I usually use these day one but this year I'm using the Samsung one simply because you 100% loose the anti reflectiveness of the new screen with a glass screen protector.
I’ve been contemplating that too, but came to the conclusion that I would rather lose the anti reflective aspect and have peace of mind. None of my previous phones had anti reflective properties so I would rather feel safer when (and it will) falls.
Just slap Samsungs antireflective screen protector on top of your screen protector :)
@@andrewgotlost lol
@@andrewgotlost thought of that too, but reviews haven't been great and was looking for tempered glass over just a screen (I don't know if that's better for falls or impact)
Im actually considering just NOT using a screen protector this year, that anti reflective display benefit is so worth it. I dont mind hairline scratches you dont even see when the phone is on
It's a flat screen, the adhesive is no longer needed. They sell a normal one for a third of the cost. I'm using that one. Its listed as DOME GLASS Whitestone EA Glass Screen Protector, 2 pack for $18
I thought the same thing, so I got a normal glass screen protector, but after I installed it, I had problems with the finger print scanner not wanting to work very well. It was a different brand screen protector, but when I looked at the reviews for the DOME GLASS Whitestone EA on Amazon, I saw a lot of people with the same complaint. I then got the one with the UV curing adhesive, and the fingerprint scanner works fine now.

5.0 out of 5 stars easy to apply and fingerprint reader works

finger print reader works flawlessly
doesn't hold onto fingerprints easily
easy to apply
Yes! So much easier to install and fits perfectly 👌 plus, it even covers front camera 😁
You are right, Whitestone wants their money. LOL you can get the AMFILM one for $8
I use to use UV Dome religiously. First thing I purchase after pre-order was the UV Dome glass and UAG Monarch Kevlar.
This year, I bought both the UV dome, and decided to try the EA dome glass too since 2 of them are $22.
All I can say is that I wish I would've tried it sooner.
With thr EA you don't have to worry about taping up you phone so you don't get any UV Fluid in your phone... I'll repeat that... YOU DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT TAPING UP YOUR PHONE SO YOU DON'T GET UV FLUID WHERE IT SHOULDN'T GO.
With the EA it's the same glass but it comes with a mount, that puts the glass perfect EVERYTIME!!
Also, the EA Glass actually covers the selfie camera the selfie camera, whereas the UV does not, and because it doesn't it makes the glass easier to crack. 90% of the time my glass screen protector broke where the selfie camera opening on the UV Light was.
Also cleaning the selfie camera with the UV glass was a mission in it self because of the small notch on the UV Glass, where is the EA glass is so easy to clean.
Trust me, and try the EA dome glass... Your welcome.
I'm a dome and monarch fan just like you, I'll try the EA and let you know
What I use is the Whitestone dome film screen protector that uses the UV lighting, no liquid to pour on the screen, the liquid is built into the screen, and thus the light. And it hardens harder than a typical film f
Screen protector. It's super smooth.
In fact I just installed the whitestone liquid dome glass and it works as a charm , like always
Looking good Josh 👍 great choice using Whitestone dome ❤
Ive used these for years, best tip is to put it on right out of the box.
Thanks Josh! Without your clear and calm explanation I probably would have ruined it 😅
Why u need that much installation process.
it’s not a curved display.just buy a normal screen protector.
I buy a panzer screen protector..no adhesive gel or uv light..fingerprint also working perfectly..case friendly too.
Could you please tell me what rugged cases (not necessarily full screen sealed covered or protected) as in Otterbox defender , Juggernaut advtr, Spigen military etc . Are these type cases compatible with the whitestone ??? Thank you . 😊😊😊
Not really the best compatibility when it comes to those types of cases. It can be, but sometimes those cases will push up the corners. Check out this dbrand Grip Case. Great protection and works perfect with this screen protector 👍 Here's my drop test video: th-cam.com/video/sHdlz8-vuSM/w-d-xo.html
When you want to replace the screen protector. How easy is it to remove the screen protector and is there any residue left on the screen that needs to be removed before placing a new one
Here's a removal video of mine. Super easy and clean👍 th-cam.com/video/UEKIq_tSWZY/w-d-xo.html
Pro tip. If you've done this before save the loca, save the wipes, save the clothes. Everything. In case anything gets messed up you have extra. Additionally; order a 2 screen replacement pack just in case. The worst that can happen is you don't need it and return it
Thanks Josh!
Of course!
I bought these but I yet to put it on. I ended up putting the Samsung one so I wouldn't lose the anti reflective coating.
I used to love these screen Whitestone dome screen protectors when Galaxy phones had curved displays but without a curved screen what's the benefit of buying one of these UV screens vs just a sticky tempered glass screen protector? The UV screen protectors cost so much more and I don't see an additional benefit of a traditional protector.
Agreed. I used one on my S23 Ultra, some of the adhesive got in the gap between display (maybe my fault, Idk) and frame and was hard to remove. With the S24 Ultra I got 3 glass screen protectors for about 10 bucks since it's flat and they work flawlessly, even the fingerprint scanner without any problems.
Put the Torres diamond cut on mine. Took less than 10 seconds n it's incredible. Flat screens rule 😀
How is it holding so far? Did you say Torras?
