    Thank so much for sharing! I love the fact that your recipe shows us how to make yogurt...and fermented foods without purchasing starters etc. but if you have some simple grains, water and time, you can create the bacteria need to culture foods!

      You're so welcome. I'm so happy to have rejuvelac, I use it for everything that requires commercial probiotics and it works amazingly well.

    Today I started the coconut yogurt, And BTW, I have been successfully doing rejuvelac with quinoa, which sprouts also next day, and with two days is already super bubbly.

    The first batch of yoghurt is 'on its way' while the rejuvelac (aka Brottrunk here in Germany) is hopefully working its magic. I am really hooked by your way to prepare food. Everything looks so extremely tasty and doable. Thank you so much.

    I am from the Caribbean, I tried, with the mangoes, and it’s seems that 24 hours is enough for fermentation, after that it gets to alcoholic, cloudy and tasted like a beer, but even though wasn’t bad, it did not taste nice to me.

    Thank you for the inspiring recipe, i tried it with cheakpeas rejuvelac from your video about making tofu... And i used canned coconut milk (didn't find the coconuts in Berlin for fair price yet 😅) and it turned out super sour. After one night in the fridge the yogurt got separated in 2 layers and the upper was a brick of sour coconut oil 😂 i used food processor to try to blend it into smooth texture and it kinda worked but I'm still afraid to eat it because of such a strong flavour, man it smells so ALIVE 😂 very sweet and sour. Should I eat it? It's nothing like store bought yogurt

    Hi,
    I tried your recipe a couple of times. I followed your directions step by step and unfortunately every time the result was horrible. After 48 hours of fermentation the cured was just spoiled (though after 6-12 hours like i usually do, it's fine), the smell turned to be awful. Also when you separate the creamy part from the water and freeze it, it turned to a solid block of coconut butter instead of a thick yogurt .. so i am really confused and upset about all that things.

    Hey! Thanks a lot for this amazing video and recipe! Very inspiring and i'm in love with your chanel. If you don't mind would be great to have some help, because I'm facing some problems. When I make the coconut milk and let it rest overnight I don't get the cream on the top, but a residue on the bottom. I have tried two times and I get the same result. Do you know what is the problem here?

      Use fresh green chillies. Break stem, dip into yoghurt, slit the chili a little and place them also on top. Dip slit part into yoghurt. 3 to 5 chillies. About 12 hrs to set. Dry red chilies can be used in the same way. It will take around 18hrs to set. Lactic acid, bacteria aids in chillies aids the setting.

    love your videos though sometimes wonder why you do certain steps that seem redundant. e.g. why bother cutting the coconut so small.. since you throw it into the blender anyhow. perhaps for the ASMR effect...?

    • @GourmetVegetarianKitchen
      @GourmetVegetarianKitchen  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, it's not for the ASMR effect. It's easier to blend when they are small. Thank you so much for liking my videos.

    • @GourmetVegetarianKitchen
