Congratulations on the new Basecamp 🎉 I've been full timing in my 20X since I received it in the spring of 2021 and I'm loving it! The two must have items for me is a product called "Eva-Dry" High Capacity, Mini-Dehumidifier. In my humble opinion these devices are a total game changer. With the small living space and being constructed of aluminum the Airstream Basecamp models are know for condensation and with that comes mold, so coupled up with some Clorox spray those two things have made a huge difference. Especially with the damp weather I experienced this year. Oh and one other addition would be a bunch of microfiber towels. Enjoy your journey !!! Oh and throw in a Bluetti AC200Max with a extra B300 battery and now your powered 🔌
Thanks for stopping by! I’m based in Florida, so I completely understand humidity! Right now, I’m using the last of the Damp Rid from my last RV. Then I’m going to invest in a dehumidifier for daily use.
Welcome & thanks! We looked & researched for about two years. If you work with a dealer, remember that larger dealers can have units shipped around. This one came from Iowa & I love in Florida. It’s a good idea to bargain shop online & consider shipping if you can!
I have LOVED it. It made such a difference in the wet bath. Again, it’s never gonna be a “sexy shower,” but it definitely glammed up the space… & also, the floor dries faster now. That might be the best part. Thanks for watching!
Good question! It’s not my first RV, technically speaking. I had a small unit prior to this & you can see it in my other videos. I had some fun, did some modifications, but the unit also had some issues from the manufacturer that never got resolved due to the dealership not doing their job. So when we found this unit, we (hubby & I) decided it was time for a change. My channel is all about my Jeep, my travels (which the Airstream is now a part of), & not being afraid to try new things. I hope you’ll consider subscribing!
@@OverNoobin It sounds interesting. My wife and I are retired and have a Class A diesel pusher. We had planned on towing my Ford F-150, but Ford said we couldn't do it so we bought a Lincoln MKX. That's better for my wife anyway as she is handicapped.

You won't regret the trex mat. It helps a ton

@@adriannurse1502 it took a bit of clever packing for me to tow with my Wrangler, but it’s working out great.
