My Yorkie is a mouser. She sniffed out a rat in the basement and she was upstairs. I let her go to the basement and she found it behind the furnace. I put rat traps out but no luck yet.
My mice made themselves known, they literally run along the walls in plain sight. One even tried to jump on the couch with me, and he would've if I didn't smack him down.
I need help. My parents are fine with living with rats. I'm too young to move out :( Edit: They got rid of them because they understood I didn't like them. Glad to have understanding parents!
Go to a teacher, principal, or other trusted adult who’s in a position to help kids/younger people like yourself who aren’t yet old enough to make these kinds of decisions. These types of adults are probably ‘Mandated Reporters’ meaning they have agreed to always take action when they know a minor needs help. If your parents are otherwise good parents, they of course won’t separate you from them - they will most likely demand that the proper actions are taken to get rid of the rodents/ensure your safety. You are legally ENTITLED to a safe home (assuming you’re not living in an unfortunate country...) and it sounds like a scary situation that you deserve to live without; your parents likely don’t realize the risk they’re putting you in by allowing that environment to be your home. If nothing else will work, seriously, go to your fav teacher (or video call, wtv the appropriate way to contact them if still social distancing).
Be careful not to poison your rats outside if you have owls or hawks in the area. Live traps can also allow you to decide if you want to kill it or not (as some rare species of voles, shrews, and native mice will also be lured into traps), but kill traps are still better than poison. Not to mention poison also will leave dead poisonous animals all over.
Use a blood thinner to kill them. No poison is needed and it will not be enough quantity to be harmful to larger pets. You can also get dehydrate poisons that will, basically, turn them to dust. I believe, in Canada, both of these methods may be only available through commercial rodent companies
Damn! That was a good presentation! Professional, poised, good speaker, informative. Mann, I almost forgot I had a mouse in my closet he spoke so well 😂
I recently seen the biggest mouse ever, I looked around found a big stick and started to beat on it, some kids seen me and started crying, their parents got involved and now I am banned from Disneyland...
1. Identify. 2. Inspect. 3. Control. (Pick up food & water, do dishes, take out trash, caulk or "stuff it" for holes into the house. Then bait and trap daily.) 4. Prevention.
I only hear them in the walls, sometimes it sounds like they're in the floors. My house is over 107 years old. And as a result we have a lot of voids, gaps and spaces that are perfect for nesting. They wake me up every night with the scratching and gnawing. I legitimately haven't slept in weeks. I put down peppermint oil and they just move to a different area to scratch and gnaw. I'm going insane. I'm ready to start shooting my walls, or myself...
I can totally understand, it maybe time to think about using some of the bait control recommendations and products we have on our website. www.solutionsstores.com/rats-mice
Mothballs will definitely get rid of them, but u don't want the fumes coming into your house. They are toxic to people, so I can use them in the attic in the winter, when the AC isn't needed, and I have cement like drywall in my old house which is harder for fumes to penetrate. I'll do about anything now, since, as u say, the gnawing is LOUD!
You better be getting some poison out or something. I had a friend that hated to kill the rats (she was an animal lover) and she just left them alone. Guess what came next?? BLACK SNAKES!!! The snakes came to eat the rats/mice. She was over-ran with both rats AND snakes.
The exterminators are coming Wednesday. Gonna cost $1000 with tax, and they're giving me a 5 year guarantee. They won't give me the lifetime guarantee, I think it's because the age of my house.
I used a catch and release after getting tired of feeding the mice with spring traps. Honestly, they’re way more effective in my experience. I’ve never had a mis-sprung live trap.
Keith, you have a comforting voice & good advice. I’ve been thru this before but in the Fall. In dead of Winter, I see 2 playing feet from where I sleep! Lavender candle burning on floor & glue traps loaded with peanut butter. I’m going to stock up tomorrow & Landlord is putting poison. I’m in NYC, no wildlife to protect & no pets. When I had cats never saw one but I can’t care for Vet bills. Thanks so much.
