- Atlanta Falcons (3-4) go into Candlestick Park to face the (1-6) San Francisco 49ers. Special team mistakes set up the 1st two scores of the game. Vin Scully Jim Brown and George Allen call the game for CBS.
Hey, I haven't seen this one before, and of course, this was not shown in my local viewing area. Such a blessing to be able to fill in the gaps when re-watching or learning more about a particular season. More folks need to see the 1977 -1978 "Gritz Blitz". Thank you, as always, for sharing these gems.
REAL 49ERS FANS!!
Vin Scully, Jim Brown and George Allen!!! *TRIFECTA!!!*
Best combo ever. Take that Howard, Frank, and Dandy
How'd they get roped into this bum game?
Pretty sweet.
Rip to all three of them
The mid to late 70's were the dark days of the 49ers. Bleak, bleak, bleak!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this game. The video/audio quality is good for a game from the 1970's. As always, than you, Rich! Any luck with the Oct. 11, 1981 game, between the Jets and the Patriots? Much obliged!
I'll have to get this one from a private collector. I also would like to find Patriots vs Colts 1981 week 16. I call this one the loser bowl.
@@survivor5044 Thanks for your efforts, Rich. It's great to see you back, after a brief absence. I would gladly watch the second Pats/Colts game of the 81' season.
18:49 Block party for Rick Byas! Touchdown!
He got the trifecta.
You can learn a lot by watching this . Eddie DeBartolo was a great owner . Walsh was a great HeadCoach. Montana , Rice, Craig,Lott ,Taylor etc were great players. John Madden and Pat Sommerall were the best!!!!
I guess you didn't watch this.
My first year of season tickets…😊
Bill Walsh wrote that the 1978 49ers were one of the worst teams in NFL history. This video shows why.
Though O.J. was playing on a gimpy knee by this time, that trash 49er o-line certainly did not help his performance.
8:00 O.J. *the murderer* first rushing TD in two years!!
In the immortal words of the great Tobey Charles;
Ohh. myyy, that was a BAD one...
