I love the fact that it was Phoebe who took Ross to the airport!! Phoebe was the captain of the Roschel ship from the very beginning!! Rachel, deep down, knew already, for the longest time, she wanted to reunite with Ross and to have her family complete with him and Emma, she was just afraid to ruin it again, just as Ross was. And it was clear a few episodes prior to the last episode in season 10, for example, when Rachel said to Ross that it is 'never off the table' with them. In the end, it was Friends' writers story, and Rachel's one, true dream was having her family complete. She also still had her dream job in New York, too. And especially during the beginning of the millennium, so at the time of season 10, New York was the world's fashion capital even more than old Paris - the market in New York is much larger, and also, the opportunities are there all the time, especially for someone as experienced as Rachel. The difference is, after their reunion, Ross, Rachel & Emma can all do this together. But Rachel also stayed because all of her family and friends were there... she would never really leave Monica! I'm sure Ross and Rachel's kids were raised together with Monica and Chandler's kids!! They should make a sequel with just the Friends' kids!
As great as it is that Phoebe was the captain of the Roschel ship, it always infuriated me how she was a die hard shipper of Ross and Rachel but absolutely despised Monica and Chandler’s relationship to the point where it seemed like she was repeatedly trying to break them up
One of the best endings in TV history. Phenomenal acting by Jennifer and David 👏🏼👏🏼.

And if Ross didn't react and go to Rachel, she would just left ? Rachel only said those things because Ross went after her. I know it was just a writing trick to romantically reunite them in an emotional way, but still.

The whole Paris thing and chasing each other again at the airport was of course the way to write the emotional, thrilling episode and to later reunite Ross and Rachel in a grand way, so Paris was never realistic option, but from Ross' perspective, I see how this was upsetting. If he didn't say anything then what? Also, it was so stupid how the writers didn't even write a scene with Ross and Rachel discussing how they will resolve co-parenting problem, with Emma and Rachel in Paris, and Ross in The US.
Again, this is why Paris was never realistic anyway, but for the sake of an argument, what was Rachel thinking? That she will just take Emma to Paris, when Ross was her father and co-parent, and so Ross was supposed to fly to Paris every week, to see his daughter for like, a day or two? First, it would cost ridiculous money every week, to make this trip, plus Ross was teaching at New York university by then, he got tenure, so he wouldn't have time for more than a visit during the weekend, and the flight is long, so he would literally saw his child for like a few hours. Again, this is why it was stupid that the writers wrote it like that, this whole plot made Rachel again look very selfish. And Ross was co-parent, so in this case, one parent when sharing the custody of a child with the other parent, can't simply take the child out of the country without some kind of a deal. We should at least see one scene when Rachel and Ross discuss this issue. And we didn't see it, so I didn't like this part but, of course, Paris was just a ploy to reunite Roschel in a grand way, and she would never leave anyway and she wouldn't leave Monica also, but this is why it wasn't all perfect writing. But i'm glad Ross and Rachel reconciled at last. Too bad the writers made it way more complicated that it needed to be, they just wasted amazing Jen and David chemistry on years of stupid conflict.
I love how the end of this episode perfectly sums up the relationship between Ross and Rachel: miscommunication, pride, passion, yelling instead of talking, everything is here.

I sort of hated how Rachel got mad at Ross' reaction later. It was always about mind games and him being expected to understand her, which shows that they never completely escaped their toxicity. Like Ross said, it needed to be PLICIT.

I love that Ross and Rachel got to end up together but at the same time im kinda sorry Rachel didn't get to go to Paris, she was clearly really excited about it. Id love if Ross could have gone with her but of course he had to stay near Ben.
I just hope she got another good new job in New York rather than just going back to Ralph Lauren. I mean she literally said she had gotten pretty much everything out of that job that she possibly could.

Plus in addition of Paris not being realistic, New York was always modern fashion capital with way more options, and Rachel was experienced, and had Raphl Lauren job anyway.

Ross's reaction makes sense since because of the history they had, they should have said goodbye more, communicated better, that Rachel stopped waiting for Ross to guess her movements and that they became more complicated than they should have when it could be resolved more easily.