I've seen people say to wear gloves, I've seen others say it doesn't matter if you wear gloves or not when handling traps. Which is it? Because I've done both and it doesn't matter, they still won't go near the traps I've set out.
I live in an 80 year old house and the only place where I've noticed mice activity is under the kitchen sink where there's a drilled hole for water lines. So far I've caught three mice with the old bait and snap method. It's actually pretty disgusting. One day I opened the cabinet door to check under the sink and "POP!!!" goes the mouse kicking and squealing with blood everywhere. So I had to scoop it out while it was paralyzed and dying slowly. I didn't know any better way to handle that besides burying the mouse and trap in the snow so it would at least freeze. I don't want to deal with that method again so I think I'll just try the repelling methods with cayenne pepper, pepper spray or something else that's nontoxic. I may have heard them in the floor vents before but it's rare when I do so it's fair to assume that I don't have an infestation. Strangely enough they once found their way onto my countertop when I left a small pouch of sunflower seeds next to the microwave. Sure enough the package was chewed up with the seeds and mouse droppings on the countertop. How they got that high up from the floor is unknown but that tells me that they're capable of reaching almost any surface in a house.
Keith, your's is a wonderful video. Full of information that was delivered professionally and honestly. Thank you. I have had a mouse problem for approximately three years. I have used every device included in your video - took care of some, not all. I feel as though I am living in an ongoing nightmare. I am on a very small pension that will not accommodate the price of a professional terminator. Seems that the only way to clear the problem is to burn the house down. Just trying to keep the topic light. Thanks, Keith for listening and for the video.
I’m on a pension too. I’m in a cellar, illegal apt. For a few years all was OK then only in Fall for a few weeks, glue traps got them. It’s now Jan 12 18 degrees this am & I see 2 playing now! I am burning a lavender candle burning & have told landlord to put poison. What you say is so true, I feel trapped!! I was thinking I wish I had a flame thrower!!!🔥Good luck to you! I’m sleeping with the lights on!
Your problem isn’t catching the rodents it’s keeping them out. This video and many if not most “professional” pest companies do not put an emphasis on or even attempt exclusion. It is 100% the only way to guarantee rodent elimination in a structure. Once you have a structure sealed. Trapping is permanent and will work quickly for mice, if your dealing with rats it can take longer since they will build food storage and eat each other when dead perpetuating thier life cycle. If rats ignore your traps, you have to train them with baited but not set traps until they feel comfortable eating from the trap, then set them. They will also mark traps with urine to warn each other it’s dangerous. You must wash or use new traps after catching rats to take away the scent. Exclusion can be a daunting task with several unseen entry points only a tiny rodent can find. Or maybe a Mobil home with skirting that rodents can dig under at any point along the perimeter which will require expensive exclusion by trenching the perimeter and attaching screen from the siding down past the soil surface ideally 12 inches then backfilling with rock. It’s important to stress exclusion because if you don’t do it properly you will just be catching rodents in vein forever. Good luck and I hope this helps.
We have rats and mice that are too large for the glue traps to be used folded into a box. I have a couple laying out flat right now against areas that I know they travel. Thank you again for this informative info - Fingers crossed that we start seeing less activity!
@@lindalinda9796 it doesn't work. Yes, mice cannot burp but they poop out a lot. I watched an utuber to use this method but I have more mice than ever. Right now I am hiring a professional to set the traps but no dead mouse yet. In addition, the job is to have all the cracks and holes sealed and fixed. 😮
I remember when I was young and my basement had mice and my dad used a glue trap and the mouse was still alive, and he told me to put it in a plastic bag and beat it to death 😂
I've been laying snap traps all over my apartment. They absolutely refuse to go near them. They drive me crazy all with their squeaking. I've switched the bait so many times. It's like they have gotten used to me and my dog.
Be sure to use gloves when placing traps and baits. Oils from our skin leave behind a scent, which can repel the mice. Let us know if you have any other questions!
