Off-Road LED Light Bar Troubleshooting, Bad Bulb Section Repair, Water Leak Damage Fix

I bought the LED light bar off Amazon and it was leaking water and broken in less then a year. I decided to take it apart and investigate the issue. It clearly had water in it from the moisture and condensation I could see on the glass. One of the bulb panel sections had a bad protection diode. The diode was fine but the connections were corroded. Not sure if it shorted out of just came loose. I soldered the pads and reattached the diode and the problem is solved.

I bought a curved 40 inch LED bar from Rough Country over a year ago and left it in the Box till couple weeks ago. I didn't want to try to fix it myself, but Rough Country is sending me out a new light bar and they said to just toss the other one. I'm going to try to fix it and have two working light bars.

Good, now i will see if all my dead ligtbars have same easy fix i have three lightbars that not all diods light on if one of them have same easy fix i are thery happy, thank´s for a realy good movie.

nice - thanks! I think petroleum jelly under heat conditions e.g. 38..42 degrees will melt away. Better to use silicon sealant.

some condensation got into my light bar and now 3 leds aren't working anymore. I was just wondering it theres likely any hope for them. could that moisture have broken some of the saudering joints?

Cool I fixed mine a soldered wire came undone and only 3/4of light was working

Usually from heavy rain it gets in somehow.

Hey SoCal, NorCal here. I'm having a bitch of a time finding led light engines for a bar of mine that COMPLETELY blew out. I can find 24v but not 12v any suggestions?
Nice Bronco too btw. '70-'71?
