the problem: they didn't even show Rachel and Ross resolving this co-parenting thing, they just showed how Rachel dropped this news on Ross - she already made a decision - like a bomb, and Ross was visibly in shock! So she just decided without him, without the father of her child! Yes, it was her career, and yes, the Paris thing was just a ploy to reunite them, but still, the writing of this didn't make sense. Ross was co-parenting, you can't just decide to take his child away to another continent without asking him! In the US when one parent takes a child outside of the state without the knowledge of the other parent, it can be considered a kidnapping right away!! So imagine the other continent! Yes, in the end, Ross got the news but this was AFTER she already decided, so she decided without him, without asking what will happen with them co-parenting Emma! Absurd.
Well, she did inform him about moving to Paris along with Emma. What she didn't do is to make sure he's also ok and agrees to her decision. Definitely bad part on Rachel's character.
@@ShubhamMishra-ed7mb This is exactly what this commenter and me/ we, are saying: she literally just dropped the news but never asked him before what they will do, as Emma was also his child, and he was a co-parent. Did she really expect Ross to catch a plane from the US to Paris every week, to only see his daughter for like, one day?! How much money it would cost anyway, Ross wasn't that rich, and still, Ross would only see Emma for like, a day, so he wouldn't really raise Emma at all!! It was ridiculous, terrible, and selfish on Rachel's part. So this part I absolutely hated. I still don't understand what the writers were thinking about this! I know they knew from the get-go she is gonna stay, and again - Paris was just a trope to have a romantic, emotional cliffhanger at the airport, but still, it was stupid. You can't decide to take away a child from a father who is co-parent, to another continent if you didn't even talk to him first!
What a nightmare it would’ve been for Ross if he hadn’t swallowed his pride and told Rachel that he still loves her… spending a lot of money to see your daughter once or twice a week max and every time he goes to Paris he may learn that Rachel met some random French dude who’s spending more time with his daughter than himself. And on top of that there are actually "fans" of the show who are disappointed that Rachel chose Ross over a job.
@@JordanKerr25or7 that's because Ross himself seemed to not mind about her going to Paris he was not once worried about Emma it seems like he also did forget about Ben after Emma was born it's not like Ross seemed to be a caring parent especially after Emma's birth. And he was worried about Rachel going far not because both of them were.
Ross was sweet here & and I 100% understand how he felt. I was waiting for their reunion for 7 damn years but I never liked how the writers did this Paris thing. Rachel literally just decided that she is going to Paris taking Emma with her, as she was a single mother, and as if Ross didn't exist! She literally just decided, without Ross, the father - who loved Emma more than his life - to take his daughter away to another continent. Yes, I know Paris was never a real possibility for Rachel as the writers did this as a classic trope to have the grand, romantic reunion of Ross&Rachel at the end, but they still wrote it in an awful way. Yaaay 😂
I'm pretty sure he said Rachel Greens instead of Rachel Green at 0:14.
not Greens, it's Green's
@@3Xorcist_17 oh, as in Green's friend. Thanks.
