For future reference. When you install a knock-off carb, disassemble it in order to clean it. One of the things that they do not do, is ensure that it is clean and ready to use. Usually there will be small particulates in the float chamber and all around the carb, and eventually it'll get into the jets and etc. If it's pirate, give it a wash!
I'm in a similar situation. Converted my car to a 38dgas I picked up second hand. Struggling to get it running right, and I've been considering one of these cheap Chinese units. Think I might take the plunge!
@davec200i exactly the same situation haha. I'd recommend giving it a try, mines managed to start up a few times no issues, no leaks either, choke was quite straightforward to wire in too
Cheers dude. Just ordered 👍 I had fully stripped down and rebuilt an original Weber, so was invested in it haha. But will see if I have more success with this out the box!
I'd love one, but unfortunately the B230k doesn't cop up often, and when they do they go for about 1k, the B230E is normally a couple hundred. However, thankfully on my application, it's worked quite well, it's a B200E

@@ASDASD34RDFS I got spooked as I didn't want to damage anything, but you're right, it does need doing, cheers!
@@SkidsNDonuts Yhea I get it. Might break during disassemble because of chinesium.
But it is a good habit if you want to keep it running a long time.
I think you might need some engine mounts as well.
@BuyongoPhiri haha it's awful right? I have new mounts and a new subframe, should be a video soon
Good work man!
@@blueheelersbikesandvolvos thanks mate 😀
Nice Job! I think your engine would benefit from new engine mounts as well. That could eliminate a lot of shaking.
@pepijnwittopkoning4582 thanks! I have some new mounts and a new subframe, waiting on some more parts and then I can change the lot out

good job bro
@@lamborghini8723 thank you mate
The compression ratio of the E engine is not designed for carburettor operation. You need a B230K engine.
What's the ideal compression ratio? Is there a way to make up for it in E engines?
