back in '94 i thought Patty was a total fox, still do. pure class, great voice.
When she does her version of "Never leave Harlan Alive" it's bone chilling 😳
I'm sure you've probably already seen it. But Patty and Chris Stapleton did a "Never Leave Harlan Alive' duet at the CMA's a few weeks ago. And a week or so before that, they did the same thing at an event in Kentucky. Both are on TH-cam.

"Never Leave Harlan Alive" is an anthem for coal miner's everywhere. Patty deserves a place in the Country Music H of F. She's paid her dues.

I just can't help but comment! This is soooo good! Patty is the best, but to remember that Loretta Lynn wrote almost all of her original hits is unbelievable!

It has always bothered me when folks have sung Loretta’s song because it was so personal. That being said Patty is the expectation, she too was a coal miner’s daughter. I believe I read that Patty said her father died from Black Lung disease 😢. Patty did a wonderful job singing one of my favorite songs of all time.
