@A Potter, I wear an N95 mask, and safety glasses then I spray the drops with lysol or any disinfectant like hydrogen peroxide, and bleach. Wait for the area to dry. You can use hepa filtered vacuum cleaner to clean the area after disinfecting.
Yes wear masks and long rubber gloves that cover up to the elbow, long sleeved shirts and long pants so the skin would not become contaminated. But you knew that 3yrs later.
I just had a piece of rat feces fall in my mouth hit my tooth and landed on my tongue.. ironically I am in the process of moving tonight because a rat infestation.. I moved in here for months ago and because we cannot get rid of the rats and the owner does not want to help. I was afraid for us to end up with the hantavirus... and wouldn't you know it tonight is the night we are packing to avoid that disease that this would happen tonight.. I emailed it Lee spit it out and rinse my mouth out with 50 50% hydrogen peroxide and water for about 15 minutes.. now I just sit and wait Prayfully nothing happens.

A rat came into my larder where i have about 500 dollars of tinned food bags of rice and boxes of noodles etc etc , the rat came into the larder through a jole going outside i never knew was there, it used to be a coal bunker. I found the rat and had pest control remove it , but there is a couple of droppings on two of the tins, should i bin the lot or is it safe to clean the food with soap and water using gloves? P.s I had a severe lung infection a fee weeks before that lasted 6 weeks so it wasnt covid...could i have caught something that is now gone? I had blood tests done recently but didnt know there was rats around, so they never checked for rat diseases and i feel fine now so im not sure if i have caught a prolonged disease but can hantavirus heal at home with antibiotivs for lung infections? A lot of questions I know sorry im just worried and also curious. I would be really grateful for any information. Also if anyone watching has information id be appreciative thank you in advance.❤❤❤

Sadly the mortality rate (How many die) of Hantavirus is 40-50% theres a 40-50% chance you will die. It usually kills within 2 months but sometimes it takes over a year before the symptoms show and youre insides start to fall out of you and youre brain starts coming out of youre ears. The first symptoms are youre chest going flat if youre a girl and youre penis shrivelling up if youre a boy.
