    I'm with you on snaps. I have yet to see a compelling case that the fish care. I regularly fish a lake that has about 20 feet of visibility most of the year and having experimented with using or not using them, there's no difference in bites. Some people are worried about them failing, but I don't think snaps opening is a problem as long as they aren't shitty. I have heard a lot of people swear by the ones you use, but I like the Decoy EX snaps and recommend them to anyone who is wondering if snaps are a good idea. I use size 2 for crankbaits/jerkbaits and size 3 for hard swimbaits.

    You were talking about ripping the fritzside like a trap, have you ever tried that with the DT series in deeper grass? You can smack the bottom of your rod while pulling it upwards and it will actually cut the grass with the bill of the bait. Just food for thought I learned from Ike.

    • @mikeybalzz
      @mikeybalzz  ปีที่แล้ว

      done it a bit with a dt but it seems to grab grass worse than some of the others. my favorite for that deal is a lucky craft bds - baddest grass ripping crank out there with the way the bill is designed and it's silent. it's a little more aggressive though - more of a spring summer deal.

    Out of curiosity do you think there is a big difference between the OG Slim vs the Fritside or the diving Fritside vs the DT? Thoughts on the new Clickin' Fritside? I personally have a ton of faith in the Fritside. I've found there's never a bad time to throw it. It has a unique deflecting action that I find triggers more strikes. Do the crankbait clips affect the reaction and should you remove the split ring? I find myself retying often just due to line wear. Love the channel keep up the awesome and straight up content!
