You both are going through the wars guys. Poor John, most probably didn't help rawling changing beds with his bad shoulder. Your lunches looked scrumptious.one day at a time Mandy. Luv you both loads ❤
Oh Mandy I am sat here with a big smile on my face because it is so good to see you looking a little better, slowly, slowly. Now I know you may say whaaaaat but a really good thing to do to keep the boredom at bay is colouring in books and half decent coloured pencils, you may roll your eyes and laugh out loud but they work, oh yeh for John as well😉😂. Anyway, a great tip for shoulder pain is to stand in front of a wall or outside the van in your case. Walk each arm alternate up the outside of the van even though it hurts. At least four times a day. You need to get the arm stretched above the head. This loosens a frozen shoulder. Important thing is to not end up with a frozen shoulder. I also used to sleep sitting up supported with plenty of pillows and a hot water bottle on the shoulder. Blimey I am exhausted after that lot. Right food looked amazing and here’s wishing you both a great week ahead. See you in the next one petal. 😉🤪😁
Hari OM Oh, I am a bit behind in my viewing! Ta for the catch up... recuperation blues is a good thing - it means things are definitely headed on the up! Keen to get going and all that. And if it knocks you back for a day, so be it, just rest again. ... and keep that lovely smile going! YAM xx
Mandy just a thought a little cross stitch kit from Asda, it makes you concentrate on something else for a time, and won’t take up much room in the van while doing it, plus you can give it as a gift after x
Hi Mandy, you're sounding a bit better now, and looking more healthy too, so that's great to see. Hopefully you'll be regaining your strength and be able to do more soon. Take care, as always. 👋🇬🇧🇪🇺🇺🇦
You are so much brighter, Mandy. Feeling bored is probably a good sign. Have you tried audible. I have ms and sometimes it’s hard to concentrate, I find it good at those times. The Thursday murder club is light and very entertaining.
So good to see you looking brighter…Goonhavern just outside Perranporth has a great garden centre (loads of parking for Johns van) and a lovely Baytree restaurant, perfect for breakfast or lunch…also a fruit and veg eco shop too…best pasties have to be Chapmans butchers in Perranporth, lovely deli there too. Miners Arms in Mithian is a fab traditional pub with great grub…we’re staying nearby in our static. I can recommend crochet for helping to reduce boredom 😊
Hi Mandy, I send you a big virtual hug. My partner still not had his stop /start heart operation and it looks like it will not be until the mid October xx❤
You definitely look and sound so much better. Just remember to pace yourself I was not very good at doing that and kept overdoing it when I had a good day and then setting myself back. You will get there but it’s great to see you looking and clearly feeling better than you were. Fingers crossed for continued improvement and some nice weather. x
Hi Mandy, just so lovely to see you today and looking really well. I hope John is also feeling better. I hope you don’t get too bored it must be very frustrating for you both. Take care and see you next time😊😊
If you look up Roskillies Farm icecream you may like it. They make best ice cream in Cornwall they also do food and a great Sunday lunch. They have a big carpark a small Farm bit where you can see ikkle piggies, goats, cows and various birds. They have also opened a camping / campervan field this year. And you are in the right place for visiting lizard, Helford River and various other nice spots
Definitely continuing to look and sound better by the day 🙂it makes a huge difference to have a good GP! I was more or less housebound with Chronic Fatigue for a couple of years, what got me through the cabin fever was watching you and John (and Cooper❤), Mevi, Dave B, Louie and Jo and a couple of others. When I couldn't travel I joined you all on your trips, watched Greg Virgoe build his van and John do various improvements to the Autofail and you do all your super craft bits - you kept me sane through the worst part of my health issues. This also gave me ideas for a bundle of little projects to keep me occupied as and when I could do things and inspiration for our own vanbuild - though Sprintie is very basic compared to all your vans! Hope the new Magnesium helps with the sleep, as thats a big part of the fatigue and brain fog. Take it easy, do little bits then rest for a while - as sometimes then you can tell you've had enough. Hope you get some sunshine to just sit out and enjoy. ❤
Lovely to see you Mandy. Hopefully John shoulder better. The menopause symptoms are horrible, especially when youre also recovering from major surgery & cancer. Try to restrict junk food & have balanced diet. This will help with sleeping, tiredness etc. Stay strong Mandy, its a pleasure to watch your videos. ❤
Hi Mandy, you're looking better for sure! If you like pasties make sure you try one of Ann's! Original place on the lizard but also available in Helston, and Porthleven and I'm sure elsewhere too... also if you like icecreams you must try a quirky ice cream from swanpool beach at Falmouth... the best (especially if you like clotted cream!!)
Starlings! Marazion Marsh is where they collect up for their winter exodus & it's *_really_* impressive to watch, the birds are hidden in the reeds then they all erupt at once & the sky vanishes behind swirling birds then they suddenly vanish again, over & over for maybe a week or 2. Mostly October I think but the timing is dependent on the weather & there's not been many insects this year so maybe this month.
