We have to admit that most pick up buyers are for the advantage of having a car n a truck which means pang porma at the same time utility vehicle and we don't want to use it for industrial or for trucking jobs. I hope you agree. Otherwise we opt to buy the lower variant or better a real truck. I tend disagree on some comments like their idea is better than the engineers and professionals who studied, researched and came up with the design. They'd better apply to the company and promote their idea if it's good to the company. Just kidding but seriously saying.
I just give my things I don't like with Ranger raptor aside from what was said is the delay feature on the system, like horn, the shifting of transmission from 1st to 2nd gear and reverse-forward engagement. Front/side sensors are also important.
If you put 3.5 engine none will gonna buy it. Why!

I was looking into a Hilux Conquest for Toyota reliability, but the Raptor just looks so much better and Ford just offers more. Now if there will be a performance aftermarket to boost HP and fuel economy is what I want to see.

acceleration on sports mode is awesome! this is a sports truck never fails me on high speed acceleration and top speed! , I rarely use it as utility truck, the grip on the road is rigid, even on the muddest terrain no sweat on 4x4 mud/sand mode

At the end of the day it is a truck and you need to remember this, it is not a Mustang !!! Trucks are normally hard working vehicles and the engine which it has now is about the right size for what is needed, a 3.5 would kill you for the gas and not needed while driving around with speed limits being around 100kmh in the Philippines which is plenty fast enough. Fully agree with your likes in the truck.

2. Off road performance is superb.
3. Wading depth 850 mm. Meaning pwede mong ilusong sa baha kahit ga-tuhod.
4. Super cool aircon
5. Stylish leather seat makes you feel more comfy inside.
6. Rugged design interior and exterior.
7. FOX suspension.
8. Bi-turbo diesel engine is worthy.
9. Torque and accelaration... Very responsive!
10. Gear shifting is very responsive lalo na yung manual mode.

Pano mataas fuel consumption eh 2.0 engine lang mas mataas pa fuel consumption ng Hilux kasi 2.8 engine, basta mataas ang engine displacement malakas mag consumo ng fuel pero mataas ang horse power at torque kung mababa mahina lang mag consumo ng fuel pero mababa horsepower at torque

Macho and durable look but you cant get far off from the city, you need to make sure your always close to service cntr.if you buy one of those for just aesthetic reason then thats your money of course.

I agree that performance-wise raptor is not that good. It was even outran by colorado sportscat hsv in a drag race. Also one auto reviewer said the performance numbers "are computer-generated".

The Ford Performance Fox Suspension that you cant probably buy in the market which the Fox Suspension that are made for Raptors are just for the Raptors.
Jer Jay Sy Actually you can buy it. Around ₱150k. It's also for Dmax, Hilux, Colorado, and pther pick ups. Not just the Ranger.
2.0 Fox is around 90k while 2.5 Fox is around 180k. Iba po ung nakalagay na Fox Suspension sa Ranger Raptor you cant replicate the features and internals na nakalagay don. Which are found only sa Raptor even F150 lalo na ngayon ung LiveWire nila you cant buy it or purchased it

But then they are rebuildable comparing to disposable suspensions. May local service tayo ng fox dito sa Ph not just for the Bike but all Fox. Kay Dans. Lahat naman may tear and wear but may diposable at rebuildable lalo na mga nasa race na ginagamit may service crew ang fox
Ay naku huwag po kayong bumili ng WORTHLESS NA FORD RANGER RAPTOR! Meron po ako niyan at kinakabahan na po akong bumiyahe ng malayo kasi baka itirik po ako sa daan. Tama ka lods, mabilis nga raptor pero napaka high revving naman kasi 2.0 lang eh pinipilit pa ng bi turbo na mag produce ng power. Hindi ko ma gets kung bakit idto nilagay ng ford, sana yung 3.2 nila dinagdagan nalang sana ng bi turbo.

If I were to choose, Ill choose Ranger Wildtrak 4x4..
Same engine with the Raptor & it has many features than the Raptor. Ranger Wildtrak has the ff:
-adaptive cruise control
-lane departure warning & lane keeping aid.
-forward collision warning
-autonomous emergency braking
-active park assist
-auto high beam control
-ambient lighting
If u want to get that macho look from the Raptor, you can buy Raptor Kit(grill, 1 set of fender, step board, etc) available in banawe. Customising the Wheels/tires, suspension, and decals as well. Hmmm.. At least 2 thing that u won't have in the wildtrak, the Driving mode & the sports seats. Well, u don't really need those unless you're off road enthusiast.

DenDrell Gadz for comparison, Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 A/T is 3200 kgs. The Ranger Raptor is 3090 kgs. Just to compare outside ford, the Hilux is 3000 kgs.
@@janpeterbautista5013 hilux is tested & very reliable truck. The only bad side that i can see is its ride - bumpy. The parts & its engine are tougher than every pick up out there. No question..
Unfortunately, the Ranger Raptor grille is unique to the model, so even if you manage to get your hands on one, you can’t just slap it on the current Ranger. You’d have to fabricate a grille yourself or have a fiberglass expert do it. Here’s why… wide fenders are unique to the Ranger Raptor as well, and have their own dies for when the metal sheets are pressed at the factory. This shows Ford’s commitment to the Ranger Raptor model, actually. The fenders require their own pressings because the dimensions have changed dramatically.
The wider track... Raptor is wider than the Ranger wildtrak, and those bulging fenders with massive flares aren’t just for show. We suppose adding wheel spacers or using aggressive offset wheels and wider tires will give the desired look, but nothing can beat the original geometry that has been designed into the front double wishbones and Watt’s link at the rear. The front and rear tracks are at 1,710mm now.
Also the suspension, keeping things in control are the position sensing coilovers on all four corners. The Ranger Raptor’s engineers say that the Fox Racing Shox dampers are the gems of this new model, because this is obviously where a huge chunk of the performance comes from. If you’ve seen Baja 1000 videos, notice the smooth movements of the long-travel suspension. The Ranger Raptor is built to handle big air and hard hits like that. Suspension design is a sophisticated art, and in a performance truck like this, you can’t take any shortcuts. Raising the ride height and widening the stance for looks is relatively easy, but having a suspension system that can perform in conditions found in the the Baja 1000 is another, more involved, more complicated, and more expensive, thing. Expert engineering is required. By the way, ground clearance of the Ranger Raptor is 283mm. Unlike the wildtrak, Raptor has a reinforced frame, as said earlier, extra-long suspension travel and a wider track has been built into the Ranger Raptor, and the chassis has been reinforced and redesigned to cope with this. It was built to withstand hard impacts and uses various grades of high-strength low-alloy steel. The side rails are stiffer, and even the towing points have been rated to haul heavier loads. The shock towers are sturdier, too. Modifying a Ranger's frame to be tougher isn't impossible, but is a very involved process that requires the body to be removed from the frame. Unless the truck will see competition use, this might not be worth the trouble. On the other hand terrain management and 10-speed transmission, this is where it gets complicated. The Ranger Raptor is fitted with the same 10-speed transmission found on the F-150 Raptor. Cool. Why 10 speeds? Because this wide ratio results in better acceleration and responsiveness. And then there's the terrain-management system that has six modes, the most exciting of which is Baja Mode. In this setting, responsiveness is tuned for high-speed off-road driving. Traction control is less intrusive, and gears will be held longer and downshifts are more aggressive. We suppose you can find this transmission from a wrecked F-150 Raptor in the US, but when you do, you will have to pair it to the new engine.
DenDrell Gadz well, the Hilux is a workhorse. This Ranger Raptor is more of a status vehicle.
David Angulo talking about the Ground Clearance, the Ranger, Navarra, Dmax, Colorado, and all other pick ups has 200-240 mm of ground clearance. The Hilux has 279 mm. That's almost 2.3 inches difference! And only 4 mm lower than the Fox equipped Raptor. In stock form! Mindblowing!
That V6 is just for the new f150 raptor..they' re ditching V8s except for their heavy duty trucks and ford is reducing its engine displacement.. but for me, engine reliability, still the 3.2.. the bi turbos are about to be tested, so far, some consumer from my area(gensan, davao) complains that their turbo was blown out and replacing w/ a hefty price new turbos..
The second thing he doesnt like is it doesn't feel special inside. I mean. You said apart from the seats steering wheel etc. If ford changed it too much then it wouldn't be a ranger right? The "Raptor" package is more of the performance upgrades rather than style. The raptors signature is flashy flares and fox suspension with beefy tires the inside doesn't matter. No offense.
But, Raptor bucket seats are great! very comfy and sporty. Steering is lighter than my Rav4 2013.

These trucks are tough and lasts for a long time. They does not wear off fast because all parts are heavy duty made. Sell it after 15 years or 12 years and buy a new one.

The bi-turbo v6 wouldn't be a wise choice for Ford to do. The F150 raptor has that engine, as a company i think they wouldn't compromise such engine option. They want to keep the F150 different from the Ranger platform.

The engine is a huge let down. I own a 19 ranger raptor and a 2018 Navara both have a similar 4 cylinder diesel engine that's just painfully slow . As a matter of fact all pick ups available in the Philippines suffer from the same problem. All of them should have a v6 option
How the transmission? Issues about transmission are now arising.

Ford is not gonna put a 3.5 ecoboost in a ranger, not since the f150 raptor has that engine, the most they might do will be a 2.7 ecoboost which usdm rangers and lower trimmed f150 already utilize here un the US market, trust me when i say i wish they would swap to a v6, i drive the big brother raptor here.

Bro, u better check power train again. New 2.2 bi-turbo deliver more power and torque than previous 3.2 engine. And using 2.2 instead of 3.2 , running cost is significantly low for yearly basic. Just for yr info dude.
It´s a 2.0. And he said it, it runs okay and its top in its class however is not something that you expect from Ford Performance. Considering the looks, you would expect an engine capable to deliver at least 300hp.

Diesel is more expensive than gasoline in the USA! Diesel stations are not readily available in urban areas sometimes they are located at desert areas where most truckers pass by.

You will love it. I owned and driven a lot of cars since I was a used cars dealer then, This Raptor is fun to drive you will enjoy every bit of it. Its like driving a sports car with its electric drive power steering and 10 speed powerful automatic transmission. The ride is so good and comfy. Hindi ako nagkamali sa pagbili ng Ford Raptor pero di ko pa sya nasubukan sa off road.

The Ranger Raptor has an internal Timing Belt. Sealed with the engine and soaked in engine oil. Goodluck replacing that. Also, the EGR and exhaust system is integrated inside the engine goodluck cleaning that too!
The 500 nm of Torque is only available in 1750-2000 rpm. That's only 250 rpms and with a 10 speed gearbox, it's hard to fully utilize that 500 nm because the rpm is always changing.
