I have Keifer pears which are over 100 years old. They are only good after they have been cooked for a while. They are amazing canned.
1 c Sugar 1/2 c shortening 2 eggs 2 c Flour 1 tsp Baking Soda 1/2 tsp Salt 1 tsp Cinnamon 1 1/2 C Cinnamon Applesauce 1 tsp Vanilla 1/2 C Nuts (optional) Bake @ 350 for 30-35 minutes for mini loaves Or 45-50 for one loaf Glaze 1/2 c Powder Sugar 2 Tsp Water
@@MennoniteFarmhouse love cinnamon bread, but just can’t come up with the right combination. I use a bread machine to do all my dough. I don’t have a spot to put my kitchen aide on the counter and way too heavy. Bread machine suits me just fine. Thanks for responding and maybe you try making cinnamon bread!

Do you keep amish bread starter? I was considering it, I have sour dough starter,but I read the amish starter can't just be left in the fridge and brought out and fed to use. So I wasn't sure... I know it's not this video, but I saw your strawberries in tires does that help keep the birds out of them?
I just have sour dough starter. I haven’t tried the friendship starter. I Haven’t had an issue with birds… mostly problems with deer in the far tire and slugs.

That’s why I went looking for a great recipe… we don’t use that much applesauce. We prefer pear sauce.

I believe in that video it’s a Bosch. I also have two KA stand mixers. I prefer the Bosch since I have had it a few months.
The mixer looks like an ANKARSRUM Mixer. They're made in Sweden.

It’s cake flour not self rising flour… that you need for this recipe. It might work but I would leave the baking soda out.

Yes I would cut back on the spices then and add little more liquid.

I haven't tried to do something like that but bread flour has 1 gram more of protein in it to produce more gluten in it.