I’m with you Mandy re the Pizza 🍕 Hut salad 🥗 bar. I absolutely love the variety along with all the dressings, including my favourite blue cheese dressing along with a scattering of bacon bits. Mmm yum….just made myself hungry now. 😃
Lovely to see you looking so good! Every day is a day nearer to getting back to your old self.....and you are so lucky to have your guardian angel with you.....he does a grand job!!!!! I suffer from insomnia so glad you mentioned the meds, I'm going to try them, thank you Mandy xxxx
So lovely to see you again Mandy & looking amazing i must say. Just keep taking those small steps and make sure you get lots of rest in between. The menopause on top of everything must be challenging. God.. those restless legs tell me about it 😮💨😴🙄. Still us women are made of strong stuff and you definately are Mandy. Thankyou for taking time to give us an update. Hope John's injury gets sorted soon. Love to you both 💜💜💜💜💜xxxxxx
Nice to see you looking so much better. Had a couple of major ops myself so I know how you feel, so frustrating, you want to do something and can't. It will come. You have a wonderful husband looking after you, make sure he takes some breaks as well. Keep smiling and take it easy. XX
Great to see you improving Mandy, you're doing it just the right way, small gains at a time, get John to go get his shoulder/arm sorted out, all the best, Neil in Kent
Hi Mandy, you’re doing SO well! As for pasties, someone else has already mentioned Gear Farm which are top notch (and you can just park on the road while you get them). They go very fast though so get there early. Phelps as recommended are good. Also try Ann’s pasties on the Lizard as that’ll give you a nice drive too. The cafe at Lizard point is excellent and a glorious view. Are you guys members of the National Trust? If not I would buy a single membership to get the FREE car parking and you will be spoilt for choice all over Cornwall. Lots of days out with a guarantee of a good car park with no height barrier and as much or little walking as you feel like. Oh yes, that reminds me - McFadden’s butchers in St Just are another top pasty and you can go down to Cape Cornwall car park (NT) or Botallack where there is lots of level ground to walk along the coast path. I spent ten years working and living in the far West of Cornwall and there is SO much to see and do. From St Just, drive the coast road to Zennor. Stunning on a clear day. Lots of love X
Every vlog we can see an improvement Mandy, and you’re looking and sounding a bit better every week. That Cornish sea air is just what the doctor ordered.
Glad your getting there hun x even if it’s slow going that pin prick of light at the end of the tunnel is getting bigger x get yourselves a Cornish cream tea and it shouldn’t be to busy now the kids are back at school x luvs n hugs to both xx
Can't believe we were there at Marazion when you were. That's our Benimar motorhome behind you when you pay at the ticket bollards !! You look amazing. So glad you are getting out & about.
@unadventurousmandy We did thank you. We would have been putting our hiking boots on in the motorhome ( we fold our mirrors in when we leave it) Can't believe you were right outside our window ! Sad l didn't get to say hello.
I’ve had Severe Hormonal Incapacitating Turmoil aka S.H.I.T since puberty, I’m 55. And still suffering ..but worn a crisis team recommended LADYCARE MAGNET since 2012..it reduces symptoms ..stopped suicide attempts ..not the thoughts …stopped violent outbursts and rages ..made it more inward than outward 🌈✝️😇🕊️😘🥰😍 My daughter had also endured S.H.I.T for two yrs now and wears a magnet. It also reduces melt downs in folk with Asperger’s. Look into magnet therapy for menopause and it may pop up x x x AS I SAID IT DOESN’T END THE STRUGGLES……BUT REDUCES THEM x x x
So Happy to see you. Your videos make me feel better. I'm struggling with my mental health with my chemo. I get so flustered not being able to get on with being normal and working. You are my inspiration.
Hi Mandy, Sorry to hear about John, not feeling to good but you are looking a lot better Mandy one step at a time & you will soon reach your goal you both look after each other & that is what a good relationship is all about all the best to you both Lin 💖🙂
Glad you're feeling and looking bit better . The magnesium has helped me with sleep. I'm also taking Iodine as this seems to help with so many ailments. Take care both of you. Hugs x❤
Mandy you look and sound so much better. Really hope Johns shoulder improves, i had to go the hospital with both my shoulders, the Dr sent me for xrays but because i couldnt put my arms in certain positions they guessed i had 2 frozen shoulders. If the weather is cold i do get some pain in them and im limited to what I can pick up. For instance the kettle if it has 2 mugs of water in I struggle in the cooler temps. ❤❤ Love and hugs to you both. Xx
You’re looking and sounding a lot better already Mandy, especially as you’re talking about giving John good rub down, ooh aah missus! For his shoulder, I meant for his shoulder. As he’s chief carer and nurse at the moment, we’d all appreciate it if John doesn’t decide to wear a short miniskirt nurses uniform! So you admit to doing a bit too much then, what did everyone say to you? I’m sure John does his best to stop you, but you really must try not o over do it. Just going out for a bit of a drive round and maybe a spot of lunch out would give you a change of scenery to maybe help the boredom. Take care the pair of you.
