    I´m an ENTJ, my husband is an ENFJ and he is the only person who can make me change my mind in a rational non-combative way. He also acts as a "translator" between other people so I can understand how feelings work. Definitely the best match for me. BTW he made the first move because I couldn´t read his intentions and had to blatantly tell me to date him, his arguments were convincing and we got married. Best decision ever :)

    I can often become the more quiet one but I know that when I feel good I am definitely a pretty typical ENFJ. Its easy to sometimes confuse insecurity and anxiety in social situations as being an introvert at least in my opinion. But I know that I get so much energy from being social and I do crave it a lot. Ive learned to not take up space especially in group settings (because of my childhood) but when I feel confident I do gravitate towards a leader role. Not the kinda leader that decides everything, but one that really focuses on encouraging everyone in the group, taking initiative if needed and just making sure there is some kinda plan or structure. Ik pretty abstract but I hope whoever might read this kinda understands anyways heh

    • @gardenjoy5223
      @gardenjoy5223 2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Totally got you. Think you worded this just fine. To me you display practicality: your encouragement helps people put their best foot forward. You show the way by doing, so it helps people tag along and you are goal oriented and able to see which steps need to be made towards that goal, so people are not just happily busy, but happily and effectively busy.
      I'm an ENFJ myself and have quite a bit of the I of introversion in me as well, as I'm close to the middle of the scale on that aspect. I see it as an additional strength, where I can literally choose which role to take up and when to do that. Seems you have the same ability. The more you get to know yourself, the more space you'll dare to take and it will benefit all.

    • @enmanniska5751
      @enmanniska5751 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@gardenjoy5223 Yeah I love the way you described that as it’s so accurate. I think you were right about being more in the middle of extroverted and introverted and having this ability to choose what fits the situation. It’s definitely a strength! It’s crazy how much can change in such a short period of time. I already feel way more confident than when I first wrote that comment. Idk if you’ll read this but thank you for leaving that response (: feels good to be understood as enfjs aren’t really the most common type. And yeah I just hope you’re doing well and continue to do that, and if you’re not doing well, I hope things will soon get better💛

      Yeah, when I'm in a good mood I cheer people up and the environment is way better. However, if I'm not I can change the environment too, but not in a good way. I usually get sad because my classmates are too focused on themselves that don't even talk to me. I miss my friends (they're far from where I live)!!
      I LOVE being with people! Spending time with my friends recharges my energies, but since people in my city are too cold and distrustful (pretty much like ISTJs) is very hard to find someone chilly.
      Have a good day!

    As an INFP, i absolutely adore ENFJs, and even wish that i was one. Life just seems, not easier, but rather much more manageable for an ENFJ. To me, they strike a perfect balance between outgoing and introspective, serious and playful, socially-aware and self-aware. Of course, there are unhealthy versions of all types, but i just think that ENFJs have the greatest capacity for balance.
    But then again, this is so typically INFP, to wish to be someone else instead of appreciating and honing my own strengths. I shall work on that right away 😅

      Or maybe that was the intention of ENFJs that you know (most of us). To show you and the others that we live in that kind of world. We love to keep the harmony in social groups, but we (again, most of us I think) have a hard time finding the perfect balance within ourselves. We just don't show that because, well, many reasons. 🤗 F and J don't go well together unless very healthy and mature.

    The fact that we're so good at reading people is both a blessing a curse, though...when something is off, it doesn't matter how much we want to believe in the contrary and try to "stay positive": Fe + Ni combo would spot a lie kilometers and kilometers far away...people may say something with words, but their eyes, voice, gestures, and general vibes will inevitably betray them in front of us. And once that interpersonal harmony is threatened, we rely on our opponent Fi in defense of our dominant Fe, starting to take everything personally, and saying phrases like: "How could you do this to me after all I've done for you?", and here's when the lecture starts and we talk, talk, and talk...typical of all the personality types who have an extroverted judging function in the first place of their cognitive stuck, I guess. Fe and Te might prioritize or care about different things, but they're just as fast at expressing disappointment and complaining lol

I'm an ENFJ-A so I can assert myself and be confrontational if needed but I try to make that my absolute last resort because I hate doing it. It goes against the harmony I'm trying to create. My best friend said it is nice and annoying. When he gets upset, I absorb it, so after he calms down, I’m still bothered by it. 😖

      I find if I keep spinning them back to mercy and thankfulness with my own words they become less and less negative. But your right, I am in shock when people always assume ill-intent and want to do harm. And I recently listened to someone who was negative for 4 hours just letting them talk and it's taking days to recover. That said, they shifted their whole mindset on the situation, but I truly gave too much.

    I can't for the life of me figure out if I'm an ENFJ or an INFJ. Both descriptions seem to fit different moods I get equally well.
    When I first discovered MBTI I got ENFJ. Then I got serious with the theory and was convinced for years I was an INFJ. But recently I have been around lots of people for long stretches of time which had a hugely positive effect on my mental health and now I can't bear being alone anymore. I was never the solitary type but we're talking a risk of serious depression here. So is my auxiliary Fe just hooked now after having been neglected for years because of pressure on tertiary Ti? Or am I just an ENFJ whose dominant Fe has reached a new level of living?

      Dude, I know I may have posted this very late, but! I personally have a life hack that can help you a lot, as well as other readers. I will describe it briefly but clearly.
      First, get acquainted with ALL cognitive functions from the beginning, study the 4 main ones and observe yourself. Make sure that by dancing to music and talking to people you get an extra boost of energy (For example). AND THEN, learn the 4 sides of the mind based on your personality type. Personally, I recommend finding CS Joseph's video on TH-cam "INFJ and ENFJ differences".
      This is an extremely interesting topic. And then, when you become familiar with this scheme and understand your strengths and weaknesses by testing everything in practice, you will have a complete picture of your vision. Including, you will understand why you lose yourself so often. Hint: It's about the INFP shadow type, which is essentially the "guts" of your personality. Symptoms of the personality being inside it appear due to being in stress and uncomfortable situations for too long.
      Fi is a very slippery and unpleasant function when it comes to one’s own unpleasant state of health, which also causes background frustration.
      I shared what I knew and maybe it will be useful to you ( ^ω^ )
      P.s. I'm not a native speaker, so the wording may suck

      It took a bit but it took time for them to open up and for me to relize how they care about others too. We eventually figured out how to balance out and we learn alot and about one another. I think it's neat how we are our own individuals who care about people in a different way and in different depths.

Hope this helps!

    • @danielw4838

      I would say most ENFJs come across as far more gregarious. They are likely to make their presence known to many people in a warm and friendly way. On the flip side, I think INFJs exude a bit more of a reserved warmth, and won’t be as likely to make their presence known unless the situation calls for it (or if they are in a particularly good mood).
      Additionally, I’d say ENFJs are less likely to focus on “hard facts” or engage in logical discourses. INFJs, due to their tertiary Ti, probably would enjoy a logical spar with someone like an INTP much more than an ENFJ would.
      Lastly, I’d say ENFJs probably will seem a bit more “grounded” in their bodies and surroundings. Due to the INFJs inferior Se, they can oftentimes come across as being a bit more in their heads rather than being engaged in the present moment.
      So if someone seems very gregarious, would prefer not to engage in purely logical discussions, and seems a bit more comfortable in their bodies, they’re probably an ENFJ. If someone seems a bit more quietly warm & friendly, enjoys getting into logical discussions, and often seems to be in their heads, they’re probably an INFJ. Just my two cents at least.
