Please check, silicon is a conductor at room temperature not a insulator. Some bonds will break at room temp. It's insulator at absolute zero. One of my student saw your video and questioning me on this.

Ma'am during diffusion the width of depletion region thickens . But during forward biasing due to repulsion the holes recombine with -ve charges present in depletion region resulting the reduction of depletion layer . So I had a confusion, during diffusion there is no recombinantion ? In both cases diffusion is happening but in forward biasing width of depletion region is reduced and in p-n junction width of depletion region is increased . Why ? Ma'am please explain. Thank you ❤