I am always so glad when I see that you have posted a new video. I know it has been a long time for your recovery but I do feel you are handling it well. And I think the stir crazy means you are getting better . The physical part will come soon. If you can just do a little bit more each day you will get stronger . You look and sound peppier and smile more. Sorry to hear that John is under the weather a bit. I hope that is getting better each day also. Looking forward to more of your mini adventures.
Glad the wobbly legs are improving. Because of health issues I spend a lot of time at home. I’ve just downloaded Audible and found seven hours of Radio 4 Trollope dramas. I’m impressed. Many classic books aren’t on the library website. Knitting is my therapy I can churn out 2 baby hats for charity a night, When you’re not 100% it’s impossible to concentrate and it’s frustrating. One day at a time both of you. Things will, will, will get better ❤
Some of the best pasties we've had in Cornwall were from the Pasty shop in Peranporth right down by the beach. I don't know the name but you'll know it when you see it because there's always a queue outside. Perranporth is proper old seaside like a lot of the little seaside places in Cornwall. I much prefer that to the likes of Paignton and Torbay etc in Devon. Even in Looe you get a better class of seagull trying to nick your chips. 🙂🙄
Glad to see you looking and sounding so much better. You mentioned getting up piddling all night. Can I recommend pumpkin seed oil. I thought I was constantly on the verge of a UTI, in so much pain all the time, and this sorted it out within 24 hrs.
I think the schools have gone back now Mandy, so towns and places may be a bit quieter when you go out, hope Johns shoulder settles soon, and you pace yourself so you don’t overdo it ❤️
Good to see you up and about. Not sure what your plans are but if they involve being up East Riding way again this winter let us know, we might be able to help you chill in some bricks and mortar for a bit.
Hya Wow! You are looking amazing, glad you both seeing something of Cornwall. Philips pasties at hayle they are made there . Gwithian near Hayle nice sea views, national trust car park 2 car parks . Only way would be is to park at long stay at st Eirth station. Get train into st Ives. But its a bit if a walk into st ives from station.😊
Hi Mandy your opening a right hornets nest on best pasties, sticking my twopence in I would say 1st Gear Farm near Helston but they sell out by 1 ish. 2nd Pengenna at Tintagial (Em & Lou) had them. 3rd Ann’s pasties at the Lizard. Oh and a special mention for Ivor Dewnies Plymouth but don’t take it back over the bridge. Ummmmmm pasties Take it easy Kev
Hey Mandy, sorry to hear that you're both a bit under the weather. One of the things I found really helped my sleeplessness was spray magnesium on my feet - really works for me - knocks me out good and proper - might be worth a try for you ? X
Hi Mandy and John, just a thought but have you checked out Barbara O'Neil, YTube? She's amazing in alternative medicines, what to take for which issue you may have. I have used many of Barbara's recipes for different issues and swear by them. It was the crackling of the lungs you mentioned that made me think of Barbara and her recipes for health. Anyway, just wanted you to have the option of looking her up and benefiting from her decades of knowledge. I also take magnesium for a good sleep. Lots of love to you Mandy, good to see you looking so much better and of course John, hope his shoulder is improving x

Mandy you look and sound so much better. Really hope Johns shoulder improves, i had to go the hospital with both my shoulders, the Dr sent me for xrays but because i couldnt put my arms in certain positions they guessed i had 2 frozen shoulders.

Mmm lunch looked yummy 😊
Hey Mandy, sorry to hear that you're both a bit under the weather. One of the things I found really helped my sleeplessness was spray magnesium on my feet - really works for me - knocks me out good and proper - might be worth a try for you ? X
Mandy your food looks a lot more healthy than Johns at Marazion. Glad you are walking better, take care.
I do love a ploughman’s 😂
By the way...when you see my posts, it's Angie that's speaking! The account is registered in hubby's name.....just thought I'd mention that❤
Hi Mandy and John, just a thought but have you checked out Barbara O'Neil, YTube? She's amazing in alternative medicines, what to take for which issue you may have. I have used many of Barbara's recipes for different issues and swear by them. It was the crackling of the lungs you mentioned that made me think of Barbara and her recipes for health.
Anyway, just wanted you to have the option of looking her up and benefiting from her decades of knowledge. I also take magnesium for a good sleep. Lots of love to you Mandy, good to see you looking so much better and of course John, hope his shoulder is improving x
Here's a challenge for you, try to find a bakery that sell mince pies that already have the mushy peas inside 🙂
❤️❤️❤️
🙏❤️👍
♥♥
John try and take a bit of night nurse before bed. It’ll knock you out xx
Good to see some normality for you both. Great you are feeling better, slowly but surely ❤
Lego is good for boredom , says a 60 year old Lego addict who wakes-up 4 or 5 hours earlier than his boyfriend 🤣
I haven't shaved my legs since I used to wear my wife's clothes 😉
