I used to work at Jimmy Beans Wool and stocked up on so much yarn! I'm also so slow at knitting, I've never tried socks they are too intimidating! We call our Alexa Voldermort when we don't want her to hear us. You stitch so fast I get so jealous! But then again, I have a 16th month old, so any stitching is a miracle now.

Thanks for the mention! 24 HOCS was rough! But a birthday start is a good idea! Mine is July 28th so just after that weekend, but I'm going to be out of town and I'm not sure where I will be project wise... Love the update as usual! Good luck on meeting goals!

The first knit-along I did was the 52 pair plunge. 52 pairs of socks in one year. Happy knitting. eta: I knit socks on 2 circular needles. I learned from the Nenah Gelati of the KnittingKorner CDs back in the day.

I really want to start a new full coverage for 13 but I really need to work on the HAED sal for my 4 pages. Unconventional X has started charting Omar Ryann and they got 2 more artists that left HAED this week and they were 2 I was really excited about Elizabeth Alba, and Gina Matarazzo. I could never do sock knitting b/c my hands just cramp! Cozy winter book nook is so fun!!!! Gecko Rouge is starting to do some charts that they releasing by themselves instead of with kits so that has been a nice way to pick up some projects, they are called Oscar's Picks or something like that. I was in the Gold Club for Medusa Dollmaker so I dropped it when she left. Happy Stitching!

I tried the 9 inch when I started making socks. My fingers would cramp. You can also try a set of 3 flexible dpn needles.

Love your sock yarn. So pretty. Good luck with your goals! I'm just the opposite - my cross stitch is the way I am currently procrastinating from my knitting LOL. I'm doing a bottom up pullover and need to do the bust shaping. If it's not in sock heels, I don't like doing short rows!

Jamie, your stitching looks great as usual. I am not surprised that you are slowing a bit. I think your goals are very ambitious. Maybe you should take all or part of May off from goals and just enjoy stitching in your birthday month. Enjoy your starts and enjoy stitching what you want to stitch on your WIPs.
Your sock looks great! I do love knitting a “plain vanilla sock” because of the relaxation it gives me and the enjoyment of watching the colors in the yarn play. You might like using the small circular once you get used to it. I like DPNs and 2 circulars. I have used magic loop though it’s not my favorite but I can’t use the small circular. It just doesn’t work in my hands. I hope you work it out because it is convenient and a fast way to knit socks.

Your socks look great so far. I've started some on 9" circular the only problem I found is you need to do the heal on dpns as its quite tricky to do on the small circular needle. You may find it fine though as I still haven't mastered socks but not giving up 😂

Congrats on starting your first sock and welcome to the addiction! I personally love using DPNs but I'm glad you're giving the other methods a try. My favorite sock designers are Very Busy Monkey and Erica Lueder (both on Ravelry).