@@solutionspestandlawn Thank you! I live in a apartment building. 6 floors, 96 units. I'm sure I'm not the only one. The property manager said I have to catch one before they will send a exterminator. Even though I told her they squeak all night in different frequencies. It drives me and my dog crazy. You can hear them walking in the walls. Yes they are entertaining my apartment because I found droppings on top of my refrigerator, in the corner of my kitchen, they are chewing up the carpet for nesting material and even my dog's rope toy. That I don't understand. (Them taking strings from his rope toy) I found they strings from his toy in the kitchen. His rope toy was in the middle of the living room. I will get new traps this week and set them up this weekend with gloves. They act like they are not bothered by me or my dog. They just won't show themselves or go to the traps. I will update you this weekend. Thanks!
I tried everything I read up on to get rid of the rats coming through my cupboard in my flat. The absolute only thing that worked was getting a cat and I have never heard or seen them since.
I absolutely love this & you for teaching us. I am sharing thus with everyone I know. I l7ve in a trailer on a cow dairy farm in between 2 rivers, the cows water station is at my backyard fence. Water flows down then pools up in my yard. I am now widowed living alone infested this winter with mice. I am losing my mind. I am legally blind so my vision is limited. My lack of knowledge has cost me plenty this last few months. I feel more confident now to get a handle on this mess. Thank you
All good stuff. Also installing a barn owl nest box can suppress rodent activity. The Idaho Extension has a blue print to make two nest boxes with one sheet of exterior plywood.
@Ayousha Ahmed yes I'm here cause i found a disgusting rat running around in our living room :( even though our house is organized and clean they still find ways to sneak in and i think it's mainly cause it's an old house but idk
@Ayousha Ahmed no , I'm actually from the US but our house is really old I'm guessing 80 or 90 years old :( we've lived in apartments for our whole lives and hadn't one in all of those years it's just that once we moved in a house the little bastards started appearing we even found a snake 🤢 also our house is like super super close to the woods so maybe that's the problem too
@Ayousha Ahmed our house has so many holes and gaps and it looks like from the outside , a 17th century home and from the inside a home from the 1920s I couldn't find exactly how old but they definitely are really old .. living in an old house is the worst thing ever bugs and rats think they can just live there as if they are part of the family and pay rent
Great video, but a few things need to be addressed. People need to understand a few things when utilizing rodenticides on their own. The label of the rodenticide that is being utilized needs to be read and understood to the word. The label of that rodenticide is the law. The EPA requires all manufacturers who produce rodenticides to have a label explaining the proper procedures of how to utilize that rodenticide and how to handle it also. The states usually adopt the label as their law too. There has been a lot of misapplication of rodenticides in the US. Not all rodenticides are labeled for certain rats and mice. For example, the rodenticide First Strike can be used for Norway rats and House mice, but it's not labeled for Deer mice. This needs to be understood because some states like California are trying to do away with rodenticides to a point. I can't stress enough that people need to educate themselves on this.
I got one behind the couch last night that had his arm trapped in a spring trap and tail in a glue trap. I was taken aback by how big he was. He was whimpering like a dog. In my moment of hesitation he dragged himself under the couch and peeled off both traps. I should've stepped on him. I certainly didn't want to grab him or make a bloody mess however.
I’ve never understood this catch and release type of technique. So you catch a few live rats then you drive 5 miles up the road and release them near someone else's property for them to multiple and become their problem?
One time I caught a rat just curl up laying on the floor I think it was sleep it was cute and all but it was in my house and I had to suffocated to death with the mop
@@BlueAndPINK666 I agree totally. They are clever creatures and should be dealt with humanely. I used to catch little field mice that my cat brought to me as presents with gloves and put them back outside. I see a larger mousey creature now and will get a humane trap and find him/her a new home. Also a spray of peppermint oil, eucalyptus oil and tea tree oil mixed with water will cause them to move out, but won't harm them. People keep rats and mice as pets. They are amazingly social with humans and loving. Respect that. They are all God's creatures.
