    I think you missed a great contender. The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000 SX is a fantastic sport touring machine. It does not have as much power as some of the others mentioned here but it has more than enough to get you into serious trouble and it stands up well on the list of accessories. For someone short, like myself, it accommodates my 5' 6" with the factory lowered seat and no need to shorten the suspension. No lightweight but well balanced and easy to push around the garage or parking lot. Smooth engine, good brakes and suspension out of the box and plenty of features. Personally I think it kicks the Suzuki's butt and would give a good run against numerous other's mentioned here for less money.

      @@chessgains8075 You seem Sports orientated . Trouble is today with all the speed cameras everywhere ( including great bike riding roads where they are near corners ) You loose you're licence quick . In Australia get caught 15 mph over and you can loose it . Get caught 10 mph over just twice in 3 years and your licence is GONE . I've come out of corners and been pulled over and warned I was exceeding the speed limit coming out of the corner . Ive done a lot of driving in around the USA over 25 years, you have really easy policing there ,Ive been just waved to slow down many times , doing those speed here and you can say goodbye to $2,000 and your licence for 6 months and thats you car and bike licence .

    There are plenty of bikes that can be considered for this category. Personally, I think that any touring capable bike should have cruise control and decent weather protection for colder or wet riding conditions. None of the above mentioned would be my first choice being that I live in Northern Ontario Canada. My 2019 FJR replaced my 1400 Concours primarily because the Kawi lacked cruise.

    Love my FJR. Several great options for bikes in this category. There are a bunch of 'best of' videos for sport tourers out there, with varying opinions. IMHO Some of of the lighter weight bikes don't offer enough stability & rider protection when you hit things like 75 miles of pounding rain. I go between this bike & my Hayabusa. Frankly, most of my miles are on the FJR. It does so much, so well. Cheers

    Always been a fan of Honda. Three of my 5 bikes have been Honda's. But they eliminated their ST (for sport tourer)... why? Would love to see a more naked version of the ST1300. Always thought they had too much plastic on that bike, though it was excellent. Still like the standard look and balance of the Yamaha FJ1300. Yeah, it's a bit dated in style, but I bet that thing is rock-solid on a 13 hour all-day ride. Would much rather ride from the Bay Area, California to Tucson on the FJ1300 vs the new Tracer.

      Hi Todd, it’s not particularly crazy, it’s such a silky smooth engine, the supercharger starts to kick in at 4500 and really starts to pull at 6ish, by 10000 it’s pulling like a train. But because you have all the electronics doing there thing, you always feel as though things are under control. Yes it’s a bit flighty if you decide to go bat shit, but again, the anti wheelie which is part of the traction control, keeps it all safe! Unless you have the traction control switched off of course!! I ride mine two up 80% of the time and apart from my Mrs screaming in my ears via the intercom, I’ve never felt as though this bike is going to kill me, it’s ballistic when you want it to be, but very civilised and well mannered the rest of the time, not to mentioned extremely smooth. In all a brilliantly capable bit of kit... I love it, fully recommended one to anyone looking for a sports tourer👌🏽👍🏽

    Jeez...Are you serious? My Hips and Knees wouldn't last 30 minutes on ANY of these bikes. I had a 2006 FJR1300AE for years and regret the day I sold it...Awesome Sport Touring for a bike without Cruise Control (my only gripe). Definitely heavy on the Sport and a much younger target market. Good Video though... JP

    • @rameylewis7730
      @rameylewis7730 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      FJR1300 is by far the best touring bike here. At least he mentioned it. The younger crowd can afford to spend 13k instead of 18k and so it gets the pick. My 2021 FJR has cruise control, ABS braking, traction control, etc....
