I never liked how the writers did this Paris thing in connection to co-parenting. Yes, I know Paris was never serious, as it was just a ploy to reunite Ross&Rachel in a grand, romantic, cliffhanger manner, but Rachel literally just decided that she is going to Paris taking Emma with her, as she was a single mother, and as if Ross didn't exist! Sorry but he was the father who literally was co-parenting with her and loved Emma, and she just threw this news at him not consulting him before at all, and if you share custody, you can't do that!! She literally just decided, without Ross, the father - who loved Emma more than his life - to take his daughter away to another continent. Did she really expect Ross to catch a plane from the US to Paris every week, to only see his daughter for like, one day?! How much money it would cost anyway, Ross wasn't that rich, and still, Ross would only see Emma for like, a day, so he wouldn't really raise her at all!! It was ridiculous, terrible, and selfish on Rachel's part. So this part I absolutely hated. I still don't understand what the writers were thinking about this! I know they knew from the get-go she is gonna stay, and again - Paris was just a trope to have a romantic, emotional cliffhanger at the airport, but still, it was stupid. You can't take away a child from a father who is co-parent, to another continent if you didn't even talk to him first!
All Ross would have to do is take her to court and any reasonable judge would have told Rachel she is free to leave but the child has to stay. She essentially would have had to pick between her job and her child...unless Ross agreed to let her take Emma away from him.
As ridiculous, terrible, and selfish as it seems that's how real life works sadly. Mothers can do almost anything. The court will always be on their side. Ross had no choice but to obey. Very realistic moment of the show.
I mean the writers wanted this special, emotional moment between Ross and Rachel so they wrote this strange Rachel behavior when she didn't come to Ross but... then if he didn't say smth??
@@Pinkgalaxy0 She literally didn't do anything to earn that career opportunity, it was given on a silver platter, once again, by a guy she only knows because he wanted to bang her originally. Also, she was gonna abandon her newborn baby and eventually take her way from her father, Rachel also doesn't even know how to speak French, has TERRIBLE work ethics (but I mean, pretty much everyone else in the main cast has) and she's a huge gossiper. So, yeah, if you wanted to paint Rachel in a good light, well, that was your first mistake.
I think we can all agree Joey handled it the best…….
That WHAT is hilarious
no.
Agreed !🤣
I thought Chandler never cried 😂
But they opened the flood gate previously in that episode When Chandler Can't Cry.
He's cried plenty of times in the earlier seasons. That whole episode is a giant plot hole
The writers kinda just made that up for a single episode. Its literally not consistent anywhere else in the series.
They opened his gate
How sarcastic can Chandler bing be real or extremely 😊😅❤
Imagine doing all that and ended up not going haha
What makes Phoebe's comment even funnier is she married a French guy in real life haha

If I remember correctly, her company will pay for any expenses for Ross to travel back and forth.
@@MrGenexxxit's whoever get the custody but ok play the victim
In one season Chandler can't cry, in another he cries at every little thing.
Cool consistency.
To be fair, the end of the episode that established that had him now sobbing at everything.
Did you watch the episode about him not crying?
Whaaaat?😂😂
Me during trade school 😂 2:08
I thought Chandler couldn't cry
He opened the gate 😂
hahaha . how fun is that .. hilarious
I thought Chandler was dead inside.
Where was her daughter in all this?

Man, Rachel was the absolute worst in that final season.
How exactly? She literally gave up the greatest opportunity of her career just to be w Ross, and she got off the plane for her friends