I am overwhelmed. I'm a disabled senior. We have, what I have been calling field mice. The situation is pretty desperate. I haven't been able to keep my house up. (it's on older mobile home). My husband works then comes home and takes care of me. He tries to take care of the house but is also overwhelmed. We have a small dog and a blind cat. We can't use poison. We tried some herbal pouches that mice are supposed to hate. They didn't work. We don't make our expenses from month to month without help from family. So we have no money for help. We don't know what to do. We are in a losing battle. Thank you for letting me vent. Keep up your important work.
Could your local council help you? I've heard of people with pest problems being helped by schoolkids, which come and check traps on their way home from school. Is there a church nearby that could help?
they invade my garden every year. Take one bite out of a tomato. We put the pellets out in a tuna can. Every year it starts earlier. THey climb the fence. Any suggestions? Think Ill try peppermint and eucaliptus oil near the plants on cotton balls this yr
We recommend setting up bait stations with poison bait on the opposite side of your garden along the fenced perimeter. You want to deter them from getting into your food. Reach out to us on our website for more information.
We have had mouse for over a month now and we have been repeatedly using glue traps to capture them. Since then we have caught over 10. We get one everyday nearly. We don’t know what to do. I see them running around the house all the time. Please give me advice on what to do. X
Solutions Pest & Lawn you’re not in the business of torturing but you sell glue and snap traps ?? how is leaving an animal stuck in glue to starve to death not torture? Some of them will literally chew their legs off , imagine if that happened to you would you not consider it torture? rats feel pain just like you
I've have had Rats that are in my Attic I here in one area allot around 7-8 am, like there bedding down to rest or something. I wire meshed all roof vents, Stacks, Chimney but still hear them. I only seen #1 small Rat climbing up my single story Brick house wall right in the area where I hear them some mornings. I have had Trail Cameras in the area where this is all happening and see them running across my deck right by where I seen the one and hear them. I think they are getting in from between the plywood roof and fascia as there are some gaps from poor Building Cutting. I put mesh Leaf guards on top of the Gutters covering 100% of them but I still hear them. I looked all over the outside roof and siding Trim and the only access any pest can get through are through the ends of my Gutters. Can Rats climb up and down the inside of Aluminum Gutters in a single story house ? I have no clue what else to do but to cover the ends of the Gutters, any suggestions ??
Best video yet on this subject. No BS Now I know I have deer mouse Had no luck with glue traps until I left them open face with a few small pieces of pecan. AND secure them to the floor with painters tape. When that glue board doesn't move they just get stuck more and more with there every struggle
I have two mouse rats. I have been poisoning them for days with mouse bait but they are not dead yet. I can't close the voids because they are behind the kitchen cabinets. What should I do? How long does it take for the poison to work?
Thank for posting this videos , I'm working for a pest control company but I really enjoy your videos , I'm new in this business , I'm in a learning process your videos help me a lot. Thank you.
I recently had a rat problem. Put rat poison . Ate it and the house began to smell. Found a huge rat dead.. the smell returned from a different area after another day, 3 rat babies were dead inside a cupboard.. I'm really phobic of rats . I just am scared of then so much. I dunno what to do it where the entry point is . I dunno if putting more rat poison everywhere would just attract more rats from outside and make them die inside or whatnot . Need to try getting this ultra sonic sound things to deter them. Not sure if they work though
My mother's house was infested with rats ,she couldn't afford to get a exterminator. I build poison traps for her and they cleared out and some died on her floor. I used a half cement blocks with 8x8 plywood on both sides. I drilled a hole with a Hole Saw big enough for only the rats to get in,in the corner. I use one 10" Threaded Rod with nuts on both ends in to secure the plywood to the concrete block(one drill hole centered in each piece of plywood). Before connecting the 2nd nut I place 4 Just One Bite poison over the rod, then run the rod through to the other side. The poison stays centered. I made 8 of these and shared with other family members, the biggest expense is the, Farnam Just One Bite.
i saw a rat go past me in the cupboard so i know where abouts it lives now but its 1:40 am and i cant figure out on what i should do so im leaving it i dont think i have any stoppers for it so for now im waiting till the morning
Thank you ❤ our neighbours renovated their home and their rodents migrated to our house during the process. Omg never had an issue before. Sooo disgusting and scary. So thank you for sharing your experience with us.
