Unfortunately he doesn’t look anything like this. To be honest this game had really good lore and visuals, it presented exactly how middle-earth can look like from the books and taking inspiration from PJ LOTR trilogy as well. But damn Amazon didn’t go that route instead we got a bunch of weak looking elves with blowouts and pompadours.
That thing can shift sizes to fit in one's finger. My guess is that it can expand to force itself out of people's grip, like it probably did with Isildur.
I love that this is also true to the source material where Sauron kills Celebrimbor with Feanor’s hammer. Unlike rings of power which doesn’t really seem to try and stick to the source material at all
When I saw that and heard how the line was being delivered, I signed up for the forces of Angband, Morder, whatever. What a cunning, beautiful seductress 🫡💕
Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor have alot of lore problems. But in some aspects they nail it on the head. Celebrimbor looks amazing. the game makes him into some power hungry fiend and alot of other lore is changed but he looks like from the line of Fëanor. Also just wow way Sauron just hammers him to death.
wait....Sauron brought Celebrimbor to Mordor so that he could torture him until he told Sauron where the other lesser rings of power were. Sauron forged the one ring by himself in secret in order to control the other rings. Also, if Celebrimbor put on the one ring you could be damn sure Sauron would be able to see him
+Julian Morgan Well things don't end well for him in the end, the ring did what it should. As for the forging of the ring, this version makes a strange sort of sense, though it is of course non canon. Celebrimbor was known for his mastery of runes, so the idea of him being forced to finish the ring, via his knowledge of runes which was beyond Sauron's is a clever idea. Gives the runes a bit of purpose beyond simple decoration as well. Same with him taking the ring, he is Feanor's grandson. Though it is of course not canon, and isn't a perfect fit regardless, there have been worse mix ups of the lore.
+hound89 Sauron should still be able see him, as he can look into the spirit or wraith world whenever he wants. Also Celebrimbor did not mess with it at all but simply claimed it.
He did and he was extremely close to doing it. Unfortunately, his own greed and lust for power was his undoing and even a slip in posture allowed for Sauron to get the ring back.
Celibrimbor in the beginning was a man fighting for his family and the good of Middle Earth, it's sad because "Celibrimbor" at the *SPOILERS* end of Shadow Of War isn't even Celibrimbor any more, one half of his soul and mercy was dumped into the new ring while the other half was corrupted by his list for power and domination. When he betrayed Talion that finalizes the last bit of Celibrimbor's soul leaving him
Did you ever play the Bright Lord dlc from the original? he had plans before Talion and him even made that ring. besides, who do you think got it in Talion's head "the time has come for a new ring" Celebrimbor perfected the One Ring, wore it, bore it, waged a war on it. it had already corrupted him utterly. you just didn't catch it. in the first game's story. finding those shards of memories is his way of convincing Talion they both fought and died for the same cause, when in truth Celebrimbor is using a grieving man as his supplicant corpse to wage the same war he did before in a bid to supplant Sauron and rule Mordor, then, all of Middle Earth.
@@Noxims47314 I agree up to a point. It was Celebrimbor, after all, who first suggested we leave, die, and go to the Undying Lands where his wife and daughter are. He was ready to stop. But Talion was the one to ask, "Could you rest?" In one sense, yes, Celebrimbor did use Talion. Especially after the making of the New Ring. But in Shadow of Mordor...I'd argue that Celebrimbor still yearned to avenge his family and himself and that was it. Once he and Talion began their larger quest to actually take Sauron down...well. What happens when you get a power vacuum that huge? Celebrimbor thought himself worthy of taking over that throne and I understand why. He thought himself capable, worthy and a superior leader, as well as a superior being morally. But he had been corrupted and his language was just like Sauron's in the end. I hated Celebrimbor's guts for betraying Talion. But I understand why he did it.

