Great review! I agree that I used to have an older Braun that shaved a lot closer to my skin. I like it because it felt like a razor shave but sometimes would cause ingrown hairs. The new series 9 pro feels like it doesn’t get as close but at least I don’t have ingrown hairs anymore!

(I did buy Series 9pro+ , and i must say it feels like it doesn't shave the hair as much as i was expecting - but in the end the results are very similar to yours - First shave i must say i am happy and willing to give the item 8.5/10.

The two pin. Is because of uk law. Which states you can't have a 3 pin plug socket in a bathroom . Must be 3m away from water in a bathroom. So that is a two pin shaver plug for the uk market.

Because it doesnt do well with cant big and thick hair. In this case, you need to cut it to a small size with the trimmer and finish off with the razor.
If you had unlimited funds, I wonder how your favorite electric shaver would compare to the Babyliss FX3 (or Double UV Foil) foil shaver, which are highly rated by barbers. The FX3 is more affordable. Should you ever get back to using any safety razors, I'd like to see your thoughts after trying a single edge razor using Feather 'Artist Club' blades. I find the RazoRock Hawk V3 open comb single edge razor (NOT a straight razor) with Feather 'Super Professional' blades quite efficient and comfortable, but there is a learning curve to get there. This razor and blade combo is the most aggressive option, but the thicker 'Super Professional' blades (used in restrained hands) can get you a very efficient and comfortable shave after some practice.
I think it's pretty decent. Probably overpriced though as I still find myself doing a once over with the braun, then cleaning things up with my Henson razor. The Henson is the real MVP in my opinion.

I wouldn’t compare the Silk Epil 9 to the Brain Series 9. The build quickly is exceptional on this. I’ve used it as my daily shaver for almost five years and it’s never had any issues. I use it in the shower, I’ve taken it on all of my work trips, and it’s been used in the shower a lot. I get it wet, I use shaving foam, and I shave without foam. Never had any issues at all :) The battery still lasts me about two to three weeks on a single charge. Also the cleaning case is fantastic because it’s eliminated my shaving rash completely. I’m prone to ingrown hairs and shaving rash to the point that I can’t use a normal or safety razor at all. But this gives me a smooth to the skin shave every time with no issues at all.
i wonder how well it works compared to the regular curved trimmer? I couldnt even get the curved trimmer on my series 9 to cut my side burns because the teeth were so long? i guess. .

If ur paying 2-400 dollars for an odd to use to the touch razor ur only fooling urself. This does the same shit any regular electric razor does only upside is its good if ur going bald and you need a head shave 💀😭

This shaver does NOT shave my neck. Gives me a lovely shave on my face but the neck absolutely not
