Absolutely. She's a real looker. I still haven't watched 2045 but if you haven't seen the original Ghost in the Shell I highly recommend. Major is far more mature in that.
Sometimes Megahouse is hit or miss, I've seen them do dirty before, but glad the Major turned out topnotch! I have yet to watch any GiTS but I thinkin' I'm liking this version of her!
This one, is one of the starting points in anime back in the 90's besides, Pokémon, Digimon, Evangelion, Dragon Ball, etc... And was mine too, I too love this franchise alot.
From the characters to animation quality to philosophy this series is a great baseline to show people how good anime can be. It shows somebody that they're not just dealing with some animation or cartoon that they expect to be shallow. GITS is so damn special and I will ALWAYS recommend it.

You gotta love Megahouse. Smaller scales, plain bases (thankfully not all the time), and high prices. Ugh! But they do make gorgeous figures. I've had my eye on this figure for a long time and I'm glad I was able to find her. BBTS had version 2 on sale but I opted to spend more on this one. Version 2 is nice, but I had to have her in that jacket. Also I dig the action pose. I feel she'll display quite nicely with Second GIG version that recently released.
Better late than never! Welcome to the club! Despite the original SAC and 2nd Gig being far more favorable of series to me, when it comes down to a nice scale figure: this one really takes the cake. She’s so pretty in person and a wonderful display piece. You didn’t choose wrong my friend.

So far my favorite Motoko in my collection is the one Alter released several years back; the one where she's in her grey assault gear. I absolutely loved that one. Static pose so very simple but man she was a beauty! I feel this one will be tie with that one. I do plan to pick up the latest 2nd Gig Mokoto Megahouse released, though I'm hoping to see it drop in price a little. 😅
Make her around some pipe, jumping and dancing in diff. disco lights or going through pieces of flying glass, like we all would probably would love to see, in the air xD Nice vid. Thx.
This was a great review, I finally got my shipping notification from rightstuf and I can't wait to hold this figure! Ghost in the Shell is how I came into my own style & preference in anime even while watching a handful beforehand BUT the films and series is where I came into how I appreciate the way anime is so amazing and ofcourse The Major is one of those heroines that need no hype cuz she is a just a force of brawn, beauty, and bountiful complexity that she will always be one of my favorite characters

While this is a great statue, it bugs me that her appearance if far more mature and adult than how she appears in the show which sucks because this look is WAY BETTER
Ilya's design of Motoko is the only thing the show had going for it from what I can tell. But all of the drawings are waaaay nicer than the 3D models. That's only natural. But this figure is a great way to realize the art in that third dimension. If only they invested that kind of effort into the show... Thanks Netflix!

Yeah, I feel like any extra arms would potentially add seams that might break up the flow of the figure. Having it all one piece allows it to retain a clean appearance.
I liked the new ghost in the shell, cgi was nice, (prefer hand always) but the thing that didn't like, AT ALL was this washed out like picture, like an old tv or monitor before oleds like. Figure looks really nice and packaing is good too.

Best way is to make sure it’s slightly warmed, that way the plastic is somewhat malleable and then just bend he fingers back and slip the gun into her hand. There’s no easy way unfortunately but heat is your friend! Cold plastic is STIFF and likely to snap.

This is just MPO but I don't like to see people treat statues or toys with the reverence of the Shroud of Turin. It just bothers me. I throw the boxes away. I display the figures. When I'm 80 and dying (okay, 80 and full cyborg) I won't be thinking back to my life and wishing I'd saved the boxes. However, thanks for the review as I've been wanting this figure.

I watched season 1 of it. But coming from SAC, the artstyle and OST is a letdown. But storywise I think is better than Arise.

Id cut a black shiny vinyl circle on the underside of the stand.
Definitely not a bad idea. I was thinking of doing a dark purple with maybe some gradient in it.
