and u can collect the items from all hidden glitched chests.
Actually, those "treasures" are the containers of the food vendors at the Whiterun market. (This is how the merchants work. There is a chest linked to every merchant, or atleast to every one I saw. )
There's another glitch that gets you to Eorlund Grey Mane's chest. It contains a bunch of awesome armour, over 1000 gold, and it's easier to get to. Just look up 'Eorlund Grey Mane's secret chest' to see how it's done.
Well after trying this I have found out if you go after the two chest first you can technically get all three via that route vs having to make two trips through this which does make it easier

It's just a shame that the loot in the second 2 chests shows as stolen. I did get stuck under the vender by the second chest, but jumping a few times unstuck me and got me to the third. More importantly, it was an interesting vantage point to pick pocket from. Being able to practice destruction magic against city guards who can't fight back was totally worth it!

Might as well? Nah... The TCL command is can be very helpful and it isn't really cheating if you don't overuse it. But giving yourself tons of money or increasing your level just over the top. To a purist, it might be the same, but to an average player... Nah.

I know people have already said it. But there is a chest a hell of alot better under Skyforge. Just go around the outside of Whiterun when you get under. Also, they're not just hidden chests. They are the inventories of the NPC's. So, if you wait time and speak to them asking them what they have for sale, if they have money and stuff again. You can repeat for more loot.
better chest in white run (go to left side tower from looking at gate while in white run jump on barrel and jump to the broken wall try to wiggle through if it makes you stay then wall hug around to other side then go left around white run till you see a gap with no textures by wall from there go up to the second rock by the wall above it there you can go through and walk to a blacksmiths chest with weapons armor 1k+ gold and materials)
there is another secret chest in white run it is underneath the skyforge and all u have to do is when u walk into white run take a right into the little storage area there is a barrel there just jump on it jump out the window and make ur way to the forge
It's easier to use this glitch to get to the skyfprge chest. It's pretty hard to get over that wall but you can use this one to get under and instead of following the wall down the path keep going forward and you're outside of white run and just do what you do to get to the skyfprge chest.
Sooo I happened to attack a guard when I was under Whiterun, and I shouted for a Storm. Apparently, the arrows that go through grass can still do slight damage.
Well, this is probably because the chests are shop menus for anybody selling stuff. Notice the market above at the first chests? Also notice how the chests menu and the shop menu are almost identical?
When I done this I got some Dwarven Apparel and Ebony Armor, Silver Sapphire Necklace, almost 6,000 gold Elven Armor Eleven Weapons. I think to get good stuff you have to be a real high level. P.S. after you get all three of these if you stand back up instead of ducking and jump up and down over and over again you can get out instead of fast traveling
Started a new game after a big break. First time i when to skyforge it was goon. Found the smiths chest now that was fine loot 1000 gold LOTs of armor and wepons. And it was not stealing, good start for the char ;D
Much easier way to get out of the map in any city! Grab a kettle and push it against the wall u wanna go throw then walk into it. Note u have to be in first person for it to work!
So there are 4 out of bound glitch areas in one town?? 1.The roof to wall 2.The bush by a house 3.The barrel in the entrance And 4.The ground by a house -that’s the general goods store right? (So far)
they say you can only get the to the ring under the well using console commands, have you figured out how to get to it yet. Your guide has gotten me the closest I've been to getting that ring. I've been trying for two separate days about 8 hours at least 😢 I'm so close, I can feel it.
You guys wanna know the best legit chest in skyrim? Go to Widow's Watch Ruins Next to Fort Hraggstad and The Steed Stone near solitude. Once you kill the hag, you unlock the Expert level chest. This chest normally contains nearly 500 gold and if you're over level 20, you will normally find daedric items.If not, then something glass or ebony. Best legit chest in the game.

All I ran back and forth for was the money. If you save, hit the shopkeeper, and load it restocks their inventory.

Playing on legendary mod atm food is good.
dood, veggie soup fills 1 stamina per SECOND, which is all you need in order to do a power attack! Doesn't get much better than that.

You don't have to run all the way around to get to the Skyforge chests. You can plate through the rock wall.

