I’ve noticed so many TH-camrs are concerned with their decorations being so aesthetically pleasing that the poor kids aren’t even included. Decorating the tree as a kid is the best even if our moms “fixed” it later. 🎁
When I have children things will be very different and I can’t wait for that!!❤️❤️❤️

My favorite was the pencil Christmas tree in your bedroom and the ornaments they were so delicate

Coworker told me a trick of stringing lights a few years ago.. still looks good and easy to remove. Work from top to bottom or vice versa going vertical on the tree instead of horizontal!

If you have any generic baubles where it's less important than the treasured decorations then those are good to put on the back of the tree. That's because I once made the mistake of putting all my decorations where I could see them and none at the back and it made the front so heavy that it actually fell over so it's a good idea to put at least some decorations at the back just to distribute the weight more evenly. Have a very happy Christmas

I divide my tree into thirds or fourth and just add the lights like you did, back and forth, up or down, in each section. The only thing is you have plan where to start the lights so the plug ends up in the right place. Looks wonderful! i especially enjoyed the tinsel. Def a nostalgia for me. Note: avoid tinsel with cats.

I haven’t tried it yet, but I heard stringing the lights vertically on the tree instead of around the tree works really well! 🎁

Growing up my mom and grandmother always put those icicles on our trees. They said it wasn’t complete without it. Such a lovely, vintage look just like in the movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”. Your decorating looks festive and joyful; very fun to watch. 🎁

For lights I go up and down instead of wrapping around in circles. I do this because I like a ridiculously well lit tree. So I go from bottom to top, then back down, and up and down that way all the way around the tree.

I just can’t pick a favorite because I absolutely love everything. I do think my ultimate favorite is the master bedroom. I have to echo everyone’s thoughts about how cozy and homey it feels even on video. The snowflake garland was so cute. Each tree was unique and special but I think I’m partial to the guest room tree. The snow garland is the best! Its a great idea! I love pencil trees! I even took a #2 pencil & put some of the small wire garland around it & decorated it with tiny ornaments. Leaving the #2 exposed. I just thought it was funny & my sister says I have never heard of a pencil tree, geeze country folk can be cool! Just pay attention to what the rest of the world is doing on TH-cam! Lol.

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS! To get the back of my trees lit, I start with the lights wrapped (think of the way a kite string is wrapped around the stick) and I unravel the lights as I go around the tree. Keeps the string out of my way and much easier to go around the whole tree. Hope that made sense and is helpful!
