  • The tomb of Nefertari is arguably Egypt (and the world's!) most beautiful tomb. join me as I explore the Valley of the Queens and the tomb of Queen Nefertari.

I cried in that spot where the cows are all over the wall. Just amazing and beautiful art throughout this tomb!!

I have seen numerous videos on Nefertiti's tomb but none can compare to your presentation and how you let the viewer personalize the experience. Also that you were so moved by the experience enhanced the video. Thank. you.

Just curious if you had to pay off the guy to let you film? They had a strict policy of no filming when I was just there..

yes, you absolutely have to bribe people in order to get access in special permissions and things because Egypt is a Third World authoritarian dystopia

Stunning! Thank you for this video. I'm going to Luxor in May but only have one day. Would you suggest Valley of the Queens over the Valley of the Kings? I'm not sure if both could be done in a day.

You can do both in one day IF you're not too affected by heat and do okay with stairs.
      May is hot.
Both Valleys open at 6 am, if you can manage the early morning, that's really the best time to go. If you're okay with a fair amount of stairs, I'd do the Valley of the Kings first (spring for the tomb of Seti I - lots of stairs but incredible and the paid Rameses tomb - fewer stairs and beautiful) and then head to Valley of the Queens if you're feeling up to it.
If stairs are hard for you, you could just do Valley of the Queens as it has far fewer and is a smaller total area to navigate.
You'll probably want to do either Luxor Temple or Karnak also, but they are on the east bank, so getting between them and the tombs on the west bank takes some time. Karnak is grander but Luxor temple is fantastic too and much smaller (so easier to see with less time).
I hope you have the best time! I really love Luxor.
