Just swapped out my Injectors and diff ratios as ive got 33s fitted.
I will be fitting my 12mm pump as soon as I have manualised my Automatic transmission.

Wow those hiluxs are light. I put my jeep grand cherokee on the scales with half a tank of fuel and it was 2640kg.
They definitely don't weigh much definitely great power to weight rating.

Was this filmed way above sea level? My landcruiser prado with intercooled 1kzte seems twice as fast and it's a standard motor.

@@TRAV30387 Watched this vid yesterday. Took my stock 2.8 3L ln106 with 515,000km and tried to do the zero to 100kph. Frankston/Dandy rd, Thomson rd intersection from the lights heading to Frankston in the 100kph zone, took about 20secs to get to 100kph. Admittedly I have 31" KO2's, standard 4.3 diffs but nothing else. I run Nulon diesel guard in it and have done since buying it 2 years ago. It improved performance immensely. Sadly Supercheap no longer sell it and so Nulon have stopped making it. I bought the last 3 bottles that were locally available 😊. Lucas do a cetane booster so I bought a bottle from a shop in Hallam rd to try at some stage. I am telling you this because I had thought about putting a 1KZ-TE with box into my lux but after seeing the affordable power build results, I was a bit disappointed. It looks like your friend Scott's lux had KO2's and you have KO3"s? or certainly more aggressive tyres which should create more drag so I thought his vehicle would have done better.

I was hoping to see 1KZ tow test 2+ tons of boat! No suck luck. Building another 80 series after I sold my pride and joy safari due to mega roof rust and kids needing dirt bikes!
Always wanted 1 of these luxes but wondered how it would tow my boat at nearly 3 ton on trailer
No go buddy. Most definitely wouldn’t recommend and would really struggle and 3 tons is over gvm

Excellent mate.. pretty straight forward the parts are from blake at hfm diesel performance there on Facebook they have the required components ad for installation its just setting up u have to cut n weld pree easy my mate and i spent 3 or so hours on that part 😀

I've got a Hilux with a 1kz te my friends with the same engine in a super custom van his goes a bit better than mine do you think bigger wheels and four-wheel drive slow them down
Definitely bigger tyres slow them down for a start mate
I own a prado rz 1kzte intercooled and 0 to 80 is quick but after 80 car slows down alot and starts to vibrate above 100 what can be the issue love from pakistan brother

I have a 2l-t pre turbo 550-650 °C no intercooler. Crete Greece similar temps as u ;)
Apparently 1KZs are prone of cracking heads under high temps. You both run spotties as well restricting airflow. I have a standard 1Kz hilux towing a 1200kg caravan but am running hot with long ascends (>90 water, >120 engine block). I guess the inter cooler and bigger exhaust will help with that?
they sure are prone but cooling is the biggest issue check your fan hub ive got a video on how to check and fix and an exhaust and cooler will defs help gettin as much air in and out helps

Mine 1kzte dont know how seems more powerful than stock i have done 160kmh in auto transmission and still pulling and it has a home made exhaust pipe about size of fist and it make a very loud turbo noise at about 1500 to 2000 rpm and engine make a really big sound when heated to optimal
Sounds like you may have a healthy 1kz that just goes better that Standard 👌
@@TRAV30387 dont know we have swapped it with a 2lte turbo which was rubbish and also put a diff of 10:41 10 teeth small gear and 41 teeth bigger gear which run the the wheels

I got a hpd top mount on a 2004 hilux. it's ok. But my ute is in pieces atm so I'm going to get a 9inch thermo fan under it and change the rocket cover to a 120 prado 1kz (it's got a little bit more room on it for the fan) that's what I've researched.

Thats a coustom job mate talk to any fabrication mob who deal with cars and scotts had cab lift and extended shackles Colorado leafs and front end wound up from what i can remember cheers

I rebuild them every day of the week. Even with new nozzles (any nozzle you want fitted) new springs, shims, dustcaps, backleak washers +labour they dont get near that.
What kind of fuel economy uses get?

I've got a 2004 sr5 Diesel and wanting more power. Spoken to mechanics and they have said that it's not worth the money for the power you get. At the moment its in the getting pro lockers and 4.1 gears putting in. So is it worth it coz I love my car
Mate definitely worth it ive got from 90hp to 165hp and 482nms at the rears if u prepared to spend a fair bit its awsome

I had the ozbush fuel cut defender and a DP chip on my kzn165r, whilst running 20PSI and the chip on max it went great. Never had it on a dyno but it could beat a 4JJ1 Dmax acceleration wise to 120kmh. Just needed an intercooler to keep the temps low on the big hills. Cheers. Love the content
