I'm due to have a hemithyroidectomy in a couple of weeks... And it might become a total thyroidectomy. I've been looking through you tube, to give me a heads up, and I'm interested in knowing what it will be like a few days afterwards etc. Anyhoo, I just wanted to say, your videos are the best I've seen in this area. Calm voice, good information, easy to understand! Brilliant. Thank you Dr Clancy!!

I removed my entire thyroid December 18 2018 I’m not sure if the sweats and chills are related to the removal?

My ENT surgeon said that even if damaged they can be transplanted into surrounding tissue and they may produce hormone. You don’t need all four.

I doubt that the NHS in Britain would be as efficient in looking after the patient !
That is what is worrying me.
Shortage of beds and useless nurses means less care for patients and hygiene is minimal.
    Scared ? No, just petrified.

Totally necessary for n. I just had a Thyroid storm. And nearly died. I also have numerous modules that are affecting my swallowing so I get choke every time I try to swallow. I even choke on liquids. Me adr said one of my nodules is 32cm. That’s huge

Absolutely correct, mine was removed in '86, for starters you're now dependent on pharmaceutical until you die stop taking the T3 and T4 for a long period of time, you WILL die. At the time they didn't know anything, they still don't they couldn't care less, its like hysterectomy surgeries they're unnecessary but a surgeon's bread and butter.
Currently at 53, I'm fit, active, healthy, my bones and muscles are strong and super healthy HOWEVER because I'm not receiving the ideal quantity of T3 T4 my brain doesn't permit calcium and health to my joints and currently have terrible ache from arthritis damage =<
Doctors haven't got a clue, I doubt even pharmacists know how to help. It's a death sentence, i advise all NOT TO remove it, DETOX, stop eating trash, drink filtered water, and so on. It's a medical scam.

TheMagnificentPower fake news. If I didn’t remove my thyroid I’d die. Don’t spread misinformation
