I must be a degenerate gambler because I can’t believe no one else is talking about that dice roll that won on the first toss
Yeah I also immediately noticed how damn lucky that first throw was.
I assumed it was just part of the tutorial, because it was so damn lucky.
Henry says “it seems tankard can’t tell a 5 from a 6” so I’m willing to bet this is this the roll set for the tutorial.

I like the fact that during the sword fighting tutorial, you are not being taught but you revise together with sir Hans
It is quite funny that Hans says you are not as good as Captain Bernard when I literally sometimes beat him tf up out of boredom lol
Its made of purpose for new players, because of what happened in KCD 1, it would be silly that they practice basics.

I love the fact that it's not a complete overhaul. It's still the KCD we know and love but made even better. Like their true vision being realised.

Everything about this game looks like an improvement, even the voice acting is better; more character, more enthusiasm. The lighting in the game really makes the game pop
Definitely a huge improvement from the first game! Felt like they only had 50 voice actors for the whole game haha
It's good that character animations in cutscenes while not amazing are a noticeable improvement. The ones in the first game clashed with other visuals so hard, it sent all the characters right into the uncanny valley.
@@neelot9842 I mean, it's a 7 year wait for a sequel... of course everything will be an improvement, do you think they'll make something that looks worse than the first KCD?
They have more money which means better voice acting and graphics, that's literally every sequel of a videogame.
What actually matters is if the game will actually PLAY better than the first one rather than LOOK better.
@@Thomas-wp5cqseems like that’s where their main focus was on. Though I would play a continuation of KCD even if played exactly the same (it obviously won’t, they have put a lot of time into improving the systems).
@@Thomas-wp5cq Well, it wouldn't be the first time a game developer made a sequel or a new game launched years after it's initial title and it was poorly executed (most AAA, Bethesda, EA, etc.)
The fighting looks slightly better with the riposte indicator illuminating, I don't remember if it did that in the first one besides the perfect block. I don't know if it's just because Henry lost most of his stats, but the fighting looks a bit more difficult too which honestly I like to make the game a bit more difficult to run through.
I hope they fix it so you and the enemy aren't just exchanging perfect blocks and riposting for 2 minutes straight without anyone hitting each other though. That was a little irritating, it didn't really seem like the AI ran out of stamina enough to miss blocks and you sort of had to cheese your way sometimes to win fights

These 43 minutes have MUCH better writing and emotions than in entire Veilguard.
For Real!!!
There's more emotions in those few seconds Capon realizes the horrors of war after getting shot than in the entire Vileguard.
Everything was normal in Veilgard with emotions and history, if you liked the Inquisition. And KCD 2 is my most anticipated game in 2025m. And of course I get emotional during these 43 minutes seeing familiar characters, familiar armor, fights. Yes, there are people in this world who love both KCD and Dragon Age equally. 35:18 Speech 17 at the start of the game. So my guess is at this time he still have the late game stats from first KCD, but something will happen that will cause him to be weaker(injured maybe) and most stats reverts back to almost basic. Either that, or they raise the max level to 40.
Also I love the way they give some expositions for what happens in the first game to help new players that never plays it
Yes to both. The second warhorse live stream shows how he get hurt and must and loses some stuff. But they did indeed increase the stats. To at least 30 if not higher
Yeah, Warhorse showed the beginning of the game after the prologue, and there stats were around 3-4 and some around 6 (these are apparently the ones that are pumped up as dialogs are spoken at the beginning of the game). Well, I saw personally on one of the shows that the Strength was 26 or 27, so now the attributes are at least pumped to 30 I think, unlikely to 40, but may well be 40.

You're not alone, my favourite games of all time are KC:D and RDR2. I think it comes down to the fact that their worlds are so fully realised - as in, all the mundane aspects that most studios think you don't want or need in a game, like actually needing to feed yourself, taking care of your equipment, brushing your horse etc. When you strip those things away, sure it's a more streamlined experience, but you lose so much of what grounds it. One of my favourite things to do in Red Dead is just going out into the wilderness, making a camp, cooking some food, brewing some coffee in the morning, brushing my horse and then head out hunting. Probably wouldn't work if the game wasn't beautiful though haha
Anyway, The Witcher, even though it's just as well-written and thematically interesting, simply doesn't have that aspect of things. It never sucked me in the same way as a result.
Truly wish it was February already!