did you play Shadow of War? He has his elven form while he fights Celebrimbor and Eltariel. So they don't give a shit about this. Maybe they did in Shadow of Mordor a little bit more.
@@MyPrideFlag Well, he CAN take an elven form in Shadow of War, but it's clear he can't keep his true nature hidden anymore. Tolkien specifically said that can still shapeshift post-Numenor, but can only take dark, evil forms that show his evil. The "Angry Annatar" form he uses to confront Eltariel and Celebrimbor wouldn't fool anyone, no matter how handsome it looks. It'd be no different from taking on the form of the Black Hand again (or whatever the Black Hand's deal was in SoW). He's only using it to taunt Celebrimbor.
I would love to see Celebrimbor putting up an epic fight like this in the Amazon series against Sauron. It would be great to watch that Sauron had to kill Celebrimbor because he could somehow control the One Ring, perhaps, for he helped in its crafting or some other reason whatsoever. But Amazon portrayed him and his kingdom as weaklings. Poor guy could not even walk properly let alone fighting in the series. 😑
@Kian Dianati why do you feel obliged to write this under every damn thread? This game is pretty nice, even if it doesn't follow the canon fully, it has a lot of interesting concepts and it is still better than some low-key disturbing crap written by people who, like you, think of themselves as true fans of Arda setting.
No it’s not. The Ring was ultimately destroyed by chance (a.k.a. by Eru Iluvatar) because no mortal or immortal creature could have found the strength to willingly destroy it. All they could do was bring it to Mount Doom, the rest was Iluvatar’s doing.
I always wondered why sauron used a mace but after talking to my friend (who plays shadow of mordor) and after watching this now I know why HIS MACE IS HIS FORGE TOOL
Tyler Thorson 2 simple ways 1 his mace as we talked about a the party turns into the forge tool that he gives to celebrimbor and 2 if you see at the beginning of the video celebrimbor is forging something but he uses his sword not a forge tool so sauron might have used his mace the same way but he most likely used its forge tool form do you get it now?
I say this again because it's funny as hell. The lotr nerds who want to find any way to shoot at these games for being unfriendly to the lore is hysterical because the game is mesmerizingly amazing and well done along with being creative as a game idea and allowing for new concepts to form out of it. The nerds that go and say "it's not canon or lore friendly" when tolkien lore is so inhumanly extensive and overdone making anything into anything would need so much revision and altercations and by then no one would care. Let's appreciate the fact that it's as visually appealing as it is and not argue over some lore.
There's also so much gap in the written lore and stuff that wasn't continued, I'm happy with creators that have respect for JRRT's work to fill in those blanks or expand upon them - the fact that both games are visually inspired by the films gives some comfort that it can be canonical to them
Having read the main trilogy of books and watching some vids on the one ring i find it interesting the ring gave Celebrimbor invisibility aswell as... Well, I guess badass mode. From what I saw the one ring grants its user what they desire most, since we only ever see it in the hands of hobbits in the books ( if im remembering right, been a little while) their greatest desire is to go unnoticed. Except partly in the case of Sam, in the short while he held the ring and just by carrying it around it was able to partly grant him a kind of terrifying aura. Sam spooked an orc into running away and sibsequently showing sam where Frodo was partly. Might be missing some details, might ne misremembering others, id greatly enjoy learning more lore ^^. Also, this version of Celebrimbor is definitely a favorite, it seems the games akso combined Celebrimbor and the last king of the elves, the one who sting was forged for originally
And what’s the “original”? The original is the Silmarillion written by JRR Tolkien, which has no physical animation. None of these events depicted in this game make an appearance in LOTR or the Hobbit. Nothing outside of the books are canon.
The thing is Sauron should have seen Celebrimbor with the One Ring, because the One doesn't make you invisible in a classic sense, but takes you to a.... how should I say..... Ghost world?? The world of unliving? Anyway, Sauron, being a Mayar, was able to see that world.
BK-Channel it amplifies what is needed the most out of the wearer. Like Hobbits don’t have much natural defenses or strength so transporting their physical bodies to the spirit world is one of the things the ring does. But. Yes, In all wearers it eventually does eat away the body until there is nothing left on the astral plane
Well shadow of mordor and war are not cannon, but in SOW we see Celebrimbor being an equal to sauron when it comes to dominion over the ring, so by the in-game lore (not cannon) it would make sense that sauron can not see celebrimbor when he is using the ring.
I think Sauron COULD maybe see Celebrimbor, but Celli is also now Flash-to-Sonic fast due to having the One Ring, as it amplifies everything about a host and Elves are pretty fast and agile. Sauron has the strength of a tank, but is just as slow as one too.
Okay so from what I'm getting from the comments is that Sauron isn't an elf, but just this deity/fallen-angel-thing that takes the form of an elf. My question is, if he can shapeshift into anything he wants, why does he choose to take the form of a giant immobile eye? Or is that a form he's forced to take as a result of something that happened in the Silmarillion that I wouldn't know about because I haven't read it?
Before the fall of Numenor, Sauron could shapeshift into an elf. But for some reason he could only shapeshift into dark forms after the fall and when Isildur defeats him, Sauron’s physical form is destroyed. He can no longer get a physical form unless he gets the ring back. By the way, this game isn’t canon.
Because they care about the canon. However, here you can understand those who liked the game (me too). This game reveals characters in an extremely cool way. Atmosphere, surroundings. Also, the changes are added in a way that doesn't hurt the canon story too much. This is better than, for example, the new Star Wars
Some plot holes in this. The ring doesn’t make you invisible to Sauron. He can still see you if you put it on, if anything you shine like a beacon, like in the first movie. Not only that, but higher beings are more easily corrupted from the one ring. Thats the reason why Frodo was the ring bearer.
First: Celebrimbor was still visible to Sauron to some extent, I believe. However, he was likely moving at Flash-level speed, because the One Ring amplifies everything about a being; elves are freaking agile and fast, and Celebrimbor is Feanor's grandson and came from Valinor. So he's basically moving at lightspeed, faster than Sauron can move. Second: Celebrimbor WAS corrupted. That is why he became a Wraith, and later became a bad guy. But the rings' corruption is subtle and slow, especially when the One Ring isn't in Sauron's possession.
Its not elf-Sauron ffs. He's Annatar (a maia) - basicly angelic figures who can take various forms physically. Maiar normally resembled elves when taking a physical form (Eonwe/Annatar/Melian)
+PARAMOTH he didnt have a family in the books I heard of, but the silmarillion did state he was tortured to death in Mordor and his body hung on a banner when Sauron went to war. I think the family angle does add a good character motivation though.