There is one under the skyforge by the companions home. You do the same thing but make your way to the forge
Step 1: Press "~"
Step 2: Type "tcl" then press enter
Step 3: Thank the divines you don't play on console

I know people have already said it. But there is a chest a hell of alot better under Skyforge. Just go around the outside of Whiterun when you get under. Also, they're not just hidden chests. They are the inventories of the NPC's. So, if you wait time and speak to them asking them what they have for sale, if they have money and stuff again. You can repeat for more loot.

so it took 3 hours for those three chests when it takes me 30 seconds to go under the skyforge for better items. I'm intrigued
better chest in white run (go to left side tower from looking at gate while in white run jump on barrel and jump to the broken wall try to wiggle through if it makes you stay then wall hug around to other side then go left around white run till you see a gap with no textures by wall from there go up to the second rock by the wall above it there you can go through and walk to a blacksmiths chest with weapons armor 1k+ gold and materials)
there is another secret chest in white run it is underneath the skyforge and all u have to do is when u walk into white run take a right into the little storage area there is a barrel there just jump on it jump out the window and make ur way to the forge
It's easier to use this glitch to get to the skyfprge chest. It's pretty hard to get over that wall but you can use this one to get under and instead of following the wall down the path keep going forward and you're outside of white run and just do what you do to get to the skyfprge chest.

Sooo I happened to attack a guard when I was under Whiterun, and I shouted for a Storm. Apparently, the arrows that go through grass can still do slight damage.
The most complicated journey to get 100 gold and food......... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO helpful

Why not go to the sky forge chest
These chests are the shop owner's inventories. It is what they sell to you at the store.
Well, this is probably because the chests are shop menus for anybody selling stuff. Notice the market above at the first chests? Also notice how the chests menu and the shop menu are almost identical?
There's armor, weapons, gold, and everything u can buy from the skyforge guy
Just go to any shop or marketplace,type in concole ' tcl ' and do under the ground.
Works with every shop.

I was getting the eorland chest and I tried to get those three and I spent just 20 mins and by watching this I realised how it's not worth the trouble
When I done this I got some Dwarven Apparel and Ebony Armor, Silver Sapphire Necklace, almost 6,000 gold Elven Armor Eleven Weapons. I think to get good stuff you have to be a real high level. P.S. after you get all three of these if you stand back up instead of ducking and jump up and down over and over again you can get out instead of fast traveling

These are do not delete chests, its the running inventory for that vendor.

Started a new game after a big break. First time i when to skyforge it was goon. Found the smiths chest now that was fine loot 1000 gold LOTs of armor and wepons. And it was not stealing, good start for the char ;D
Every merchant has a reference chest so people don't pickpocket gold

Much easier way to get out of the map in any city! Grab a kettle and push it against the wall u wanna go throw then walk into it. Note u have to be in first person for it to work!
or use "tcl" command... There are many hidden chests and some random hidden levers under world too. For example in abandoned house in Markrath
you can get the 3 BEST "hidden chest" in under 10 min or less...Dawnstar, Whiterun (obviously not these ones) and at the Thieves Guild...
There's also one under jorrvaskr. I got to it, but only cause the game glitched out and didn't render half of that area's floor.
So there are 4 out of bound glitch areas in one town??
1.The roof to wall
2.The bush by a house
3.The barrel in the entrance
And 4.The ground by a house -that’s the general goods store right?

all vendors have a "hidden" chest that serves as their inventory.

Just go to the hidden chest under the SkyForge, it has a lot of good stuff to use and sell
they say you can only get the to the ring under the well using console commands, have you figured out how to get to it yet. Your guide has gotten me the closest I've been to getting that ring. I've been trying for two separate days about 8 hours at least 😢 I'm so close, I can feel it.
You guys wanna know the best legit chest in skyrim? Go to Widow's Watch Ruins Next to Fort Hraggstad and The Steed Stone near solitude. Once you kill the hag, you unlock the Expert level chest. This chest normally contains nearly 500 gold and if you're over level 20, you will normally find daedric items.If not, then something glass or ebony. Best legit chest in the game.
