Don't know about this case but there are people out there putting EVO parts in a Mirage, and yes, including complete drive train swaps. Some people just prefer the coupe look.

エボかとおもったらミラージュか
土屋圭市さんが「ザ・峠」を出す前から箱根旧道や碓氷旧道を走っていた元峠族です。
旧道では前走車のナンバープレートが見えなくなるまで詰めないと抜けないので思いっきりペタペタに着けるのが普通でした。
この走り方をすると前走車の腕が直ぐに分かるのでヤバイと思ったら直ぐに戦線離脱するのが当たり前です。
上手い人の後ろなら必死の思いで全テク使ってでもついて行きましたがリズムに乗れない人やアンダー出す人は刺さったら巻き込まれますからおっかなくて近寄れなかったです。
上手い人が揃うと６台ペタペタとかは普通でした。
新入社員と車の話をしていたらキャブレターとかＬＳＤが通じなくてビックリしました。
当然ワンウエイとか１.５ウエイとかリジットデフは通じるはずもなくシビエもオスカーもＦＥＴ極東もレイブリックも通じなかったのには寂しささえ覚えました。
今でもコーナー進入でアクセルをほんのチョットだけ踏み込んでしまいます。
そんなオヤジの助手席に子供の頃から座っていた息子が免許を取って４年が経ち何気なく話して来た言葉が「ＧＴＲ乗りの友達から お前と走ると楽しい きっと育った環境が違うんだろうねって言われた」と嬉しそうに話して来ました。
でもお前の車は１８００ｃｃのＮＡのＡＴだろ？ と思ったけど口には出せませんでした。
数年後には電動自動車の時代が来ると思いますが個人的にはワクワクしています。
変速機の無いダイレクト駆動なら１００ｋｍからアクセルを踏むと１速と同じフル加速をしてくれるので新しい世界が生まれると思っています。
なんとも楽しそうな体験をして来たんですね。
俺も一発目のブレーキングでだいたいわかるのでヤバいヤツだったらすぐに離脱しますw
俺も電気自動車についてはあまり悲観的ではないですね!