Hi im seeing small mice maybe like one the most but i need to getting rid of it i have the d-con no view no touch round mouse trap it looks like nothing is working
If the trap you're using isn't showing you the results you want, we recommend using additional methods to get rid of your mice problems. Try using baits, bait stations, and glue traps. The more methods you try, the better results you're likely to get. Don't forget to always wear gloves when placing and setting up your bait stations. Your scent gets left behind on these products which can repel them from approaching your traps. Let us know if you have any questions.
Rats and mice are attracted to clutter, caused by stagnation, caused by fear. Stop being a pack rat. Clean the place up and move stuff around. They will nest anywhere they can, near you domicile, in that there is food and warmth. Clear it out, get organized, get off your butt, and get active!
I hear them running around my bedroom as I try to sleep and when I turn the light on I watch them run away, I stopped eating in my room and blocked off the way I saw one get in but it didn't do anything what can I do to stop them getting in my room?
They can get into small gaps in a surprising way.make sure no food is left around.make traps your self by using ideas of you tube.i made a trap when the mouse sits on a pad the circuit completes then a door slides and is held by magnets.
How do I prevent rats from dying in attic? Is is true they have to leave attic every day to find water? There is none in attic. How will you know when you have them all and want to close up an entry/exit area?
You are doing it wrong. First, never never touch the traps with bare hands...use gloves so they cant smell you. Secondly, never use cheese, use peanut butter. Third, the only snap traps that work are the cheap wood type..they are awkward to use but work,,the newer plastic ones do not.
We have a rat in our house, and no trap we’ve set or baited in different ways will catch it. It’s not interested in the regular types of bait, and it eats my bath soap bars! I’ve found them sitting in the middle of the kitchen floor several times.
We have a Lattice Orchid hut attached to the rear of our home. I watched a Roof Rat climb right up the thing and get on the roof. He gnawed a hole to get in the attic. How do I keep him from climbing on the roof "Rat Guards"?
TBH up close u can see the cuteness of a rat/mice, theyre actually cute but theyre just dirty but its not their fault thats their instinct ya know Edit:*Fixed a typo*
True... I felt bad when I would shot them with a pellet gun. But it was my last resort after capturing 100+ rodents in 2020 using glue traps, traditional spring traps, and poison... I stopped keeping count and moved out of my parent's House...
a relative has a farm with a pond and an island. The island has animals like wild geese. The pond has lots of river rats. The previous owner fed feral cats to control the rat population. The feral cats live in the barn. This is not going to be an overnight solution, but I would like to make progress and not take years.
Ok, our problem is a mower shed at the corner of our property, no food source, just some Forest. They are under the shed….how do we keep them from coming back, when I’m not sure why they are there?
I have a cat that has to be fed separately for my other cat's so I feed him in the bathroom. I went in there a couple of weeks ago and there was a rat eating out of his dish. It ran down the hallway and disappeared into my closet. The next morning I heard something squeaking in my bedroom. It went on for about 5 minutes. I got up and there was a rat in the process of dying right next to my closet. I figured that was the same one I saw in my bathroom. I was hoping he was the only one but I should have known better. The other day at opened one of my closets and there was a rat sitting there staring at me. It didn't even seem scared. I shut the door and got out of there. It looks pretty big too. Anyway I'm in the process of trying to figure out how I'm going to get rid of them. I have four cats and a dog, but even they won't mess with the rats. I noticed on the video it shows a Humane mouse trap. Are there any Humane rat traps? Also if I catch them in a Humane trap, where do I set them free? Thanks .
@@MTB214 best way to get rid of them is use mace/pepper spray in areas where they come in or hang out. it will get rid of them and last for months....spraying under or around the building will work too unless it rains.....its pretty much foolproof if you do it right.

