    i think you should build a bigger box for two P2.. an 8" AEROPORT box

      He got rid of these and then got 4 p2s and those things were crazy but now he’s back down to 2 Sony xplodes but they still slap

    i literally have the same jeep running 8 gauge wire with just a regular tube fuse ,4 gauge ground, with the same p2s in a very similar box 1000 watt memphis amp was curious would a larger box be more sufficient

    How do you reduce the body shaking?

  • @suzukigsxr5
    @suzukigsxr5 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey do you have any issues with these subs having a burning smell when you have them bumping for about 5-10 mins?

    • @rigginituphicks9943
      @rigginituphicks9943  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Never with these p2s, I would check your gains and all that and make sure your subs aren’t clipping or anything

    • @suzukigsxr5
      @suzukigsxr5 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok thanks for your reply, I have a Rockford fosgate p1000 amp and I guess it’s to much for the 2 p2 (12”s). Maybe I will get 2 more and they will balance out

      That means there too loud. Turn the bass down a little bit

      @@suzukigsxr5 Are you trying to run at 1ohm? I don't care what anyone says, 1ohm isn't the best idea for continuous use, everything is going to get warm even if the amp claims it's stable. P2's are rated 400rms. If you are pushing two P2's at 1ohm, you're at 500rms each which shouldn't really be a huge problem power wise if you keep the gains set right. But you are still running that 1ohm. Best off keeping to 2ohm. But with that p1000, that's only 500rms which would underpower the subs.

      The simplicity? That looked like a shit show. Literally had the red power wire passing around the hood hinge dropping out the glove box with the amp screwed into the glove box but then ran the other power wire for the sub amp on the opposite side of the vehicle and has a couple 6x9s mounted to a board in his back seat and that’s just scrapping the surface of how not simple that setup is.

      This system has been out of his jeep for years he now has a way better and cleaner set up, we are still young we don’t have to be perfectionists. If it works and doesn’t burn down your vehicle that’s all that matters,we have gotten better with our wiring we used to not care that much, we have learned from past mistakes