Here's a question for you, I was watching another video, and they mentioned that glass screen protectors shouldn't be used with the S24 Ultra because it uses a ultrasonic fingerprint reader, compared the Pixel 8 Pro's optical fingerprint reader, is that true?, or can you still use glass SP on the S24U? Awesome video!! 😊
This is a glass screen protector and it works perfectly 👍
Since all of the screens are flat, there's no issue. Glass screen protectors have been fine since the S21 except on the Ultra, which needed the glass with the UV light thanks to the curve. This year, even the UV glue ones aren't necessary.
How is it different from [EA] Dome glass?
They are very identical. This one is just more secure because of the UV light curing. This one also does not cover the selfie camera which leads to a bit better front facing camera quality
Glass from the video, does it cover the entire screen? Won't you feel corners on the sides? Or is it slightly rounded?
Sorry, Google Translate@@Josh_Quinonez
@@BletNet it is slightly rounded which is nice because it doesn't give that sharp feel
Man great video. It's a very involved process but totally worth it I'm sure. I will refer back to this video once i get my s24 ultra.
Yes definitely worth it👍
Don't bother. The plastic ones go on in seconds and are way better
What happens if you cure it for a longer time? Is there a benefit?
Not really. Once it's cured, it's cured
Im going to refer people to this video when someone asks me for an example of over engineering
I here people saying not to buy a glass screen protector like Whitestone As you lose the anti-reflective screen feature in the new gorilla Glass and to instead buy the official Samsung plastic film screen protector instead as you won't lose the anti-reflective features has this actually properly been confirmed. And can you do a video comparing Whitestone and Samsung screen protector to see if this true
In the past I have cracked my S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra.
If it's true that the S24 Ultra loses its anti-reflective properties if you use a glass screen protector I would need all the information to Weigh my options if I risk and get the official Samsung screen protector and hope my new S24 Ultra don't crack or buy the Whitestone screen protector to get the most protection but lose the anti-reflective features
The glass material on the glass screen protectors are not anti reflective. So yes, you'll lose the anti reflection from the actual gorilla glass Armor. You'll have to buy samsung official anti reflection screen protector or find another 3rd party that makes anti reflection screen protectors
Decent protection at a cost. You pay a premium for the product but you also give up some touch sensibility. Including fingerprint scanner.
Not at all. Touch sensibility works perfectly fine and the fingerprint scanner never misses👍
@@Josh_Quinonez that is not what I experienced. Perhaps they improved the product. I switched to TPU films because of it. Price wise, it was initially expensive but Whiteatone was pretty good about replacing them for a small cost. $10 I think.
@Collbran there's a setting to increase screen sensitivity when in use with a screen protector
I have used these on 5 fingerprint phones and never had an issue scanning them. if you do though, it's as simple as reregistering your finger prints. This goes for any protector.
nice
Why don't you make a video of you trying the EA Dome glass, if you haven't already... I think you'll have the same opinion as I do, and it's cheaper, so you'll be saving your subscribers money.
I've tried those before as well. They work great👍
@@Josh_Quinonez And the guide it comes with puts the glass on perfect everytime. Also, the fact the the glass covers the whole screen including the selfie camera makes it so mucn easier to clean and not as easy to break. LOVE IT!
Reading the Bible on this phone looks amazing
Yes! Amen!
I guess this is expensive than the samsung anti-reflective screen protector, and the fact that I won't be loosing the anti-reflective properties of my s24 ultra. Samsung screen protector is a much better choice bundle up with samsung smart view wallet case for added screen protection,
What about the Anti Glare property of the screen !??? That must have gone out the window with a glass screen protector !!!! 😕
That's when you have to make the decision of what's more important to you. Anti glare or a protected display from the best?
@@Josh_Quinonez that's the weird part. Anti glare screen is advertised as a big upgrade by Samsung very well knowing that 90% of owners will use a screen protector. So they either needed to make a glass non glare protector (Even if expensive) or just not bother with the anti glare mumbo jumbo and leave the screen as Vivid as s23 ultra.
Now it's neither 🤷🏻🤦🏻
Whitestone needs to refine the process somehow
Absolutely, this is a complete waste of money and time, spend half the amount on a spigen ez fit, fit in less than 3 minutes 😂
Gave up and slung it in the bin. Talk about over complicating things 😂
Best screen protector for fix little scratches 😂
You dont really need a screen protector with the S24s. It scratches at a level 7 with deeper grooves at a level 8.
You need a screen protector for every single phone there is. Unless they don't scratch at level street stones with deeper grooves at sharp concrete.
How naive
It seems that the anti-glare screen has completely lost its function after adding a protective glass for $ 100 🤦How does it differ from glasses for $ 20 or $ 50 ?? The presence of a stupid design for gluing, which will then have to be thrown out??
You may lose your anti glare
Yes you do lose anti-glare. But for the most part I'd rather have a protected display.
Dam I think im fuck this up😢
No point in going through all this when the device has a flat screen...
My lord, all this bs when Samsung should just apply a protector in the factory to begin with.
Totally useless now that the curved edge is gone. Don't waste your $$$