we got one small roof rat in our attic once...it chewed a tiny hole in each of four plastic bags used to store enough strung popcorn for two large trees. Ate it all string and everything and also ate a few ornaments made of shaved dried mushrooms..he must have thought he found a holiday feast lol..I heard him?her? first but when I saw it going into a space where a brick was missing two glue traps right where he jumped down said he wouldn't be coming back to the feast. Fixed the brick then strung more popcorn which I now keep in a big metal tin. Now when I reach for decorations I don't have to say, "oh, Rats!" lol
There's a massive rat problem on the estate where I am About a week ago a heard what a thought was scuttling and shredding in the wall behind my toilet a set up traps under the sink and in the attic and got a plug in repellent A havent heard anything for 3 days but it's still making me paranoid Does this mean its gone a only ever heard it at a night time
They may be gone, or they may have relocated to another spot. There is a good possibility that they may have taken to the bait and repellent, but it's hard to say without proper inspection.
will psyops works for mice? I'm thinking instead of discrading the remain , what if I choped out their head and stuff it on the enterance of the hole? I have caught several mice in the house and found the hole near piping outside my house.
Something my exterminator suggested is leave food on the un-set rat traps for a few days to get the rats interested band comfortable. Then set them with food after a few days. They'll fall for it in no time.
I've got a 12 pack of glue traps and 2 no kill box traps. After 2 weeks I haven't caught one but I see tons of new poop. Baited with peanut butter, bread, sunflower seeds, banana, raisins, honey, and store bought bait, NOTHING works!
Some houses are built to have holes… between the walls it’s a perfect place for small rodents … and it’s impossible to get behind the drywall 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ It is a nightmare in the winter…even if you don’t have anything edible. True story: One morning, I needed to piss really badly cuz I spent all night gaming. While I was about to pass the kitchen in order to get into the toilet, I heard rustling coming from the edge of the kitchen. What if rats are in an outside wall and are not making entry into the home. Should I still seal up the hole they are getting in from? Seems if I did that would trap them the wall or force them to chew a new way out.

If nothing else will work, seriously, go to your fav teacher (or video call, wtv the appropriate way to contact them if still social distancing).
I pray you ask someone for help.
Lilboh Beat My parents from Bangladesh so it’s normal for them. They good people, but different culture. The rats are all dead btw!
im gonna say this in a nice way. if there's still mice there ur parents are annoying.
Anon Rahman That’s even worse! A health hazard!
The green blocks contain a neurological pesticide that doesn't move up in the food chain.
@@GardenerEarthGuy I doubt that to be true.
It's blood thinner. The rat doesn't eat enough to kill two.
Use a blood thinner to kill them. No poison is needed and it will not be enough quantity to be harmful to larger pets. You can also get dehydrate poisons that will, basically, turn them to dust. I believe, in Canada, both of these methods may be only available through commercial rodent companies

1. Identify. 2. Inspect. 3.

I’ve never had a mis-sprung live trap.
how to get rit of timites inside wadrobe
Keith, you have a comforting voice & good advice. I’ve been thru this before but in the Fall. In dead of Winter, I see 2 playing feet from where I sleep! Lavender candle burning on floor & glue traps loaded with peanut butter. I’m going to stock up tomorrow & Landlord is putting poison. I’m in NYC, no wildlife to protect & no pets. When I had cats never saw one but I can’t care for Vet bills. Thanks so much.
I've been using the Tomcat bait blocks to get rid of them, but suddenly now they've gotten wise to them and are now staying away from them.
They jump very well.
Thank you for your feedback.
Try cornmeal, baking soda, sugar, mix w enough water 2 form balls, equal parts of soda & cornmeal, nt 2 much sugar, good luck!
I feel your pain.
We have rats and mice that are too large for the glue traps to be used folded into a box. I have a couple laying out flat right now against areas that I know they travel. Thank you again for this informative info - Fingers crossed that we start seeing less activity!

Very informative video. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Funny thing is, 5mins into watching this video, the sound of little mice feet behind me suddenly silenced up.
