@@artyomsherwin648 Do they come out nearly as good, though? That's what I'm wondering. The last few years of models are injection-molded to exacting tolerances and no density inconsistencies. I don't have much experience with 3-D printers, but my dad's cheapy 3-D printer sucked really badly. I'd trust milliput over what came out of his 3-D printer.
@@manictiger It depends on the printer, the resin (At least resin sellers will have you believe that) and what you're planning on doing with them. The printed models I've seen personally, I would not have guessed were printed. The worst one looked like there was a bit too much paint on. For a diehard perfectionist, printed ones might not be OK, personally I think they're fine. At least for playing with them. Of course, if you're doing display painting and people will take a magnifying glass to it, that's a different story.
I visited this place on the Saturday just gone. It’s 40 minutes from home and it was my first time. I didn’t really know what to expect. Let me preface this by saying it was contrast paint release day and there was a huge first round of a tournament going on. The place was packed, yet you could get around and still enjoy. You walk in feeling excited, you leave wanting to turn around and walk back in. The whole experience is one of awe, amazement, surprise, friendliness and joy. The staff in the GW store can’t do enough for you, the eating hall hits the spot with decent food and friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Forgeworld makes you gulp, ( 6000pt Titan). The gaming hall is just brilliant to watch what’s going on and the exhibition hall just leaves you jaw dropped.. If you get the opportunity to go, I’d say to anyone who loves Warhammer it’s a must. It’s the Vatican City, Jerusalem, Mecca Of Warhammer universe and it really doesn’t disappoint.
They're only actually worth a few pennies. Just because we're willing to pay 140 dollars for a Combat Patrol doesn't mean that's what it cost to make them. I heard it's about 50 cents per sprue. The profit margin is pretty nice if you're GW.
So happy we have this video because I live in the US so the chances of me going to England to see this in person is slim. Still got it on my bucket list though. Just from the video, some of these displays are breathtaking.
Love this place! Managed to get down a few years ago came away with 1000's of photos witch i actually turned into a youtube vid. A bit sad to see the old warhammer fantasy models the lore seemed so much more rich and deeper than aos.
Going there in October myself! I can already tell me and my friend are going to spend hours looking at all the little models and how they're posed in the middle of battle! Thanks for the video :)
I remember starting my 40k and Warhammer Fantasy addiction 12 years ago, when i was 8, thinking my painting skills were slick and that my models were the best. These painters and modellers are insane at what they do, so much respect.
I recommend watching this video at half-speed, as the constant camera movement makes it quite hard to take everything in @ normal speed. 3:28 that Battlefleet Gothic duel is my favorite part, I think, although there's so much awesomeness to see here. Thank you for filming this for us all. Living on a completely different continent, getting to Warhammer World has proved to be a challenge, so this is the second best way for us to visit! :-D
Great suggestion and thank you for the comment. You are INCREDIBLY lucky to get this comment as they have since placed signs saying no filming allowed.
6:02 can somebody, for the sake of the omnissiah, tell me what that GLORIOUS tracked vehicle is?! I have never seen it and MUST have at least 2-3 of them for my mechanicus army!!
The exhibition is great just visited it yesterday. But I think taking videos isn't allowed. At least that is written on a sign at the entrance. I hope you don't get striked or something like that. Best of luck from Germany
Pflaumenkuchen01 Lmao. Yeah I thought that wasn't allowed either. BUT THEN people started uploading videos taken on their phone so....Anyway it gives a chance for people all over the world to see the exhibition who can't get to the UK and also serves as a great piece of free advertising for Warhammer World.
Pflaumenkuchen01 watching videos like this makes small minded people like me want to buy more models for no reason at all so they would be idiots to take it down lol
Wyatt Arthur that is a very valid point. But my comment only expressed my concern that one of my favorite 40k TH-camr might get a strike. And being there makes one buy even more minisXD I bought stuff for like 300 € while I visited a couple of days ago.
no worries. It would not get either a community or copyright strike as it does not break either of those guidelines. The worse case scenario is that GW email me to request I take the video down, which actually includes less content than my video last year containing 800 photos. They could ask this because recording video footage breaches their policy of no recording in their exhibition areas but there are valid counter claims I could put forward in response. I'd actually be quite humbled that GW were watching my videos too hehe. Furthermore the video and ALL of my other videos can be seen as promotion and helping to grow the community. The countless number of people that have messaged me to say they have bought this or started the hobby because of me is encouraging. Removing the video would create controversy/drama which would generate attention and momentum and grow the channel but would create backlash at GW. There are a number of things I could do to get the same effect but I like to keep it real and not go for clickbait titles/thumbnails or create drama in the first place. FYI here are just 3 out of the many other videos (one from 2012) which have not been taken down: th-cam.com/video/t6m8D9lwTWU/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/xAzvBCqoRBc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/0IJQDHpr-dQ/w-d-xo.html Some people will never be able to physically visit Nottingham and it would be ludicrous for GW to expect everyone in the world to be able to. What about the people making the models in China? What about the guys in Australia who are really passionate about the hobby despite the prices? What about the Americans that want to see GW succeed in their country? I'm glad GW chose to have a Warhammer World and I'm honoured that I can share it with everyone.
Wow. Thank you so much for the amazing video- fantastic job showing the immense scale of some of these dioramas, then zooming in for the details. Was the one of the Crimson Fists a 3D version of the old rule book cover? I saw a "beaky" with an ork head raised in his fist- looked awfully familiar! Thanks again, my friend- I will definitely make a special trip there when my wife and I finally get to the UK for a proper holiday. It's a long way from Connecticut, US!

I am aware that some new dioramas are coming in the next few months, so that's something. However, I would like some information, namely, what kind of clothing and such items do they sell and for what prices? A nice Warhammer T-shirt for £20? For example. I am taking £100 spending money, so I'll just get a small kit from the gift shop. Going through York, going to take four hours there and four hours back and will cost £100. Man, I only hope the dioramas are worth it, hence I can't watch this. :D
Warhammer Workshop they sell all kinds of hoodies and t shirts, think my t shirt was £20. Also art prints, badges, all black library books FW and GW products. £100? is that on a train or something?
