Anna, you are absolutely one of the most generous TH-cam tutors out there.💗 For those of us who can't commit to Patreon at this time, you never skimp or rush or make us feel that we are somehow less worthy of receiving your beautiful instruction. Thank you SO much for the beauty you bring into being and for so kindly sharing your expertise.💗💕
I agree wholeheartedly with your comment. She is a delightful lady and a fantastic teacher. I enjoy her channel and she has a calming effect that is lovely.
Thank you so much for your message Nancy! 💕 I am doing my best to find the right balance between free videos while also providing extra content to those who can support my channel. At the end of the day most of it is going back to the channel as I am constantly upgrading my equipment to be able to deliver better quality videos for all of you! I am extremely grateful to you and everyone who supports my efforts - on and off PATREON 😊 Without you watching this channel wouldn’t exist 🌸
As a beginner, I am fascinated by color theory but still have a difficult time grasping the entire concept. I very much appreciate the time you give us along with all the tips and tricks you have up your experienced sleeve. I always look forward to your next project as I find you fascinating!!.❤
Thank you Consuelo! It's a big topic and I will like I am discovering more every day. Glad the tips were helpful - I am happy to share what works for me and things that I learn organically by testing and trying different combinations, trying to relate them to the basic concepts of color theory. 💗 Have a wonderful day and thank you for watching!
Very complete explanation accompanied by a beautiful demonstration! It's interesting how the cool blue dragonfly draws my eye first despite the warmer pink flowers. I think it may be because the flowers are painted in relatively cooler shades of red and thus closer to blue on the color wheel.
Thank you I did!!!! 💗 It's been on the back of my mind since I asked this question here on TH-cam and I am getting more confidence planning an actual book,, thinking through the format etc. I think I will do a book on Birthday Month Flowers - with color schemes and tips. I've researched the publishers and have a few options... THis will take some time as I am suuuuper limited with my work hours but I think the first step would be finishing 2-3 more Birthday Flowers in addition to the sweet pea....then doing a mock up of 2-3 page spreads and then shopping around to publishers. Alternatively I can go with a self - publish route :) It will all happen organically - I have faith - largely thanks to the amazing supporters like you! I don't know why I just typed up my entire thinking process here for the first time...sorry for the long post! Yeah... these my thoughts and plans:))))) xoxo ps: it means a lot just reading your question - if there is interest in seeing this come to life I will find time to make it happen 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
@@AnnaBucciarelliThank you for giving us something more to look forward to. Really looking forward to you bringing it to the 'front' of your mind. Of course, there is an interest ! (My b-day month is the rose. Feel free to name that work after me 😘) I'm ordering 3 signed copies !!! 🥰❤️❤️
Wow! Thank you for sharing this information! I have been struggling with composition and color placement in my art. The way you explained this helped me understand more clearly. Thank you so much for all the details you share and for all the inspiration! You are so talented and your work is absolutely stunning!

Hello, Anna. I really love your paintings, your painting are with a nice texture, step-by step explaination is very helpful for beginners and to all artist.. I really thank you for showing your texture on your painting.. From Charvi.
Thank you so much for this instructional video! I find the theory of color fascinating but I still struggle to apply it. So, this is much appreciated! Love seeing your work and always look forward to your new videos!
Thank you Linda! so true - its a fascinating thing that goes beyond art, I've sometimes read purely scientific posts to better understand how the wavelengths work and why it all makes sense as a system. Still struggle sometimes to reconcile the relationship between values, vibrancy, perception of depth and all this temperature theory {particularly around the red colors, and some more fluorescent hues i find it to be tricky} but I enjoy the discovery process and hope with these videos to relay the joy of this discovery and learning. Have a wonderful day! 💗
I paint in many different mediums and now I am learning watercolor. Painting in watercolor is complete opposite of what I am used to. I found your channel today and WOW your an amazing artist and teacher. I'm going to check out your Patrion today. I feel as though I can learn a lot from you. Thank You for your content.
This is such a fabulous painting! Thank you for sharing about color theory... I'm absorbing a little at a time. Also appreciate the links... I try to buy when watching all my artists. Love Aqua Green WN... and Quinacridone Coral DS... Even though I'm not at this level, I learn a lot from hearing you explain and paint! Thank you Anna!!! A California Gramma ❤️
Thank you Ann 😊 Coral was one of my early discoveries when I started getting into watercolors and I find it indispensable to this day as I do so many botanicals. Works for skin tones as well :) Aqua Green is a much more recent find, more muted and I’ve gradually came to use over my previous favourite Phthalo turquoise. It’s much more natural and you will find it so useful for marine scenes too 😊 Have a wonderful day!
You too, dear Anna!!! I know some artists think we should be mixing our colors to make all these lovely colors... glad I went with my heart and bought the "convenience" colors, as "they" call them! ❤️
You do amazing work and I'm so glad we have the same thing in common as I can get crazy with doing details, and I have to yell at myself and say- "step away from the drawing/painting!!" 😆🤗💖🧑🎨 Oh yeah- thanks for keeping me company while eating my breakfast! 🥣☕😄🌹
@@AnnaBucciarelli I can get really crazy when I'm doing graphite drawings, especially the wall mural I need to finish which I won't tell you how long ago I started it 😳🙄- God bless you and greetings from NYC! 😄🤗🗽🕊️🌹
Thank you so much. So helpful. Never heard of it like this!. Just one question. Will this work also when choosing yellow or orange for the main color?😊
Definitely! Yellows and oranges work the same, for example lemon yellow is cool, while cadmium’s and Hansa’s are warm and so on. The only nuance to keep in mind is that yellows always look light in terms of value and in general look quite “bright” and closer to the viewer so you need to balance the value and temperature concepts which makes them trickier than say blues or greens. Experimentation is key! Try different combos 😊 Enjoy! 💕
