    Tip to anyone who plans to apply a tempered glass screen protector: Wait at least eight hours before using the Switch in the dock as the heat can melt the adhesive if you don’t let it dry.
    Preferably, you should wait overnight for the adhesive to settle.

    Wow. Very good quality for a smaller channel like this ( not saying 900 is bad, that's actually really good!). I was surprised when there was only 916 subscribers. Oh wait. Now it's 917 👍🏻

    MUCH better than the official plastic screen protector Nintendo's been offering.

      Khajiit Master Race If you've seen Blunty's protector screen channel, you'll know how low-quality it is. It can get easily scratched by anything.

      I seriously regret getting Nintendo's screen protector, it's terrible. I should have read the reviews first before deciding which one to get. But no worries cause now I just placed an order for a better screen protector and had to throw the other one away!

    One thing to note is that whatever bubbles you have will eventually go away over time if you don't feel like getting the last 1-2 out.

    I used it today. Its the best screen protector I have ever used. And they are generous. A pack includes 2 of screen protectors.
    Thanks Amfilm!

    I got this one. Because we had a half husky dog at the time (we had to put her down last month as she was on death's door, we have a new dog now) and due to my having problems putting screen protectors on correctly (I screwed up the flimsy ones), I opted to take it to someone who puts screen protectors on phones and sells phone cases as well as does screen repairs for a living. They did it for no charge and they had already done it for their Switch, using the same one. Works well.

    you should have used the stickers to put the screen protector like a door.
    for a perfect placement and application.
    it make things a lot easier....

    • @NWGR
      @NWGR 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      His alignment was perfect. The round "wings" along with the cutouts make it really easy to align.

    • @Tailslol

      NW yea but not everyone is as good, so this is a advice in case of need...
      (and it could have helped to put it without bubble...)

    Having decided on the amFilm One Touch Glass Screen & Cam Protector for my Samsung S23+ after comparing a few but being great price and positive reviews (I'm only protecting the screen, the cam protector doesn't fit with my the case fitted so I didn't bother), I found it excellent taking a single attempt to fit using the provided plastic alignment 'dock' which the one in this video doesn't seem to have available. Being sure to match up my phone properly in the dock, running my finger down the middle of the protector from the center to the top then from the center to the bottom as per the installation video, the protector settled cleanly and without grief on the first attempt. As per the installation video available, any bubbles were easily coaxed out simply by lifting the nearest corner slightly and letting the screen settle back down. Doing this I required no use of the (yes flimsy) squeegee provided and Its been in use for over a year now and no marks, scratches, fingerprints or smudges are to be seen.

    1:40 "then came the hard part" I started from the bottom and worked up as I put the protection thingi go on . . . this way I never had any problems with air . . . I think this was the Easy part.
    Hard part was to put it on the clean screen, I mean my screen got dush so fast that I re cleaned my switch screen few times :D

    • @SwitchItUpYT
      @SwitchItUpYT  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ha yeah your experience was definitely different than mine. I did clean my screen like a fiend though. I was SO paranoid about dust!

    • @xezzee
      @xezzee 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First time using thous things is hard :D but after doing it few times it starts to become easy . . .
      I don't know if the one you used is flexible which would cause minor problems :D I used plastic one for switch so I could bend it some what so I could just easely push it to stick . . . but I think something similar could have worked.
      I had little experience when I use "sticky backed plastic" to my school books :) that helped alot. after cover about 10 books the part where there is no air is the easy part, but dirt becomes a problem if you don't have clean working place.

      Amaet I have had this for a few days now and play Zelda in the dock often and I have had no issues. I will say after putting the screen protector on, I limited overall play to let it set up really good.

    • @immortalsun

      Let the Switch sit overnight after applying the screen protector before you dock the Switch. This lets the adhesive dry.

    • @DaBomb5309
      @DaBomb5309 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's really not that hard. just line up the plus and minus when putting it on. and taking it off, hold the bottom partof the strap as theres these little pins that hold it in place. make sure to release the white lock on the bottom too. sidenote: i dont know why but my straps were never too stubborn out of the box for me compared to the horror stories i've heard

  • @robin.feather
    @robin.feather 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    So, how does it hold up? I'm thinking of getting this screen protector, but some reviews says that the protector will melt after the switch has been used in docked mode even when they waited 48 hours or more to let the protector settle. Have you had some similar or other problems?

  • @ISpyBobbeh
    @ISpyBobbeh 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Wondering how responsive the screen is after the protector is on, since I have a plastic screen protector on mine and noticed it would sometimes ignore my touch inputs.

    • @SwitchItUpYT

    Did mine similar way and the adhesive was able to squeeze out the air on its own so never had any bubble issues. Must be that I actually used the dry wipe🤔

  • @urjnlegend
    @urjnlegend 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    it works great, but the thing i dont get is, the stock screen itself if plastic, and basically isnt gonna crack, so a nice plastic screen protector would have worked just fine. Ive seen some for ohones that withstand direct intentional key scratches , once my protector breaks, im def putting a nicer plastic one on, no sense in putting a glass one. literslly the only reason to have glass is for the hardness factor of glass, but a god plastic one would be better actually

  • @shudoku6892
    @shudoku6892 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    the only issue I had was that one of the screens I got. it had the adhesive on the wrong side. So it got confusing when I realized the screen was gathering dust like crazy. I had to use my second screen, so i installed just like the first and had no problems. overall a great screen I just had that one odd problem.

  • @tonywood25

  • @gdprice79
    @gdprice79 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    That was made to look very difficult. Between me and my kids we have 3 Switches. My experience is just to clean the screen, line up the cutouts and border and drop it on. I like hinge style from the bottom. Avoid touching it right away and just watch it adhere to the screen and spread out to the edges. No bubbles at all needed to be pushed out because none formed . The key is just drop it on and let it settle.

    Wasted $11 on this exact screen protector. No matter how much I cleaned the edges of the screen, it would not adhere in the bottom left corner, and if you try and lift the screen protector to try and realign it, your fingernail will damage the edge of the adhesive back. Fuck screen protectors, just get a storage case for bringing it with you, and be careful with it when putting it in the dock.
