I have a black '57 Ford 2 doors Custom 2 door sedan with a de-stroked Ford 427 engine and Ford Top-Loader big shaft 4 speed transmission. I bought it for $75 back in 1969. The 292 engine had a broken rod and a worn out 3 speed "on the tree" transmission. A year later, it was a badass street car and still is. The car does mid to high 9's in NHRA 1/4 mile races.
I'm doing a 1957 Ford Ragtop Convertible in rough shape. Going to make a driver out of it because I am 67 years old and want to enjoy it sooner, but I am going to try to do as good of a job as I can.
My very first car was a Green 1957 Ford Custom 500. I was 18 and the car was 6 years old. Who knows who did what to it? The car was my introduction to Auto Mechanics. Everything that could go wrong with it did. It broke my bank. Finally I sold it and bought a1957 Ford Fairlane 500 for $250 . Again the car was a beater, but it was all I could afford. I got rid of it as I went into the army and Nam.

I have one also in very good condition thinking about doing a frame swap to upgrade the ride and add power steering, good luck on your build
Good-looking 57 Ford
I went through 30 dollars of those 10 dollar break light switches last summer. Love the FE ❤
