    As a Jiu-Jitsu guy, one of my regrets is I never got to wrestle seriously. I have tremendous respect for the sport and I just love this vid. The athleticism, the hard training, the explosions, the technique, the coaching about taking a moment to reset mentally. Beautifull.

    I miss D1 wrestling. Grinding it out with great teammates, learning together, working off 6-8 pounds of sweat, and having good coaches working you to that next level. It feels great walking out of a practice that you just knew made you a better wrestler at the end of the day.

      Tommy G! Bro you have taken wrestling to the next level with your channel. I am trying to do the same. I have been wrestling for 5 years and doing youtube for about 6 months, maybe a little more. I have over 300 videos and closing in on 2k subscribers. I post all my matches, wins and losses. I post training videos and some clips from camps too. What I don't have is any interviews with other wrestling youtubers. Bro I am literally a hour and a half north of you. Any way I could do an interview with you for my channel? I know it wouldn't do anything huge for you, but it would be dope for me and my channel. I am 100% sure my parents would drive me down there. When it comes to the coaches at Michigan they know they are being recorded. Most likely they are making the practice more intense to make the program look the best possible. Also at the same time higher intensity doesn’t mean it is a better practice. To the people watching this and thinking this is what practice is actually like at Michigan then you are most likely mistaken. The only way you would know is if you went to a practice behind closed doors. That is actually how you can actually tell how a practice is run. I understand this is a high level club/D1 organization but still, if you are a coach you will most likely make the hardest practice possible to make your club look the best.

      @@WaxGroove Haven’t coached but I’ve been coached by the head wrestling coach from Michigan. I do Izzy Style wrestling in high school and with this club college level coaches come in almost every other couple of weeks. Izzy Style is practically on the same level as a college program. When the college coaches weren’t being filmed the yelling was significantly less and the intensity was significantly less. The intensity was less but technique was more of a priority. This is just an observation. I think the Michigan coach’s are amazing, I just believe that when coaches are getting recorded then they will make the practices harder to make the club stand out better.

    • @Dantheman2634
      @Dantheman2634 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@HitSquadwrestling At Izzy style wrestling it is in Illinois. Izzy Style is a program that goes all year round but typically people go at Izzy during the spring, summer, and early fall before the actual high school season starts. If you were to wrestle at Izzy I’ll just say that it is very expensive. Last year it cost 1,000 dollars to join for a season. Also yes we do have walk in training but you need to register or your parents need to register you up. The coaching at Izzy is exceptional although unfortunately our assistant coach Cory Clark left a bit ago to coach somewhere else for more money. At Izzy a lot of college coaches walk in very frequently. At Izzy we have been coached by Mike Poeta, Chris Bono, Sean Bormet, NCAA finalist at North Carolina and others. If you were to go practice on Sunday, Monday, and Wednesday during the Spring, Summer, and early fall it is at 6:45pm to around 8:40pm for heavy weights.(about 160 pounds and up) For light weights(about 160 or lower it is from 5:00pm to around 6:40pm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays every weight comes in at time of 5:00pm. If you want to know the address of the place just look up Izzy Style Wrestling. If you have any other questions just ask me.

    Sorry Michigan but after that beat down by penn and lackluster performance by several wrestlers maybe you should hold off on tv crews coming into the room. Im sorry but theres losing which there absolutely nothing wrong with then theres giving up which several of your wrestlers did and thats not ok at a top tier wrestling program

    Here’s what I can’t wait to see….Starocci tech fall Griffith at Big10’s.
    Shane probably thought it was a huge victory wrestling a PSU backup that was 9 pounds lighter than him….Mich bench was cheering like he won the Nationals. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤡🤡
