  • Is the 2023 Kia Sportage now able to compete against the likes of the Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, Chevrolet Equinox, Hyundai Tucson, Nissan Rogue or Subaru Forester? In this video I review the X-Line trim and compare it to its competitors.
    2023 Kia Sportage X-Line Limited
    2.5L, 4cylinder, 8-speed automatic transmission
    187hp with 178 lb-ft torque
    Fuel: Regular
    Avg. 9.5L to 9.6L/100km
    Trunk Space: Max Cargo Capacity
    Kia Sportage = 73.7 cu.ft or 2,086.95L
Honda CRV = 76.5 cu. ft or 2,166.23L
    Toyota RAV4 = 69.8 cu. ft or 1,976.51L
    Hyundai Tucson = 74.44L

This is an awesome car that I bought one. Thank you for a wonderful review. I bought the 2023 Kia Sportage SX Prestige AWD Hybrid. I love it. Mine is coming in another month. It has the best 1.6L Turbo engine with the Hybrid engine at 38MPG. I am very impressed with all of it. So many features. The Panoramic sunroof is simple awesome. It is built very well with great quality. The LED projector lights are very bright and go very far. The engine is very quick and quiet. No road noise at all. Thank you for your honest review.

Very thorough review, when you have it in sport mode it's programmed to hang onto the lower gears. When you're blasting some acceleration and then lift off suddenly it assumes you're getting ready to take some heroic curve or something. Versus upshifting as it would in normal or eco mode or something similar.

As a former owner of the 3rd(?) generation 2015 Sportage LX, I really enjoyed driving it for 7 years. Traded it in for a 2019 Sorento LX+ V6 this year, for the increased towing capacity. I am surprised that the 2.5 turbo is not available in the 2023 Sportage SX

My last vehicle was a 2011 Kia Sorento. It was one of the least expensive, over 10 years of ownership, I ever had. But after ten years, I began to have problems and wished it was a Toyota.

Hello Juliana. I like the Kia Sportage. It is also available in Europe, but it is more different both on the outside and on the inside. Personally, I prefer the model from Canada and the USA and I prefer the Hybrid engine. The car looks spectacular! I appreciate the successful evolution of this brand .And the 2.5 liter engine is very good. I guess it is aspirated. Spacious interior, good ergonomics. A nice presentation. Thank you Juliana.👍

Some interesting info that isn't in other reviews. However, the information about cargo capacity for the Sportage and competitors could be much better. Cubic feet is not very useful for me. I have a very large dog, and I'm looking for SUVs that have enough space to fit her very large crash-tested crate, so I need to know the dimensions in inches. How tall is it in the cargo area, including at the lowest point? How wide between wheel wells? Distance from back of front seats to back of cargo area? I know from talking to other people hunting for vehicles that can accommodate various sizes and numbers of dog crates, that it is very frustrating reading reviews that leave out the details of cargo space. The smallest crash-tested crate that I want to use for my dog is 40 3/8" long, 29 7/8" tall, and 21 5/8" wide. Will it fit in the back of the Sportage (with rear seats down as I don't need to use them anyway)? Or does that slope towards the rear of the Sportage mean a crate this tall won't work?

    • @AutomotiveWoman
      @AutomotiveWoman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hi M P, I recommend visiting your local dealer once you've narrowed down costs. Then bring your dog crate with u when u go for a test drive. Thanks for watching.

Its a great car, however it has very little power, and drives like a heavy boat with poor spring suspension or control, in addition terrible turn radius. Its very sad because everything else is awesome, especially if they update the screen controls. Very sad they car feels like a lead boat, they destroyed an amazing car, if it was tight and had much more power this car will decimate the competition.