The BRIGHT LORD, was an epic warrior, R.I.P CELEBRIMBOR
Shadow of War and Shadow of Mordor have alot of lore problems. But in some aspects they nail it on the head. Celebrimbor looks amazing. the game makes him into some power hungry fiend and alot of other lore is changed but he looks like from the line of Fëanor. Also just wow way Sauron just hammers him to death.
wait....Sauron brought Celebrimbor to Mordor so that he could torture him until he told Sauron where the other lesser rings of power were. Sauron forged the one ring by himself in secret in order to control the other rings. Also, if Celebrimbor put on the one ring you could be damn sure Sauron would be able to see him
***** if you look close the runes glowed blue before Celibrimbore stole it, so he obviously messed with it magically.
Julian Morgan Chances are if celebrimbor had the opportunity to wear the one ring he'd have destroyed sauron.
He did and he was extremely close to doing it. Unfortunately, his own greed and lust for power was his undoing and even a slip in posture allowed for Sauron to get the ring back.

God, this gave me shivers!!!
When he betrayed Talion that finalizes the last bit of Celibrimbor's soul leaving him
Did you ever play the Bright Lord dlc from the original? he had plans before Talion and him even made that ring. besides, who do you think got it in Talion's head "the time has come for a new ring"
Celebrimbor perfected the One Ring, wore it, bore it, waged a war on it. it had already corrupted him utterly. you just didn't catch it. in the first game's story. finding those shards of memories is his way of convincing Talion they both fought and died for the same cause, when in truth Celebrimbor is using a grieving man as his supplicant corpse to wage the same war he did before in a bid to supplant Sauron and rule Mordor, then, all of Middle Earth.
@@Noxims47314 I agree up to a point. It was Celebrimbor, after all, who first suggested we leave, die, and go to the Undying Lands where his wife and daughter are. He was ready to stop. But Talion was the one to ask, "Could you rest?"
In one sense, yes, Celebrimbor did use Talion.

@@MyPrideFlag
Well, he CAN take an elven form in Shadow of War, but it's clear he can't keep his true nature hidden anymore.

Riwillion yet Sauron uses his mace to forge
thanks to games we got a visual touch to this magnificent piece of art
I say this again because it's funny as hell. The lotr nerds who want to find any way to shoot at these games for being unfriendly to the lore is hysterical because the game is mesmerizingly amazing and well done along with being creative as a game idea and allowing for new concepts to form out of it. The nerds that go and say "it's not canon or lore friendly" when tolkien lore is so inhumanly extensive and overdone making anything into anything would need so much revision and altercations and by then no one would care. Let's appreciate the fact that it's as visually appealing as it is and not argue over some lore.
There's also so much gap in the written lore and stuff that wasn't continued, I'm happy with creators that have respect for JRRT's work to fill in those blanks or expand upon them - the fact that both games are visually inspired by the films gives some comfort that it can be canonical to them
Enjoy them both as separate entities, easy.
@@Noxims47314 there you go
5:22 now THAT was a risky move
I don’t care if this isn’t cannon it’s cooler than the original . That’s just my opinion and thoughts . It’s ok if you like or dislike this .
Everything here is cannon anyway. Except when he stole the one ring.
@@noldorwarrior7791 And the fact that he has a daughter and wife

And what’s the “original”?
The original is the Silmarillion written by JRR Tolkien, which has no physical animation.
None of these events depicted in this game make an appearance in LOTR or the Hobbit.
Nothing outside of the books are canon.
Poor Celebrimbor
5:22 why did the ring turn blue?

Amazon truly ruined celebrimbor
Is it just me or did that blade at the start kind of look like Sting?
It did, didn't it? The only difference is that sting is a dagger so the sword could be its counterpart or something.

3:41 “Take him To Mordor.” I love Steve Blum as Sauron.
What I don’t get is why celebrimbor’s family didn’t just leave as they saw that they were getting invaded
2:04 the dark lord sauron forged in secret a master ring to control all others, one ring to rule them all
And in the darkness bind them
Why do old grumblers hate the game? A great continuation of the story, which only adds details, but leaves everything unchanged?