They know you're planning something.

Let us know if you have any questions.
try using chocolate (like Hershey kisses) as bait they LOVE chocolate more than cheese lol
Rats and mice are attracted to clutter, caused by stagnation, caused by fear. Stop being a pack rat. Clean the place up and move stuff around. They will nest anywhere they can, near you domicile, in that there is food and warmth. Clear it out, get organized, get off your butt, and get active!

@@MTB214 best way to get rid of them is use mace/pepper spray in areas where they come in or hang out. it will get rid of them and last for months....spraying under or around the building will work too unless it rains.....its pretty much foolproof if you do it right.
@@chadhaire1711 I've done something like that spraying an organic pest control product which they hate the smell. It bothered me even when wearing a mask.
@@MTB214 mace works better
we got one small roof rat in our attic once...it chewed a tiny hole in each of four plastic bags used to store enough strung popcorn for two large trees.
There's a massive rat problem on the estate where I am
About a week ago a heard what a thought was scuttling and shredding in the wall behind my toilet a set up traps under the sink and in the attic and got a plug in repellent
A havent heard anything for 3 days but it's still making me paranoid
Does this mean its gone a only ever heard it at a night time
They may be gone, or they may have relocated to another spot. There is a good possibility that they may have taken to the bait and repellent, but it's hard to say without proper inspection.
Good video. I'm trying to find a mice in my room but I don't know where it nest. I wish I knew the perfect food for luring them to traps.
Try using bacon, peanut butter, or chocolate syrup. If you have any other questions please give us a call at 800-479-6583
Peanut butter gets them every time!
How do you trap them with peanut butter? Please explain
milk chocolate works
will psyops works for mice? I'm thinking instead of discrading the remain , what if I choped out their head and stuff it on the enterance of the hole?
I have caught several mice in the house and found the hole near piping outside my house.
Something my exterminator suggested is leave food on the un-set rat traps for a few days to get the rats interested band comfortable. Then set them with food after a few days. They'll fall for it in no time.
We recommend using peanut butter to coerce them out.
@@solutionspestandlawn I used peanut butter on my traps and they ate it and never set off the trap
When you catch and release where do you release them?
I'm glad I watched this video cuz of mouse broke into my house
Best way to get rid of invasive rats is classic snap traps with Bait Cage kit for rat traps available on amazon. Works EVERY TIME!
I've got a 12 pack of glue traps and 2 no kill box traps. After 2 weeks I haven't caught one but I see tons of new poop. Baited with peanut butter, bread, sunflower seeds, banana, raisins, honey, and store bought bait, NOTHING works!
Try putting some cooked meat on it just a small piece
what was the end result?
@@nxh1399 simple old mouse traps worked best. Peanut butter works OK. So do pretzels
Some houses are built to have holes… between the walls it’s a perfect place for small rodents … and it’s impossible to get behind the drywall 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
It is a nightmare in the winter…even if you don’t have anything edible.
I like the cute old farmer/ rancher guy’s solution:
Plastic containers, small hole,
Dollar store Jiffy muffin mix with baking soda mix - few dollars- and the pests are dead!
Interestingly this simple, affordable solution was not mentioned here, by this nice guy.
But thank you for his thorough advice!

Interesting, may have to read up on that

Q
I have been having a mice problem. They like coming into my apt. When it is cold out.
True story:
One morning, I needed to piss really badly cuz I spent all night gaming.
While I was about to pass the kitchen in order to get into the toilet, I heard rustling coming from the edge of the kitchen. My heart started beating fast, thinking it was some kind of animal (this was at 5 in the morning btw).
When I finally got the courage to take a look I was almost scared to death.
3 big ass mother fucking mice on the counter top and another on the floor.
My instincts told me to flee and I’m happy that I did. I ended up pissing outside in the end😔
What if rats are in an outside wall and are not making entry into the home. Should I still seal up the hole they are getting in from? Seems if I did that would trap them the wall or force them to chew a new way out.
use mace/pepper spray...will never come back...
